Wonderful spot in the Highlands. Gregor was a fantastic host

What a great place to stay in Inverness! It’s a clean, well appointed, comfortable location, just a ten minute walk to the city center. Our host, Gregor, was very helpful and welcoming. He had lots of tips for things to do and places to eat. This was our first trip to Scotland, and it couldn’t have been better. We highly recommend Clava Cottage!

We had a lovely stay in Inverness! Gregor was a very accommodating host, answered all of our questions quickly and even acted as a tour guide on a couple of occasions. He also hooked us up on the prettiest bike tour we’ve ever been on. Definitely ask about it! Highly recommend.

Clava Cottage was cozy and homey, or homely as they say in the UK. Gregor was an excellent host, communicative and responsive.
The house had everything we needed and was comfortable. The wood burning stove in the living room was especially nice given the unseasonably cool weather during our stay. The location was walkable to city centre and an Aldi, a Tesco, and a Lidl. The cottage was an excellent home base for our highland adventures. We had a lovely stay.

Walking distance to town center, pubs, public transit and more. Clean home with plenty of space, nice beds, fully stocked kitchen and living room. Plenty of heat and space. Surprise breakfast items and coffee were used and enjoyed! The host is above and beyond, salt of the earth, helpful, funny, knowledgeable, active, and a good person. Hes the kind of guy who feels like a family member in a moment! Beyond hosting, as a guide and driver his services are great and very informative, competitive, and tailored to your needs. Such a great host and location, hoping to see him again, beyond recommended to everyone.

The house was in a great location for walking to restaurants and shopping. We did two bus tours and could walk to the pick up points in 12 minutes.
The host - Gregor was very nice. I’d recommend this property.

The biggest charm of Clava Cottage is Gregor. Do not book expecting 5-star finishes or amenities; the house is clean and Gregor left us some food and is very responsive. He also took us e-bike riding in an absolutely gorgeous place, which was such a highlight, and he toured us around the highlands because we did not feel comfortable driving on the other side of the road. He is kind and truly wanted us to have a great time. He delivered our luggage to the train station and made sure we had an easy final day after we checked out. Renting from Gregor is a shortcut to learning about Scotland too. He is quite impassioned about Scottish history. Thanks Gregor. We will remember our time with you fondly.

We had a lovely stay here. Gregor went above and beyond answering all of our questions. His knowledge of the area helped us so much. The location is on a fairly quiet street, just a short walk from the center of town. Grocery store nearby helped us stock up on some essentials in addition to the food Gregor had left for us. This was an excellent location for some day trips. We will absolutely stay again someday!

Lovely property, all necessary amenities, 1 min walk to River Ness, 5 min to city centre. Gregor was extremely helpful with tips of what to do and where to go, advice about the property, etc.

Gregor is an outstanding host.
Our luggage was delayed because our previous flight was delayed.
We were pretty tired from our journey. We are also from Canada, so driving on the left side is new . I wasn’t looking forward to driving to the airport after dark.Gregor went to the airport to pick our luggage up from a later flight. This allowed us to relax and enjoy Inverness without an extra trip out to the airport.

Host was extremely helpful and available if you have questions during your stay. He greets you the day you check in. Very personable. Haven't experience that at a place I've stayed before. Nice touch. Recommend for anyone who wants to stay in Iverness.

Perfect location by the river ness..grocery store was half block away. Gregor was very responsive to all our needs.
We enjoyed having a bathroom and bedroom on main level. Great backyard for enjoying outdoors. Quiet ne8ghborhood, easy parking. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore the highlands!

Outstanding host in Inverness
If you’re thinking of staying in Inverness this is absolutely a perfect spot and host! We arrived at the property extremely late and our host was patient and waiting for our arrival. We had a very difficult experience with luggage however the host helped us obtain necessities and we could not have been more grateful.
We highly recommend the place.

Brilliant stay! An absolute gem found and recommend everyone to stay.
Close to amenities, a quick stroll along the river to the city centre and a wee pub around the corner for a quick pint.
The cottage was in great condition with a surprising amount of space. Huge back garden and Gregor was one of the most helpful hots we have ever had.
If you want some gorgeous places to visit with a short drive from Inverness then Gregor is your man - I’ll be back :)

Lovely cottage, great location
The property is clean and very well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay there. It has good internet connection and Netflix. The cottage is located about 10 -15 minutes away from the centre and bus station. There are lots of restaurants around and a supermarket is just behind the corner. The property owner was very helpful and promptly assisted with our queries.

Location!
This is a perfect location to explore Inverness. Beautiful walk along the River, grocery store 1/2 a block away. Gregor was there to meet us and see us off. I would stay here again.

A literal paradise in lovely Inverness, Scotland.
I can’t speak highly enough about this vacation rental property. Gregor’s flat was absolutely fabulous! Clean, spacious, extra keys, laundry, comfortable beds/pillows and a stellar shower. Gregor even stocked the fridge with eggs, milk, bacon, bread and wine for us! Seriously amazingly thoughtful!
Beyond the fact that we will most certainly be returning to this property again, Gregor made our experience incredibly memorable by taking us on a highland adventure of a lifetime. He went way out of his way to drive us to various parts of town for errands and was so incredibly knowledgeable about Scotland’s history that I actually felt as though he should be running his own epic tours for families! Actually incredible!
If you’re looking for a beautiful experience exploring the area, indulging in the incredibly fresh food right around the corner from the flat, this is your place!
I actually can’t rate this flat highly enough!
Cheers,
Kath. 🎶

Great host and great location
First off, our host Gregor was very welcoming and flexible even though we lost track of time on the way into town and gave short notice that we would be later than expected. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and the layout suited our group of five adults. The location is ideal. Just around the corner is the River Ness and a shaker walk across a bridge gets you to the main shopping and restaurant area. In the other direction, am even shorter walk takes you to a very nice ALDI. We never had trouble parking in the permit area. Inverness and Clava Cottage served as the perfect base for our adventures in the Highlands.

Great cozy cottage in Inverness
We liked the location of this cottage very much. It was professionally cleaned when we arrived and as we checked-in quite late Gregor was kind enough to stiock bread, bacon, eggs, milk and tea for our breakfast the next day, which we highly appreciated.
It's not 5 star accomodation, but it was super clean and convenient and Gregor was extremely helpful with recommemdations. Would certainly stay again if in this very special part of the world.

Scotland at its best!!
Our 25 hour journey time ended with an amazing meeting of our host who had taken the time to provide us with a few provisions for our first night. Traveling with a 2.5 year old is never easy, so to come home to some milk and a place that felt like home is priceless.
Gregor had many recommendations for sights and food. He’s genuine and wants you to feel welcomed and we did!
The property is beautiful. It has a garden and 2 floors to comfortably sleep guests. I was able to even cook a meal easily in the kitchen. It is walking distance to Aldi - a grocery store and a 45 minute drive to Loch Ness. After visiting Inverness then Edinburgh, hands down I’d like to go back to the highlands at Inverness. And I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone who would like this adventure. In fact, I already have :)

great location and host
This is an older building that the owner has kept quite nicely. We were pleased that there were some staples in the fridge to hold my grand children until we could get to the market. Thanks for the place to stay Gregor.

Great little place close to downtown, restaurants and river
Place was clean and well stocked, owner was very responsive and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make sure we had everything. Fresh flowers and some minimum groceries were there for us which after a long day’s journey was appreciated. Downstairs areas were excellent, upstairs areas were adequate. Upstairs Half Bath provided minimum facilities but was adequate (I.e. no mirror etc). Would definately stay here again!

Lovely house, perfect location
The house was lovely, everything we needed. Gregor was a great host and made us feel very welcome when we arrived. It’s a nice looking cottages from the outside, and once inside, The bedrooms were all good size and the whole house was well equipped and nicely furnished. The garden was also lovely to have and sit out in. It’s really conveniently located, an easy stroll into the city centre, but also easy to find from the main roads in and out. We had a great weekend.

Great location - congenial host!
The property fit our needs well. With three bedrooms and one and a half baths, it is a great place for a family or group of friends.
The location is terrific. It is about a half a block from the Ness river and less than a half mile to the city center. There is one good restaurant/pub within a block and an Aldi grocery store less than a quarter of a mile away.
Gregor is a caring host who works hard to ensure the guests' experience is comfortable. He was even kind enough to take my daughter and I to the West coast when we all had a day off. I appreciate very much his kindness to us in ensuring we had a terrific stay.

Everything you need in a central location.
Went us 3 adults. One couple and a friend to go walking. Cottage has everything you need and more. Very central location. Gregor is very friendly and easy to communicate with. The fridge was stocked with essentials which we hadn’t realised he would do. It was very comfortable to relax in the cottage in the evening after a long day out or just be able to walk a short distance to a variety of eating places. Would book again without hesitation.

Lovely cottage, within a 15 minute walk to the beautiful centre of Inverness.
Gregor was a wonderful host. All the essentials were provided. He gave us some very helpful tips on places to visit. We really enjoyed the cozy fire in the evening. The beautiful landscaped backyard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. It is a short walk to shopping and some great pubs.
