About this cottage rental
The character of the property and its views across the river to the city of Inverness are very special. . Ground Floor:
Living/dining room: Freeview Smart TV, Woodburner
Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Washing Machine
Separate Toilet.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Single (3ft) Bed
Bedroom 3: Single (3ft) Bed
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder available locally. . Garden with courtyard and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Stanford House is a heritage property in Inverness right beside the river Ness. Built in 1909, Stanford House oozes character and catches everyone’s eye from the river path. It’s a real treat to stay in one of Inverness’ historic homes. Stanford House enjoys views up river to Inverness Castle, which is only 10 minutes’ walk from the house along a lovely river path. It is in fact striking how close everything in Inverness is to the property. There are fabulous restaurants and cafés only a few minutes’ walk away and there’s a brilliant waterside pub offering great bar meals a stone’s throw from the house. Not only is it an outstanding base for a city break in this charming, historic little city, Stanford House is an excellent option for those wanting to explore the Highlands. Inverness is the Highland Capital and all roads lead in and out of the city. So, from Stanford House you can explore a different part of the Highlands each day of your holiday. The Black Isle one day, Cairngorms the next, Loch Ness to follow and the Isle of Skye for a day. The options are endless, the Highlands are your oyster.
The house itself offers a great standard of accommodation. Entering the property through the historic vestibule there’s a formal living room on the right with views out to the river and city. Towards the back of the house there is a dining room with second living room area, which has a TV and wood burner. The kitchen is right at the back of the house and has access to a courtyard garden. There’s also a convenient downstairs toilet under the stairs. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, a double, a single and a double with single, so Stanford House comfortably sleeps six people. The house will suit a family or friends wanting an excellent base in the Highland capital for a minimum of three nights. It’s an excellent base from which to explore the city, its surrounds and the wider Highlands.
