About this apartment rental

Beautifully restored apartment overlooking beautiful downtown Bardstown, KY. Experience all that Bardstown has to offer with shopping, great food and a vibrant nightlife. Spend a relaxing night in your completely private 1200 sq. ft. apartment above our quaint Soap & Candle Shop (Making Good Scentz). Enjoy a brand new spa-like bathroom and newly designed layout featuring private bedrooms with queen beds as well as a pull out convertible couch that creates a full-size bed. Each room has Televisions with Cable TV. Complimentary wifi is also available. Designated parking in back. Coffee, tea, water and light snacks provided. Living room also includes a work desk for our business travelers.

Just a short walk to many amenities including food, bars, nightlife, drug stores, groceries as well as many local historical and Kentucky Bourbon Trail activities.

The apartment is located on the second floor above our soap and candle shop. Each booking will receive a guest sample pack of items (soaps/lotions/lip balms, sugar scrubs and lotion bars) as part of your nights stay as a complimentary gift. Amenities include: Soap/shampoo, coffee, tea, water and light snacks. Keyless entry alleviates the need to get "checked in".

By far the most welcoming place we stayed at on our vacation to Nashville/Kentucky. I wish we had more than one night in Bardstown but it was a one night cool down coming off the Bourbon Trail. Everything was fantastic. Thank you! If you're a golfer-My Old Kentucky Home Golf Course is Beautiful and in great condition and everyone is super nice.

Centrally located in downtown Bardstown near restaurants, shopping with short drives to nearby distilleries. Host was friendly and communicated well. If we are ever in the area again we will stay here.

This is a great little apartment. We have stayed here twice so far. It in a perfect location for shopping and dining. The place is clean and comfortable. The host is very friendly and helpful. We will always book with him when it’s available and we’re in town.

I had previously stayed there with my husband, so this time I came back with my kids. Clean, quiet and I love the extra touches like the box of soaps and lotions. The beds are comfy and we slept great. Wonderful location.

Very clean, well equipped, spacious modern apartment in a great location downtown. The stairs to the second floor apartment are metal and outdoors although it appears another indoor entrance is being rennovated. Good value and comfortable place to stay.

Great downtown location, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice. Fully equipped kitchen. The gift basket was a nice touch. The only drawback is the stairs, there is no easy way to get into this property. The fire escape stairs in the back are rusty and scary and hard to navigate and the front wooden stairs have no rail. The patio could also use an update. We really did enjoy our stay overall.

Perfect for our stay! Plenty of room, and right in town, walking distance to the tavern, Mammy’s Kitchen and a liquor/tasting store as well as many cute shops. Checked in after an amazing tour at Maker’s Mark Distillery. Would definitely stay again.

We had no idea what Bardstown was, only that it was a central town in between the distilleries we planned to visit. The town is adorable and this apartment is right in the heart of it all. Very clean and well appointed. Enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying again.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the heart of Bardstown. Conveniently located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a brewery. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It was very nice to have a washer and dryer so we could do our laundry prior to returning home. We would definitely stay here again.

Cutest little apartment above the cutest soap and candle shop! Owner was a lovely host, gifting us with goodies from their soap and candle store. Apartment is in the heart of downtown Bardstown, with walkable access to everything. HIGHLY recommend!

Weekend getaway for bourbon tasting and Churchill Downs. We loved getting back to the property and being steps away from dining and bar options. We started as a party of two but another couple we were traveling with had a reservation at a different property that canceled on them and we were easily able to have them stay with us in this apartment. Apartment was roomy for four of us. We’ll look this place up first the next time we stay in Bardstown!

The apartment was very clean and well stocked with all of the needed necessities for our visit. Owner always responded quickly for any questions we had during the booking process and visit. Bardstown was very convenient for distillery visits, restaurants and shops. Great breakfast place beneath the apartment. Short drive to our final destination in downtown Louisville for the Derby. Highly recommend this property for an enjoyable stay in Bardstown.

This is such a great property. Stayed after hitting the races at Keeneland. Great location, walkable to so much and very short drive to numerous distilleries. The space was beautiful and the hosts go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. No question this will be my go to staying in Bardstown!

We love our bourbon trail home base to be in bardstown. Steves unit is in the perfect spot right downtown. Very clean and has all you need for your stay. He even leaves a sample box of special soaps and scents from his store in bardstown. Easy walking distance to all of the restaurants and bars.

Accommodations were as described and had everything needed for a long weekend trip. The location is in the heart of town and central to all the restaurants and shops but is still very quiet. It is a perfect home base if you’re planning to visit the local distilleries. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
