AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

Smoking is prohibited in all of our vacation rental homes.
Dogs (up to 2) are welcome in this home. Guests are required to clean up after their pets to avoid additional charges.
Parking for multiple vehicles at the home, but only two (2) vehicles are allowed inside the gated portion of Riverbend at Lake Lure.
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. local time or anytime later.
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. local time or anytime earlier.

NOTICE: CANOE is temporarily stored at the cabin instead of being next to the lake. The community has required us to move them to the homes until they have built a new location for storage down by the lake.

Note: Cancellation policies may vary on various marketing sites, but it is ALWAYS most affordable to book directly with us at Carolina Properties. Booking direct also enables a guest loyalty discount, available across our many properties upon your second stay.

Let me begin by saying this property is in a fantastic location. That's the good news. The bad news is that the material condition of the property is poor. Some interior issues included but were not limited to: - The ceiling/wall on one side of the A-Frame had stains from previous leakage. - Loose plumbing fixtures - Electrical outlets that do not have power (according the the property management company, "the whole first floor needs to be rewired"). - The fans in some of the bathrooms were very noisy. - The knobs on some kitchen cabinets were falling off. - One kitchen drawer completely fell apart (it was missing screws). - The entire house desperately needs to be repainted. - The carpeting and flooring needs to be replaced. - The furniture is old and worn. Some exterior issues include but are not limited: - Rotting trim work. - Roofing sections that are sinking inward. - Deck structure and decking boards that need to be replaced. - The lack of proper exterior lighting. - Missing rails. - Temporary jacking posts and bracing that needs to be replaced with permanent structure. With some investment, this property could be a vacation treasure, that brought in a lot more rental income. I hope this interview prompts the investor/owner to fix the place up.

upon arrival many things we not right with our property and after a 12 hour ride, was feeling discouraged that we hadn’t choose the right house for our family vacation. As the night and the week progressed just more things were added to the list that’s not right. First being the pictures of the house? They are not up to date. The garage that they have in the pictures as we got there, it wasn’t usable and looks like it’s been that way for 20 years. and it was one of the big reasons why we chose this house for our motorcycles to store. There were more electric outlets in the home that DIDNT work then DID. I love that we were right on the river but the trees were so overgrown on the one deck that it made the deck so slick and unusable our stay. Also there had been an entrance into the river looked like it had been washed out and instead of fixing it had things to block it. (It also doesn’t look like it just happened. Plus many more issues. I did reach out to the property management and gave them the long list, they did give us a small compensation for the issues. But honestly if they had someone ACTUALLY Taking care of the property (this is out of a cleaners depth) they wouldn’t have too. this house would be beautiful! We stay in many rentals and we know outdated and can accept that but this isn’t outdated this is a property that is just completely neglected from the inside out and needs some major maintenance.

We were so excited for this trip and were disappointed immediately. The house was not ready in time and when we did get into the house, it was not cleaned properly. The doors and light switches were covered in dirt, several sheets were noticeably dirty. There were several wet spots on the carpet, one of the bathrooms was unusable because the bathmat smelled so bad of cat The entire room smell smelled. Towels were also dirty. Had a glob of toothpaste with a hair in it. We were not left with any essentials except for an empty bottle of dish soap and one unwrapped soap. The property management came over and took pictures of some things and assured me we would at the very least be getting a refund of our cleaning deposit. To date, we have not received any refund and correspondence has gone unanswered. The setting is beautiful and we had such high hopes for our stay.
