Our memorable stay at Lara's

The host, Lara, was brilliant. Very open, friendly and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable. Facilities covered everything we could possibly need. There was the personal touch of a complimentary drink in the fridge. The location was brilliant for the local area and also for going to the other towns on the Lake. I got inspired to partake of my other pastime, photography.

Amazing don't hesitate to book

Wow not one fault with this amazing apartment, amazing host, amazing location don't think we have ever stayed in such a clean place either, thank you so much Lara we will definitely be back soon and have already recommended to all our friends and family!

Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful town

Very comfortable and well maintained studio in a central but quiet position only 5 minutes walk to lakeside. Great place for dogs as there is a dog friendly beach about 20 mins walk away. We had a car so easy to get to other beaches within a 10 minute drive. Varenna is such a beautiful town and we loved it. Lara met us on arrival, she was very friendly and helpful. We had a secure car parking space in a car park that was 2 minute walk away from the accommodation. Will definitely be returning 😊

Just brilliant!

The apartment it brilliant! The location is brilliant! Lara is brilliant! Wish we had more time in Varenna, it is such an amazing place. Lara is extremely helpful and welcoming. Her apartment has everything you need (including a washing machine, very handy when you are running low on clean clothes mid holiday). The view from the living room is incredible! A short walk from the train station or ferry, there are places to get breakfast, lunch and dinner at your door step. Take a quick hike up to the Castello di Vezio and enjoy the full view of where you are in the world.. it’s crazy good! We will be back, thanks again Lara!

Superb

The location was very good, just next to the main square with its small grocery shops and a bakery, together with outdoor cafes and bars. It was about 10 minutes walk from the station and ferry. The apartment had a cute little balcony with nice lake views. There were also lovely lake views from inside the apartment. There was a washing machine in the bathroom and a clothes line (and pegs) attached to the balcony. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped. Varenna is beautiful. Lara is kind and very helpful.

Best apartment in the heart of Varenna

Lara's apartment is right in the heart of Varenna, and host Lara is so lovely. The apartment is in a beautiful old building but so modern inside. It is light and airy and has lots of windows and natural light. There are beautiful views of the lake. It has a gorgeous balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee and our evening wine. The kitchen is very well equipped and very modern. The bed is a sofa bed, but we truly had the best sleeps so far on this trip. We found it very comfy. Do not hesitate to book this gorgeous apartment. You will not be disappointed

Superb

The location was amazing. So close to everything and beautiful lake como view. Very clean and compact. Host was very good.

It was a bit noisy but thats hard to change as location makes up for it. Woukd be good to have microwave. Sofa pull out bed a ittle uncomfortable. Pluses outweigh minuses though.

terrific stay, will definitely return

Lara's Home is absolutely superb, from the communication to meeting Lara everything was perfect. The accommodation is in excellent condition provides absolutely stunning views from the main windows across Lake Como. I really couldn't fault anything at all & will Definity return to stay again

Great time in Varenna. It is a beautiful place!

Location is amazing and the host marvelous.

The sofa bed leaves a lot to be desired. While it was more comfortable than most, a bed would be much better.

Perfect apartment in a beautiful part of the world

the property had everything you could possibly need, it’s so clean, modern and tidy and in the most beautiful location. Lara is friendly, welcoming and always offers her help if needed.

one think we would have liked is a wider selection of channels on the tv, maybe Netflix etc (but that’s not a big factor, as you spend most of your day outdoors)

I would have preferred a proper bed rather than a pull out sofa bed, but its not a deal breaker and my partner had no issue with it

Lara’s home was absolutely perfect - in a great location in Varenna just a short walk away from the main centre, and a 10 min walk to both the ferry terminal and train station so a great base to explore the lake. Air con was great as well which was much needed! The bed is a pull out bed but as others have said it is much comfier than expected which was a pleasant surprise! Lara was also very helpful and communication was great. Would highly recommend.

I would stay there again. It meet all my expectations

This is a great place to stay in Varenna - close enough to the train station, restauarants and stores but far enough from the tourist congestion. It is bright, airy and comfortable. The balconey and the views from the windows are great. We appreciated the kitchen stocked with cookware and enough supplies to allow us to cook quick meals when we did not want to eat out. The bed even though it was a pull out couch in the living room was so comfortable. It was easy to open and close. The absence of a formal bedroom was never an issue.

This is a challenge to answer. We really did not have any issues with the rental. The only thing that would have been nice to have would be an Iron.

Lovely little flat and Lara was so nice and attentive! The flat was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It's right in the centre of Varenna so Lake Como is on your doorstep. Highly recommended!

It is impossible to find a better location in Varenna! Lara is an incomparable host and knows Varenna so well :) The food is magnificent (I had tipico pesce tortoloni) and red beer out of the tap. The apt. is very near an intense 45-minute trail walk up to Castello di Lazio; worth the huffing and puffing. Want a quick ferry ride across Lago di Como to the REAL Bellagio? Lara's Home is a 5 minute walk to the ferry IF you don't stop at one of dozens of Artisan storefronts... Good Luck! Hop on, off and around the many villages for a small fee. We sat in silence and watched the sun sparkle off the water from our balcony, letting the fresh, cool autumn air flow through our room each night. A parking garage is 50 metres away as well. On our way home, we planned our next trip to Como, Varenna and Lara's Home... YOU SHOULD TOO! Grazie mille, Lara... Tim & Amy Black

Wonderful place!

Perfect location, super clean, cosy bed, quiet at night, wonderful view, great value, good atmosphere and very friendly and welcoming owner Lara.

We liked everything and felt very comfortable. Maybe a reading lamp at the bed would have been nice.

The perfect home away from home

Cleanliness of the apartment was perfect! Nice extra touch to include two water bottles + a bottle of sparkling wine. The apartment is equipped with everything you need in the bathroom and kitchen.

Wifi signal was weak and was not stable. Toilet seat was not stable and at times it would slide to the side and would make it uneven.
