Very nice little inn. The bed was so comfortable. The restaurant was good too.
Nothing:))

Did not get a chance to try the breakfast, but the vintage decor and the layout of the entire property was beautiful
4.1
Proximity to town, large bathtub
The room smelled like body odor when we arrived. There was no breakfast, the restaurant was closed. Our room was next to the mechanical room and something was very noisy in there all night.
4.1
The look , the staff , the location , big room
Expected to have Coffey / tea available at the room .
Air condition was noisy , no Chanel tv for kids .
Would like a buffet morning breakfast
4.1
The atmosphere!
The room was so small and the bed was not comfortable.

Beautiful building and furniture
Pool was not clean

I liked the grounds of the hotel.
The Speakeasy restaurant was good.
We booked a 2 King room through Booking.com, which hotel does not have.
We had a King and a crappy pullout couch. Hotel was booked and available other space would have been a large surcharge.
No shampoo / soap after asking multiple times.

Departed prior to breakfast hours. Location was great.
Received a chilly reception at check in (about 5 pm). Didn't find out that the evening dining was in the lower level until later that evening when the main dining room was still unoccupied. Didn't learn of the facilities available until departing the next day.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a place close to Shenandoah and could not have been more pleased. The front porch was lovely and I really appreciated that hot tub after a day of hiking.
4.1
grand old building
poor atmosphere. Looks tired and needs sprucing up. Not reading full potential.
Breakfasts worst ever.

The location of the hotel is very good, close to many attractions such as Shenandoah NP and Luray Caverns.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and very spacious. We really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the evening.
The breakfast was unfortunately disappointing and as always in the USA in no way comparable to German standards.
The Breakfast.

Lovely small historic hotel. Beautiful accommodations, and nice sunrise sunset view over the mountains. Very Helpful Staff. Delicious breakfast.
4.1
Spacious historic style rooms on the ground floor
I have stayed at the Bavarian numerous times and expected better room decor and much better food

This is a lovely inn close to Luray Caverns, which was our destination. The staff was great, so friendly. Our room was comfortable and clean. We highly recommend. Also the restaurant on the premises was delicious!

This is a nice hotel with a good restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and I had a very good water pressure.
I did not like the window shades do not completely cover the windows. The light came shining in first thing in the morning and I’m not a morning person. The room is also not very big.

I loved how well it is maintained to be a Historically older Hotel.

Very quaint and grand! Nice staff.
Rooms were small and a bit dated but understandable because it is an old hotel. Food was mediocre.
4.1
location was very pretty and clean. the staff was nice and amenable.
the facilities could be updated. the shower head needed to be replaced. the pressure of the water came out in a way that was painful. the mattresses were over soft as if they’ve been around over a decade.

We appreciated breakfast being on the house.
It seemed the breakfast option (quiche) was the only option for breakfast, we would have liked more options.

We went out for breakfast but we did enjoy the coffee and muffins in the lobby!!!!
Room #219 the heater fan was very loud, and the ac units out the window were on and off all night. Wouldn’t recommend this room or others on this side of the building.

The staff was extremely nice and accommodating.
Breakfast can be improved.

no refrigerator or microwave in the room and we had a suite that kind of sucked
