About this house rental
The SASSY Studio is centrally located a block from Texas A&M. Walking distance to various eateries such as Chili’s, Torchys Taco, Laynes Chicken Fingers to name a few. A couple blocks away is Thomas Park which is nice shaded with a jogging trail, tennis and basketball courts, public pool open in the summer and swings.
The sassy cottage sits behind the main home on the property. Until some time in October, there will be no shared areas on the property. Once the main home is renovated it will be operating as vacay rental as well and can be reserved separately or jointly with the cottage. Once this takes place, the only shared areas between the two will be the back yard, covered area to play ping pong between the two houses and the laundry room. Cottage and the main house have it’s own separate patios. Permit# STR2020-000052

The place was so cute! Backyard was ama big for little Aussies. Great location! Will stay again.

This quaint cottage is perfect for one or two guests. It states you can have three but I believe anyone older than 12 would be pushing the comfort zone. It was clean and the air conditioner was very cool. The host was gracious to accommodate me when I had a technical issue with my reservation. I really appreciated it because technically they did not have to change it. Wonderful customer service. I will be back.

It was overall pretty wonderful!

We stayed here when moving our son. Location is great and the home itself is absolutely adorable. However if the main house had been rented it would have been awkward staying in the cottage. Also, note VRBO has the wrong door code they end you. Owner states she has tried to correct. So make sure to reach out to her to prevent any hiccups checking in.

Had a small speed bump at the beginning of our stay but I'd have to say the owner/property manager fixed the issue instantly! The customer service was absolutely amazing!!
Great location!

This adorable place was clean, well stocked, communication and expectations were clear and easy to follow. Page was very nice, made sure we had everything we needed. Check in/ out was a breeze. The property was exactly as it showed online. We will definitely book it again if we are in the area!

Our stay was great! It was clean and perfect for a short stay. Good, quiet location.

Check in was easy, the house is very clean, cute space, and was perfect for the time I was there.
I liked having a little kitchen so I could work remotely while waiting for my son to finish up at soccer camp.
My only concern was security. I’m not sure how often the keypad door code is updated so I was nervous that the keypad lock is the only way to lock the front door. The owner also entered while I was out for the day without any advanced notice which concerned me. Traveling as a lone female, I’m extra cautious so I probably would not stay here again unless I was with my husband.
This is the only reason for the rating. Otherwise the property itself and its location is 5 stars!

This was the cutest little cottage! My husband and I stayed here while visiting our daughter. It was so homey I didn’t want to leave! The beds were comfortable too. It rained and we just loved listening to the rain. We will definitely stay here again! Our daughter mentioned it would be the perfect place for her ring dunk! Cute yard for a ring dunk!

The cottage was terrific. The access code I was given was wrong and because the host didn’t respond to my messages, I couldn’t check in until 9pm. Very disappointing

We were at A&M for a short conference, and this was perfect for the 3 of us colleagues/friends. Nice little kitchen and lovely living/bedroom area (studio). The neighbors were obnoxious one night, but that was rectified. Highly recommend!

When I arrived I was very pleased that the host had allowed me to check in early. However, the check-in instructions had the wrong code for the lock-box. Additionally, nowhere in the listing does this state that it is in a backyard with the main house also being rented. You have to go through an unstable path to get to the spot. The thing that was my biggest concern was the people occupying the main house were extremely loud from midnight until 2 AM and when I contacted the host they never got back to me. Not even the next day. Extremely disappointed with the lack of empathy and communication. Do not recommend staying here due to unresponsive host.

My daughter and I stayed the weekend in this sweet house. We brought her doodle and the yard was a perfect place for her to run around! Great neighborhood and close to A&M and all the shopping and food!

This was a great place to stay for an overnight while we were visiting Santa's Wonderland. With 2 teenagers, the ping pong table and horseshoe pits were a big hit! The space had everything we needed and was cute. The backyard is very big and there are several outdoor spaces to sit and play games or have a coffee.

The guest house was fine for my husband and I. The property manager was attentive and responded quickly when we needed something. The only not-so-great things were the house smelled like weed and the towels/hand towels were stained. Overall a cute place though.

Good location for access to campus. The Studio had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be to get a better mattress for the hideaway bed. Overall good stay.

The cottage off the main house was a perfect getaway for me and my wife. The house was clean and well put together. I would be hard pressed to find something to complain about. Me being a larger man the shower was a little tight but that's really all I could fuss about. I would highly recommend staying here. Everything was within 10 minutes of the place. Loved our stay!

Exceeded Expectations
I needed a place to sleep and make meals, nothing fancy, and the price was attractive so I went with it. I was pleasantly surprised overall! The location was perfect, quiet neighborhood just a couple blocks off Texas A&M campus, with short drives to grocery, many restaurants, Bush Presidential Library & Museum. Direct communication with owner was quick and efficient. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, furnishings "mature" but everything felt and smelled clean and fresh. The only possible consideration is the size. Counter space is limited and there's no table for eating... but if you aren't making Thanksgiving dinner and you don't mind eating from a TV tray those aren't issues. For one person it's perfect; two people might feel a little tight, but manageable. I would absolutely stay here again.

Late night guest
The accommodations on the property were just as expected. The room was perfect for our weekend stay. The only complaint I have is with security of the facility. Apparently the owner had not changed the code on the locks between visitors. Around 5:00 in the morning the lock on the keypad was activated and what appeared to be a colleges aged individual walked into our room while were asleep. When confronted the individual said that “he thought he had rented the room for the weekend”. Being that this occurred in the early hours of the morning it was a someone tense moment that almost escalated into a bad situation very quickly. Anyone staying here should take extra precautions to make sure that the room is secured not only while you are away but apparently also while you are inside. I would also recommend the owner consider making some serious upgrades to the security before someone gets hurt and there is a serious liability issue.

A perfect spot
The space was small but well laid out. The kitchen was well stocked which was great as I had to bake a cake for a wedding there. Will definitely be returning next time I visit.

Cozy Stay
This was a good getaway. We were just under the impression that no one would be staying in the house which required some extra dogsitting.

It is a cozy place to stay. However, I'm not sure that the bathroom had been cleaned since the last person staying there. The first wash cloth I used, I threw on the floor so it wouldn't get accidentally used again. It had brown stuff smeared on it & mildew or some black stuff stuck to it's edge. The bathroom floor was covered with long, black hair & a wad of black hair fell out of the first towel I grabbed. The mattress is very lop-sided. The side away from the wall has definitely been "broken in". The backyard is super.

Cozy Boho Cottage
Very small space, but nicely done despite square footage. Nice backyard, thought shared with the main house. We had to park on the street due to multiple cars on both side of the drive. The window unit is noisy and the ceiling fan has a rhythmic sound, but we enjoyed having our family (pup included) cozied up for the one night stay!
