SPECIAL WINTER RULES
If there are snow falls of more than 1inch the city will deploy snow plows to plow the streets and street parking becomes illegal during these conditions. You may get a ticket if your car is parked in the street during these conditions. During the winter months, it is advisable to check on weather conditions before you drive up to Big Bear. If it has snowed recently tire chains may be REQUIRED to come up the mountain. The CHP will make you turn around and get tire chains if you don’t have them, so it is best if you have them in your vehicle before you leave your house. Reservations cannot be cancelled due to weather.
In case the city plows the street, every drive way in the city will have a berm from the snow plow. If you have snow on the driveway or pathway to the house or a berm blocking the driveway, you are responsible for removing the snow yourself during your stay. We do not provide snow removal during your stay. We will try to clear the snow prior to your arrival, however in case of stormy winter conditions our snow remover might not start working until after the storm has cleared. In that case you will be responsible to clear your own path onto the drive way and into the house. Snow shovels are provided inside the garage.

Stayed here with our family of six and a friend. Accommodated all of us very well. It was clean, easy check in, large kitchen, and family room. Game room was fun as well. Location is perfect close to grocery stores, restaurants, village. Shuttle bus for snowboarding is literally across the street Highly recommend!

We visited Big Bear as our last summer vacation with friends from Oregon. We all had a blast here. The cabin was super organized and clean. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. The game room was perfect for the kids to stay entertained. The hot tub was also a big hit. Checking in and out was super easy. Markus was very helpful and let us know we can reach out if we needed anything. Would definitely save this to my favorites next time we visit Big Bear!

Wonderful property for a family getaway. The property is exactly as pictured. It is well maintained, great floor plan for enjoying time together and prime location right next to parking for Snow Summit. Markus was very helpful and communicative before our arrival. He was also helpful and quick to respond to our questions during our stay. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed here a three nights, prior to Xmas, with 6 adults & 2 children, 9 and 12.
What a great place! Near all fun Big Bear activities. Lots of space, fireplace, huge comfortable couch to hold everyone while we watched movies at night, lots of games in garage (pool table, ping pong, football, etc.). Highly recommend and will definitely book again!

everything was working and as advertised with the exception that others have noted: no house slippers were provided. We walked around in our socks! enjoyed the game room in the garage with our teen agers. Bring your own slippers!

The house was great. We had an issue with washing machine, however the owner quickly resolved it. Clean, roomy, nicely decorated and well stocked. We always left our shoes off as requested and we were promised slippers, but there weren’t any so we dirtied up our socks. No biggie though. Ice maker is disconnected so you have to buy ice everyday, but the store is very close. Only concern was the spa was very, very cloudy and dirty. I used briefly but got an infection, so that was disappointing. Spa needs a good cleaning and chemicals between renters. I would rent this house again as long as the spa is properly serviced.

Only thing we missed was Netflix’s/PrimeTV.
Other than that, couldn’t ask for anything more. You can’t go wrong renting this cabin.

A group of girlfriends have been coming to Big Bear for 20 years and we've rented this house for the last 10 years. We love the layout, the size of the house and the supplies and small touches. Markus and his family bought the house three years ago and have made a lot of upgrades to make the house even better! We wouldn't rent any other 4 bedroom house unless this one was not available for some reason. Thanks Markus, for letting us stay in your home.
