The huts are cute, breakfast was tasty and the price is unbeatable. But the owners are what makes this place great!
You can tell they are working on improving the place; during our stay there was no proper shower yet and there was some noise from the workers. Ants (got a bee sting šš») and no aircon. You get what you pay for, but great value if you ask me.

Lovely vibe. The huts are situated in between banana trees. The host was super kind and helped us with transportation. The bathroom facilities were better than expected; also very clean. There were mosquito nets on the beds. We slept like roses, it was very quiet. In the morning we had an amazing breakfast.
Animals are walking around on the property.
It is a little bit further from the center of El Nido, but perfect for the start of our Keelooma trip.

family run business, very welcoming and hospitable
only downside if I have to find anything is the bucket flush and 2 bathrooms shared amongst all guests, but is what you could expect in an eco hostel in south east Asia I guess!

This place is amazing. Our favorite place we've stayed on our entire southeast asia adventure. The setting is beautiful, and the rooms are small and cozy. What makes this place a standout is the staff. The owners and everyone else make such an effort to get to know you, help with anything you might need and just genuinely care about your experience. The breakfast is phenomenal and they will help you with any tour/moped/food recommendations you might need. I cannot stress enough how much we loved our stay here and we were sad to leave. It's fairly central but I would definitely recommend hiring a bike to get around from here.
Amazing, 100/10

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was super nice and friendly and it's located within walking distance to Lio Beach.

Cabins are in a really nice garden. Good breakfast.
There is no shower, but a bucket with cold water.
The cabin I was staying in was opposite of their laundry shed where they also keep their old crates of beer and sodas, there was a foul smell coming from there.
The cabin felt a bit neglected: hole in sheet, broken door lock.

super nice owners and staff
location is in the village and may get very loud during the night (scooters, dogs, roasters). not for light speakers :)
would be great to have info that rooms have shared bathroom in their names.

The owner Anna and the staff hands down made this stay! so kind, helpful and friendly. They organized a scooter, airport transportation, laundry and delicious meals for breakfast every morning. I also enjoy sitting in the lounge area talking to fellow travelers.
It was a little far out of town, but that was clearly stated in the description and reviews.

Annie and Tom are the nicest people, super helpful and kind. The bungalow was lovely, great location, close to the airport and to the beach. The breakfast was delicious. Totally worth it!

Banana Grove is family owned hippyish place where soul has been put in! It is 15 min drive with trycle from El Nido airport and 10 min drive by scooter from town. 5 drive away you will find Lio beach.
While our stay, hosts Tom, Annie and Juna were super helpful, we spent evening together and they definitely became as one of the highlights during our trip. And sure, how not to mention breakfast! Omlette with the eggplant now is my new favorite!
thank you from all heart,
Alice and Anton

The beds were very comfortable and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a happy stay. Very peaceful area, 25 min walk to the beach. Great stay!
There was nothing that we didn't like, but it's worth highlighting that the showers are 'Filipino style' (bucket showers). Very clean and well kept!

Annie was extremely kind, generous and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with interesting selection. You donāt need a scooter but it helps to visit beaches or go to el Nido. There are several good quality restaurants nearby.
The shower is a cold water bucket but we got used to it very quickly.

It was cheap, clean and they have good scooters to rent
It was not like on the pictures and what we expected like a calm farm away from city. It is loud from the neighbourhood, scooters, chicken, even staff played loud music. no flushing for toilet and shower you you also have to use a bucket to flush. This is okay but we would have liked to know it in advance. Bed was very small so you have to tighten legs if you are taller than 1,70cm. We even changed and looked out for another accomodation.

The atmosphere of the place is amazing, the breakfast is super varied and healthy and the staff is so attentive, hospitable and helpful. Annie and her workers always help you with everything when you have questions about what places to visit around or what activities to do in El Nido. They make you feel at home from minute one, as soon as you arrive. The cabins are very nice and all the spaces are clean and tidy. Another advantage of staying in Banana Grove is that you can rent motorbikes and book boat tours right there. It has been an incredible experience and the site is highly recommended, if I could come back, I would repeat!

The Banana Grove is a welcoming and incredible place!
The common area is beautiful and we loved spending time getting to know Annie, Tom and all of their friends and guests. We immediatly felt at home, we are so grateful for their time and stories! It was hard to leave!
The huts/rooms are really cute and intimate and sit in a private jungle land on which a couple of chickens roam delightfully free. They are equiped with wi-fi, a fan, places to charge your electroniques, outside and inside lighting, a mosquito net, towels and even lines to hang your wet clothes from the beach!
All in all it was an amazing stay, we would 100% recommend!
Thanks again āļø

We have enjoyed our stay in this accommodation very much. We felt very comfortable the whole time and the room was also clean. Therefore the price-performance ratio was right and the owner Annie was very friendly/nice and helpful. The breakfast was awesome, she cooked for us two times and we were invited to get our with her friends. itās feels like home. So I can really really recommend to stay at Annieās place. Thank you for the great time!

We had a very pleasant stay at Banana Grove. We had only booked one night and ended up staying 3 nights longer, so it was with a little bit of a pinch in our hearts that we had to leave the place. Annie and her little family are very attentive. She is a very good cooker, you will not be disappointed with your breakfast! She even cooked for us at the dinner and was so gooood !!Annie will be available to answer all your questions or needs, you can reach the center of el nido very easily by scooter (rented on site) or tricycle. We felt like we were immersed in a local family! Very kind and lovely family. Thank you so much for this experience. Hope to see you again
Bad data and wifi connection

Annie is nothing short of amazing! If you're skeptical of all the reviews saying she's the best cook in all of Palawan - don't be, it's true! Besides all the amazing food (make sure you try the mango crepe!), she will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need!
Thank you very much for everything Annie, I will surely be back :)

Such a great place! The huts are simple but very cosy, lovely outdoor areas and good location a short drive from El Nido town and Lio beach. The hosts are lovely and Annie's cooking is just the best!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Banana Grove, a place full of Banana trees and perfect to slow down. The helpful and friendly couple Tom and Annie arranged us the island hopping tour (we can recommend Tour C and the tours are a MUST when u are in El Nido). They also recommended nearby beaches. and we could rent the motorbike for 500PHP with them. The breakfast was very good, offering fresh products. You can have dinner at the place but we preferred El Nido town for the evening as you have more restaurant options and it just takes you 15 min with the motorbike. The huts are a bit small but the mosquito net is definitely a plus.
We wish them all the best with their family and their small business!
Wifi was working OK but can be improved. Water pressure of the shower was very low and should be improved as well. A bit noisy during the night (normal filipino noise of the chicken, dogs and motorbikes :)). Located a bit outside of El Nido and accessible via a bumpy road.

Where to start with the legends that are Tom (English) and Annie (Filipino). Itās the perfect combo to make sure all your needs are met - whether you need a drinking buddy, a trip to an undisturbed island (without any other folk), great food (chicken and coconut curry + homemade coconut ice cream gets 5*), or personal delivery of your forgotten phone charger to the bus station without request!
El Nido town has been something of a concrete tourist jungle for some time and will leave you with little sense of the beauty of the island past the usual tours or of the people themselves. This is where Banana Grove excels - straightforward jungle style accommodation in a natural setting in a genuine filipino town. Be prepared for the local children to greet you each and every time you make a journey out! An authentic experience that must not be missed.

We felt really welcome at Banana Grove. Tom and Annie are great hosts. They helped us with everything. And the food there was so delicious! We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Regarding some previous negative reviews I can confirm that there are some dogs around the property but it's not an issue at all. We've been traveling around the Philippines for two months now and it's the same everywhere. And yes, these dogs bark sometimes. Because they are dogs and dogs usually bark like they do elsewhere in the Philippines or in the rest of the world.
I can also confirm that there were a few motorbikes riding during the night, especially during the Friday night when locals are up till late. But again, this is the same all around the Philippines and to be honest, this was one of the quiter places we've been to. The road that goes around the property really leads to nowhere so the traffic there is negligible.
So I would say that we have no reason to complain.
