Nice, quiet place. I never noticed the staff come through, but what they did was amazing; keeping the place tidy and providing us with a great choice of breakfast items to kickstart the day. When I had spare time, I'd sit on the oversized porch swing and plan the next days trip.
A cop secretary lives next door. I think she's chill though

It was very close to the Luray Caverns! It was clean and comfortable! The owner was helpful and the breakfast was delicious.
Nothing! It was awesome

The Hawksbill House is a very nicely decorated old home that is very cozy and comfortable. The property manager lives nearby and was helpful through texts and in house visits to make sure that everything was fine with my stay. Tbere was a nice continental breakfast waiting for me when I got up. I visited in the winter where there are not as many guests but I understand the facility can get quite full during the summer tourist season. I would recommend this Guesthouse as one to consider when visiting luray.

Lovely place.
Lukewarm coffee.

clean and cozy - I fell in love with the porch swing.

The location was good, it was a quiet place and the breakfast was ok. The room is just ok for 2 nights.
The bathroom and the sheets were not as clean as I would expect. That is the only thing you really need to improve.

Great location, close to the Luray caves, brewery, Walmart and gas station. The house has super easy access we had no problems with anything. The room is super clean, with everything we needed. The hot tub is a plus, we took advantage of it at the end of the night to relax. The breakfast is perfect. Anyway, my husband and I were very happy with our stay, and as the house is cute. We will come back and recommend our friends for sure! Thank you very much for making our weekend even more special

Very close to Luray caverns and Shenandoah Park
Not much else in the area, but wish we’d stayed in another town. The bed was hard, room heater caused a bad smelled. The room furnishing were sparse but fit the style of the house, but breakfast was unsafe to eat. One of the most expensive places we staid at during our road trip and the most disappointing. Would have preferred an inexpensive hotel a town over and commuted to the caverns. For comparison, we got a 4-star hotel in downtown Columbus Ohio for only $30 more a few days later and the other b&b we stayed at on our trip was both cheaper and much nicer with a homemade breakfast cooked for us by our host.

The bathroom needs better cleaning, especially around shower.

Very quaint, lovely continental breakfast items, large bedroom and bathroom with all the necessities. Very easy access to house and room. Great communication by management. Perfect location for access all of Luray.

Amazing comfortable bed. I actually looked to see who the mattress company is so I can buy one. Great little breakfast also. Reminded me of sleeping at my grandparents house. Will be back.
My GPS dropped me about 500 ft from inn. I did find it as manager instructed me I just needed to come down street a little further. I had driven 14 hours and was a little tired. It's a great place!!

prívate room and bathroom, non-contact.
small room, dark, insufficient lighting for putting on makeup :-)

The fact animals were not permitted. Animals make filth. The rooms were clean. It was quiet.
Booking.com never sent me the house or room access codes. That is incredibly bad service. If I'd not been able to contact the property management, I'd have been stuck. The bed in the Blue Ridge room has a very soft pillow topper on the mattress. It made the bed so soft it was very uncomfortable; didn't get much sleep.

Lovely feel to the place, lots of character. Close to Luray caverns and Skyline.
Bed a little firm, air con unit was pretty noisy.

Breakfast was great, other than my daughter being vegetarian picked one of the egg bowl choices that was listed as vegetarian, nut clearly had ham or bacon in it (she noticed before she ate it...my son was happy to eat it for her! Rooms were great! Chess board made for a great match between my son and his fiance (my son won...something he probably regrets! LOL)! Thought location wasn't the best, but was rather quiet, and walking path nearby was a great added bonus, so location wasn't bad either! Overall, we had a great stay!
Only thing I can think of was the toilet paper in our room was almost empty when we arrived, and could only find one other roll. Not a big deal as we were only there one night. Also, hot tub need water added to it. Also not a big deal!

Very nice breakfast options, good quality even though purchased rather than made on premises. Lovely house, very clean and all codes worked perfectly. Very nice to have off street parking.
Unfortunately, the couple across the hall cursed, yelled and laughed until 3am. Their TV went on at 5:30 am and then more cursing. Since the house does not have a live in manager/owner, there was nothing to do about it, especially since the voice cursing was male and aggressive. I am only happy they did not get up for breakfast and we left without having to meet them.

great location to Shenandoah National Park. staff always responded in a timely manner with questions, organized, thoughtful for guests and we liked that it was for adults only. it was a continental breakfast but a good one with many options. very clean! plenty of hot water, coffee and tea always available and small refrigerator in room for drinks and snacks.
having a second floor after the most strenuous hike in Shenandoah! lol But this had nothing to do with the owners! lol
