Schön, aber….

Spektakuläre Lage mit phantastischem Blick auf den Ozean, ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse gelegen, sehr schöner, sauberer Pool, viele Handtücher und Geschirr, alles sehr sauber, sehr freundliche Gastgeberin.

Sehr viele Moskitos- leider ohne Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern. -Daher entweder 5 mal die Nacht aufstehen und viele Mücken töten, oder bei geschlossenen Fenstern schlafen(SEHR warm..), oder bei laut laufender Klimaanlage.. keine der Optionen ist wirklich toll! Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen, Spülmaschine klein und nur zum Teil nutzbar durch abgebrochene Halterungen, viele Details sind wackelig und haben ihre beste Zeit hinter sich.Einrichtung sieht auf den Bildern besser aus, als sie ist. Viel Plastik..

perfekter Urlaub

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Alle Zimmer sind toll und geräumig, die Terrasse ist sonnig und vom Pool aus schaut man ans Meer. Es war alles perfekt.

Exceptional stay!

Spotless clean, gorgeous place with wonderful hostess. It is just like the pictures and with weather in the low 20s while we visited we could also use the pool (it is unheated so you need warm days). Zeza put extra touches in place like fresh flowers, fresh fruit, and the basics you need where on hand (oil, vinegar, S&P, sugar, enough TP for the whole stay . . .)

Perfect stay

Location, privacy, cleanliness and facilities. Zeza is a very warm and helpful host, will definitely come back next year! No problem of parking, yes the swimming pool is not heated but trust me you don’t need a heated pool in Madeira. Wonderful marina of Calheta is near, with a nice beach and many good restaurants.

We would’ve liked a bathtub, but whatever the shower is good!

I liked everything. There is really nothing that could be improved. Perfect location, perfect pool, comfy beds, soft towels, beautiful kitchen. Dolce gusto coffee machine. It was 1 week in heaven.

Lovely quiet property with ocean views

Great property in a nice quiet location (having a car is highly recommended) with lovely ocean views. Zeza is a great host who met us on arrival and then left us to enjoy our 2 weeks in privacy. She's only a call/message away if required and she sent us some messages with suggestions of paces to visit and eat at. The house has plenty of kitchen utensils and loads of crockery and cutlery and plenty of towels. There is a fridge in the kitchen and a fridge freezer in the utility room which also has a washing machine. Just about everything in Madeira is built of a hill so there are a couple of sets of stairs to get up to the property from the road.

It’s an experience that will create memories, especially if you’re with the right people.

The location was absolutely amazing, insane view from my room, and it’s just a beautiful island in general.

It takes a bit of practice driving on the hill roads if you’re a new driver. I have nothing negative to say about the property.

A perfect stay in Madeira with one of the nicest hosts we ever had

Zeza's House has all equipment you would think of, including indoor-barbecue oven as many houses in Madeira seem to have. It is located adjacent to Zeza's own house (however, the immediate surroundings are private to the villa). Bedrooms with balcony are on the upper floor, with one big bathroom : perfect for 2x2, and there are extra beds in the room leading to the other bedrooms and bathroom. On the ground floor there is the open kitchen & very spacious living room with a big table allowing even a numerous family to eat inside; there is also a toilet and a laundry/storage room. Direct access to terrace and pool, with sunbeds, huge outdoor table, sofas. Zeza is really great and will do everything you wish to make your stay unforgettable, with very nice attentions like bringing you fruit (bananas, guava, lemon, mandarins...) from her own gardens. A/C everywhere, allowing also to heat (but unlikely that you would need that on Madeira). Within our 2-weeks stay, we had one everything-cleaning done with no extra charge.

All what I state was not an issue for us, but might be good to know for specific needs or reasons : access is through stairs - check with Zeza if this could be an issue for you (she has also an apartment which is easier to access). I would recommend you rent a car : shops, restaurants are not easily reachable by foot (the villa is on the rock above Calheta Beach area). A car is the best solution in my eyes to discover also the surroundings and the whole island, go to a bar or restaurant (we liked Happycars Madeira, interesting prices and cars are in perfect condition). Perhaps depending on seasons : sun in the pool area is in the morning until +- mid-afternoon end of December/beginning of January.

Exceptional

Zeza's house is really exceptional. It looks very nice, is very well equipped and it is very clean and tidy. The swimming pool is quite large (as for the house pool), deep enough for swimming and beautifully located on the verge of the taras. The house is located on the mountainside with fantastic mountain & ocean view. Getting to the nearest marina by car requires driving for 4-5km however there is a nice (yet steep) footpath (~500m) enabling to get to the marina without driving a car.

Heaven.

Lovely personal welcome from Zeza and lots of goodies waiting for us - wine, food, treats for the children, fresh flowers - we were quite overwhelmed! The house is extremely well kitted out and extremely comfortable. There was everything we could possibly need including lots of towels, fresh bedding and every kitchen gadget imaginable. This stay was a real treat for us - thank you Zeza.

Superb

Wonderful views from the property, all amenities of comfort home life and complments of the pretty host. The annona was perfect, thank you Zeza. Our daughter liked the golden room especially.

The plumbing on the first level could be a little bit better. But it wasn't very important when you have such amazing sun.
