1 –THE PROPERTY: Villa Magnolia is a Unique Luxurious Villa, perfect for mature groups and families
1.1 – ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN: Is beautiful contemporary architecture was thought and designed to take full advantage of its privileged location with magnificent views to the sea and inland. The South side of the villa is built in glass providing natural light and fantastic views. This Amazing spacious ( 600 m2) and modern clean lines Villa has 3 floors and can easily accommodate up to 16 adults plus 3 babies staying in cots, in its 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and 2 lounge (living- dining rooms), providing privacy and socializing areas to such a high number of guests.
1.2 – INDOORS DETAILS:
1.2.1 - UPPER FLOOR: The impressive domed brick entrance leads to a spacious and exquisite furnished lounge / dining room. This top floor is completed by an impressive fully fitted kitchen exceptionally well equipped w modern Bosh appliances that is a chef dream, including a american fridge freezer with ice making features.Two bedrooms, a bathroom and two large terraces with amazing views, complement the extremely well designed ground floor open space. Entertainment is provided in this area by a huge plasma TV ( satellite TV) and free WI-FI Internet.
1.2.2 – MIDDLE FLOOR: In this floor it is situated the majority of bedrooms. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious large and furnished to a high standard w beautiful wooden flooring and fitted wardrobes. This floor includes 5 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms. Master bedroom has a big dressing room that his the dream of every woman, and a fantastic en-suite bathroom that has: marble countertop with twin hand basins, a shower area and a separate room with toilet and bidet.
1.2.3 – GROUND FLOOR: Consists of a large Living room (open kitchen, lounge and dining area) connecting to the swimming pool by very big sliding doors, a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom. The beautiful open kitchen has microwave, American fridge/freezer, oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, pressed sandwish toaster, iron and ironing board. Entertainment here is provided by satellite TV, music center with: radio, dvd player and cd player, free WIFI Internet, book & movies library, table games, pool table and table football.
1.3 – OUTDOORS DETAILS: Completely walled and fenced property, with electric gates and a very sofisticated asian garden with pond and water cascading. The large heatable swimming pool (optional extra) has great sun exposure from sunrise till sunset. The terrace has loungers for everybody. Brick barbecue and terrace furniture is supplied to enjoy true 'Alfresco' dining. At the evening underwater pool lighting provides a romantic atmosphere.

Whenever we had any questions before we travelled the host answered all our queries promptly. He let us check-in early. He met us at the villa to explain everything. The villa itself was clean and beautiful, good location to the shops and beaches, nice size rooms. If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We are definitely going back. We have recently returned from our holiday in Portugal, where we stayed at this villa.
It’s in an amazing location with great views and the pool is great. Two kitchens and ample room to entertain our 15 strong family members.
That said we were thoroughly disappointed with the tired interior of the property as it bears little resemblance to the images portrayed on the website. Tbe images must have been taken 15 years ago when the Villa was first built.
The furniture is worn, stained, and appears as though it has not been cleaned in years. Many pieces were broken, rendering the space both uncomfortable and unsafe. The kitchen was also a significant disappointment—the crockery and cutlery were dirty and outdated, making cooking and dining an unpleasant experience.
Midway through our stay, the smell from the drains became overwhelming, to the extent that we were unable to sit outside due to its severity.
We communicated our concerns to the owners, who, to their credit, were attentive and addressed issues such as the beds and shower railings.
With a small investment by updating the furniture, beds, tableware and sound system this villa would deserve a 5 star rating.
Overall, the villa does not reflect the high rating it has received and is not value for money. We find the positive reviews to be questionable.

14 of us travelled to Albufeira for my hen do this March 2024. This is one of the best girls holidays we’ve ever been on.
I couldn’t recommend the villa enough.
Paulo allowed us to have an early check in and late check out which was so helpful. He couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating and made the check in process so easy!
The Villa was luxurious, especially for such a reasonable price. It was so spacious and has everything you need.
It’s in a perfect location. There are shops near by and you can get Ubers to and from the new and old town which were around 10 mins away.
We were so surprised at how much of a good atmospheres the bars and restaurants had at this time of year, it was amazing.
Would highly recommend this villa for large groups, it was a perfect holiday. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you again.

Generally a fine place. The furniture a bit rundown, but functional. Good pool, nice size kitchen. A few little things were quickly fixed by the owner. Be prepared to run up and down as the house is on 3 levels.

Had a great stay at Villa Magnolia, Paulo was very accommodating and made the check in/out as easy as possible.
Villa is beautiful and has everything you need, if I’m being picky could be slightly more modernised. Pool table and tv facilities are old and worn but not an issue and still in working order.
Happy with what we paid for and what we got.
Shop is close by and walking distance, Ubers are cheap and it’s 10 mins to new town or old town where all bars, restaurants and shops are.
There’s something for everyone in Albufeira, I’d definitely consider going again!

our family of 14 absolutely loved this villa. we were aged between 7 - 48! so much room for all of us to have our own space and also an amazing shared space together. i cant recommend this villa enough. Paulo the owner was such a lovely man and so helpful. great value for money, thank you Paulo.

We were a group of 11 friends spending a celebratory weekend in Portugal. The villa was so spacious, much bigger than you think from the photos - everyone was very comfortable and it's the perfect setting to relax and spend some time together. The pool was wonderful, we also enjoyed the pool table, outdoor BBQ and foosball table. Location is only around 10mins drive from Albuferia and local taxis are very reasonably priced so it's easy to get around even with larger groups. We would have appreciated a bit more in the way of cleaning products, essentials etc. but there is a SPAR very close by so not a big issue. Fairly priced based on the condition of the property with some slight wear and tear.
Highly recommend for families or large groups looking for a relaxing base to enjoy the local area.

From 1st contact to arriving late on the check in day Paulo was exceptional.As we were arriving over Easter the supermarkets were shut,so Paulo offered to get the shopping there for our arrival.I hadn't remembered to phone when on way from airport, yet he was there waiting as we arrived.Paulo gave a quick tour and let us know where things were and how they worked,and if we needed anything just to let him know.The villa is beautiful, luxurious and has everything you need for a perfect large group stay.The villa is set over 3 floors so climbing stairs is a must,but we more or less only used the ground floor (apart from bedrooms) because it had everything we needed.
The villa is set at the top of a very steep hill,perfect if you are fit and healthy not so if you're not! We used uber daily but it wasn't overly priced.
Would 100% recommend. Enjoy.

With our whole family we stayed in this beautiful and huge villa. We liked the quite area and with our rental cars we could achieve everything. We stayed here with 6 kids and 10 adults. The kids loved the swimming pool!

Our host was great and very helpful. Property was as advertised. Car is helpful if you want to see more than the villa. Plenty of restaurants to chose from Grocery store not far away. Would stay again. Our group was 12 adults and 2 children and were accommodated easily.

Beautiful villa, with everything you could wish for, for a break with a large group. Paulo, the owner was lovely and checking in and out were very straight-forward. We spent lots of time chilling around the lovely pool, but there are gorgeous beaches nearby, and Albufeira old town, Marina and the strip aren’t far away - although it’s a bit out of town, we used Uber to get around (and it might be walkable in cooler months).

Spacious modern villa in quiet neighbourhood
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Magnolia. The home is very spacious with large windows at the back facing the beautiful pool area.
The place was very clean and Paulo was a good communicator. When we identified a problem, he resolved it:
- When the coffee maker did not work, Paulo replaced it.
-When we could not get the WiFi to work, Paulo helpfully showed us where to find the updated login details.
In terms of helpful improvements:
- Some of the furniture on the main floor (lounge) is long in the tooth and should be replaced, or recovered.
- Some of the towels were frayed or had holes. These should be replaced.
- The kitchen should be better equipped with basic items, such as salt and pepper, dish soap, cloths/sponges, paper towels, napkins, more bowls (given the maximum number of guests), garbage bags and hand soap. Given the amount we paid for the week, and given our past experiences staying in other villas and apartments, we expected to have these items provided.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed spending our time at Villa Magnolia in the open concept first floor and backyard pool area.

What a Venue
Venue and location was superb.
Host greeted a small part of the group that arrived early. Checked us in and showed us round the whole property.
Drove us down to the local shops where we were able to stock up on what we needed, and he arranged for the shop owner to take us back (shopping included)
The house was superb, had all the amenities needed, pool was warm enough (we didn't have it heated).
Couldn't recommend the house highly enough. Look forward to returning.

Casa muito grande para 8 pessoas. Muitas escadas para quem tem crianças. Os fechos das portas janelas não funcionam são apenas fechadas com barras de alumínio. Só dá para tomar banho uma casa de banho de cada vez pois a água não tem pressão. A limpeza tb deve ser melhorada

J’ai loué la villa 14 jours pour accueillir ma famille et des amis qui venaient et partaient …
Nous étions entre 9 et 13 personnes. Cette spacieuse villa avec ses 7 chambres et salles de bains a permis la intimité de chacun pour la nuit et le joyeux vie commune dans l’espace living cuisine au rez-de-chaussée et autour de la piscine .La cuisine est très bien équipée ainsi que le barbecue .
Seul critique les tables du jardin côté droit ne sont pas stables et moches. On devrait mettre une belle table comme au côté gauche. Le four: il fonctionne bien mais le tableau avec les fonctions et les températures a disparu avec le temps…
Côté voisinage: nous avons eu de la chance que la moitié du temps nous n’avons pas eu des voisins vacanciers dans la villa collée à la notre…à la fin, il y’avait des jeunes anglais qui aimaient faire la la fête toute la nuit… heureusement ils avaient du goût musical et nous des fenêtres isolantes :)

Large group of adults on training week
The communication from pre booking to during our week here was excellent. The owner was always quick to reply to any questions we had and always very helpful. The checkin process was straightforward with the owner being very flexible. He let us drop our luggage off early and then returned later check us in. He provided a comprehensive folder with all the information we would require about the villa and the surrounding area. The villa itself is beautiful and on three levels. There was plenty of room for our group of 14. The pool was great and we paid the extra for the pool heating which was worthwhile. The location is at the top of a hill but if you don’t have a car then there’s always plenty of Uber’s in the area. The owner has an arrangement with the supermarket that they will bring you back up the hill with your shopping. We would def recommend this villa.

We stayed at the Villa Magnolia for two weeks with a very large family gathering staying. The Villa is very stylish, inside and out, spotlessly clean, and has a wonderful pool. Cristina and Paulo were exceptional in their help and provided us with a full guide to all aspects of the area. The cleaning staff were quick, efficient and very friendly. We stayed at the Villa Magnolia for two weeks with a very large family gathering staying. The Villa is very stylish, inside and out, spotlessly clean, and has a wonderful pool.

A wonderful villa in the south of Portugal.
We stayed in this gorgeous villa for March break. There were 3 adult couples and 4 teens. Every teen had their own bedroom. We had the pool heated and it was perfect for a late afternoon dip, well worth the money. The hosts were very accommodating and full of information for your stay. They also had a binder in English that we would refer to for our next days advetures. We even had oranges off the orange tree each morning. There is a small grocery store down the hill which is a 2 min drive or ten minute walk that suited our needs and great coffee and pastries, a morning ritual. We had a magnificent stay in the villa and we were all sad to leave. Highly recommended Thank you! Beth, and the Canadians xo

New Year 2018/19
We had a fantastic week over New Year at Villa Magnolia. The size of the house, over 3 floors was amazing. All the bedrooms had ample room and bathrooms were of a generous size too.
The dining area and chill out area had enough sofas to accommodate all of my party of 12 in one go. We were spoilt for choice of living rooms there were two, as our party was big enough to warrant the top floor also being available to us. With the chandelier over the dining table we chose to have our New Years day diner “up stairs”.
The pool was fabulous and yes we did swim and we chose not to heat the pool. We sunbathed on the 1st of January even having to use suntan lotion. Enough loungers for all and in a very good standard even this late on in the season.
The BBQ worked a treat and you could not fault the 2 local supermarkets that stocked everything you would need, even half a dozen chickens for a full traditional roast on New Years Day!! and they take the shopping and you back to the villa, one quick call to the taxi and they were there. Easy walk to the supermarket but if you’ve bags take the taxi option back up the hill, it only costs a few Euros.
The pool and table football went down a treat, infact these will be a “must have” on any future holidays my party have.
New Years Eve in Albufuria at the Steps Bar was great and the fireworks and concert on Fishermans beach was fabulous too.
There are a few bars within walking distance of the villa but most were not open due to the time of year but we did find one just along from the SPAR supermarket that showed the football. The SPAR had hot Pasteis de Nata all day!! They were great…even from SPAR. The SPAR and Oceania Supermarkets both had bars that were open too.
The beach was a fair walk but worth it
The taxi service that Paulo recommends was brilliant and extremely good value, from the moment we were met at the airport to our departure home and our various journies in between.
Your money goes along way in Portugal, all in all we had a great time.

A stunning superstar villa
We were 8 adults staying for a week in September. We were amazed when we came to the villa. Everything was just fantastic.. A big perfect kitchen close to the pool and outdoor area.. 7 big bedrooms which are fully equipped with everything you need. Villa Magnólia is just outside albufeira and the old Town, but only 10min away by car. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We are coming back.. And I can recommend villa Magnólia if you want total luxury :)

Villa not as described - certainly not pure luxury
We were a group of 3 families (12 in total - 6 adults and 6 children) and chose Villa Magnolia based on the wonderful pictures and description - which I’m sure at some point in the past truly reflected the villa! Sadly, this villa is no longer reflective of its ‘luxury’ description and the photographs shown do not show the extremely tired and well used condition of the property.
The layout of the villa is good and houses a large group well, however, it is not well maintained and is way over priced for the condition and cleanliness.
The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful with the initial issues we raised, however we made a decision early in our stay to simply enjoy our well earnt and high priced holiday without attempting to fix the multiple complaints we had.
We have advised the owners of all our concerns (including photographs) however there seems to have been little response other than a single line email that they are taking our comments into consideration!
This price of rental for 1 week in August would suggest a fabulous property and indeed the two other properties we have stayed at as a family this summer at the same price point have significantly exceeded the standards offered by Villa Magnolia and more than met our expectations! If it’s luxury you are after then this might not be the villa for you!

Beautiful villa for large groups
Our group of 16 (8 adults and 8 children) recently returned from a 2 week stay at this gorgeous villa. It is a large villa set over 3 floors and we never once felt like we didn’t have enough room. The out door space is good and the pool was a hit for us especially the children, my only slight note for anyone staying with young children there is a slight slope behind the back of the sun beds just to be aware of.
The villa is in a good location with the Old Town and busy strip of Albufeira only a short drive away and taxis were easy to order thanks to the helpful information provided by the owners.
The owners were great, any questions we asked they dealt with promptly and were very friendly and spoke great english.
I would definitely recommend this villa.

Amazing quiet place!
The villa was a beautiful place to stay, we arrived on boxing day and left on the 4th of January. There were some issues with electrics and equipment (mainly caused by our lack of knowledge) but the owners could not have been more helpful even coming out on New Years Day! There are two well equiped kitchens and some great bedrooms, the pool is a good size and the children spent most of the holiday there due to it being heated (for an additional cost). Theres also a BBQ and seating area, a pool table and 2 large TV’s. The owners have even left cards, chess, dominoes, books and dvds for entertainment! There are shutters on all the bedrooms to shut out the light and heating/aircon. We were also provided with towels for bathroom and pool. A massive thank you to the owners who were helpful and informative throughout our stay. One thing to note would be that you would either need a car or be willing to pay 16 Euros for taxis everytime you need a shop or a visit to the old town, numbers for these were provided by the owner and these were easily booked and a friendly service. Would definitely recommend this place and any property owned by them.
