Absolutely stunning spacious house and perfect location. Bring some binoculars so you can see the dolphins and whales from the balcony and pool!

Nice, cosy, clean, comfortable minimal terraced with an awesome ocean view. It has a garage, private pool, fully furnished kitchen, 3 bedroom (2 ocean view). Everything what you need, It can be found in the house. Just like home :)
In the middle of the winter (fortunately it means absolutely different than Eastern Europe) there was a little bit "cold" at nighttime for the kids and there was only one electric heater in the hole house so only one room can be heated.

The VIew!! Couldn't be better. We even saw whales from the balcony. Heated pool was perfect. Apartment was also very clean.
Note that you really need to have a car during the staying.

There is a breath-taking view of the ocean from the villa. The size of the rooms, the kitchen, living room was really spacious; this was one of the reasons why we did not go to a small hotel room. We were 5 of us (I have 3 kids) and we had 2 bathrooms plus one more separate WC; more than enough. The house was equipped also with many types of "res consumptibiles"; shampoo, shower gel, dishwasher tablets. There were some spices and some coffee pads in the kitchen (DELTA type/brand).
The villa is at a relatively remote place, however, more tourist attractions are nearby (e.g. the 25 waterfalls levada). We found a grocery shop and at least 3 restaurants nearby as well.
Rental car is essential for the reaching the property. The size of a garage is more than enough for 1 car; I guess it was designed for 2 medium size/small cars. There is a big gate for the yard where the entrances of the houses were, and there is additional gate each of the villas (there are 5 in a row). All gates are controlled by a remote controller; very easy to use.
The pool was also nice; water was warm while the air temperature was just around 20 Celsius.
We also liked the huge terrace and - again - the ocean view.
The lady who handed over the keys was very nice; she gave us all necessary information. She told us she will be available for the whole stay if we have any questions.
When we left early in the morning, we just left the keys in the post box.
The beds. They are way too hard not only for me but also my kids were complaining. Also the pillows were too hard/thick/high. There were more pillows; I would change the half of them for softer ones giving the choice for the guests. With the current setup we could sleep only on our back (not on side, nor on stomach).
Wifi was poor. The signal was OK, but when all of us were using it, the speed went down. I have 3 kids... I took a HDMI cable and wanted to use my IPTV; no chance. Latency for online game was 999+
There were some crawling insects that appeared inside the house and some mosquitos (rural feeling rulez)
The advantage of quiet area is also a disadvantage as we had to drive to a restaurant = 1 person could not drink alcohol.
There was a single dog nearby that started barking around 05:00 local time. It is annoying if it just one such a dog. If the whole village is full with barking dogs is not a problem as they give a kind of constant background noise. Here was just one :(
We were also missing a kind of simplified one page manual for the kitchen machines (for the micro wave oven for sure) as not all were user-friendly. We needed a good 15 minutes to figure out why the coffee machine is not working (the water tank was not properly adjusted by the personnel - argh)
In my opinion the noise isolation between the villas is also poor; footsteps speech, activity in the kitchen could be heard.

The apartment was very comfortable, spacious, light and clean, we had everything we might need. We appreciated the silence and quiet surroundings and the wide view of the ocean. Private sunbathing, swimming pool and the lemon tree with ripe fruits were just great.
The host Elisabete was extremely kind and helpful. She organized a Christmas dinner for us and bought some groceries, as we arrived late on the first day of Christmas. She speaks English and was very responsive.
It was a comfy and good spot to explore Madeira. Living here, the car is a must. Only one pizzeria, poncha bar and very small grocery store is within working distance. If you want to go to the restaurant for dinner (there are plenty of them in Calheta) and have some wine, you should use a taxi. Elisabete would kindly help you with this. Any other places of the island are easy reachable by car because the island is not big and the road infrastructure between main cities is very good.
We would consider returning to this place next time we come to Madeira.
