charming location with a view looking out on the lake.

Location
Greeted with a Trump is still my president sign at check in and the property itself is a shanty town. Rooms from the 1950s and 3rd world bathrooms with sunken ceilings. Really bad place with a lot of maintenance not done and refuse littered about the front. Like something out of Appalachia, definitely not being maintained properly.

Our room looked out at the lake.
No Internet! (The owner actually said only WiFi was guaranteed, not Internet)
Bad pillows and blankets
Overpriced

the location is awesome. close enough to walk to town and you have direct access to the lake.
no air conditioning and the sliding doors to the balcony were stuck plus the screens kept coming off the track. it was hot and some fresh air without bugs coming in would have helped. the balcony also needed a cleaning.

the spa gave my brother and husband rashes all over their back and arms

Beautiful location
The crappy political sign at the front desk

Only the location. Didn't like anything about the lodge. The lake is beautiful.
It was dirty and over price. Everything is super old, with the price we paid we could've stayed somewhere better. Didn't even want to sleep on the bed. The room wasn't ready when we arrived. I was watching the cleaning lady cleaned the room and literally she just wiped things down, vacuum the carpet and made the bed. She didn't even change the sheet on the bed so I threw everything on the floor and sleep on the mattress only. It was really bad!!!

The property was extremely clean and the staff were friendly and efficient and attentive
The staff and atmosphere were excellent

Best part of the room was the balcony facing the lake
The old furniture needs upgrades and spider webs on the ceiling.

Very Homey
9.0 / 10.0
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It was quiet at night. The best part was being able to sit outside our room and have our coffee with the beautiful view of the lake and the stars at night. Staff was very friendly and efficient. It has a great firepit outside of the office that we enjoyed.
Unfortunately, the indoor pool was closed due to covid regulations. Also, we felt price was a little high, but it started over a holiday weekend. They were actually cheaper than other places in town.

Location was very nice with excellent view and peaceful.
I’ve stayed at this property many years ago and I have to say that it has not been updated and is in need of a major facelift! In room coffee pot was a Mr Coffee unit with a Sunbeam pot which made the unit unusable. A little TLC will make this place shine!
5.4 / 10.0
Location and view.
Spa was old needs repair
Toilet always ran had to jiggle handle 309. No shower in 308. 308 Bathroom vent noisy. No paper towels. No tub to wash dishes. Had to use big pot. Needs better outdoor lock not just push button.
No outlet in 308 near toilet, tub and sink for hair straightener etc.
wi fi was too far away.
