La Torre holiday house near Mottola in Puglia was a great place to stay. It was a lovely old house, set in large peaceful grounds, with a great swimming pool.
The house was spacious and well-equipped and each room was provided with good quality fans to ensure more comfortable sleep in the summer heat.
The town of Mottola was just a short 5-minute car ride away and had easy access to supermarkets, traditional shops, restaurants and pizzerias.
The host was responsive to communication through messaging on Vrbo, and the care-taker, Pepino, was quickly on hand to help with any problems or questions. Pepino was very friendly and made us feel most welcome at La Torre.
We definitely want to return next year!

What a sensatonal place, the pictures didn't do it justice. My family and I as well as extended family loved the house, swimming pool and grounds.
Thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home.

A really lovely rustic Italian villa in a great location for visiting surrounding area. The dogs loved the extensive gardens. We had a fantastic stay.
However, this is an old villa; it needs some attention. Particularly the showers and the cooker. We got used to the noise from the busy road being there for so long.

the house is lovely: lots of character, nice big kitchen and lots of bedrooms. Also the outdoor facilities are charming : big pool and beautiful garden. But the house is situated near a very busy SS-road, day and night traffic noise. The occupants of the bedrooms in the "tower"definitely needed earplugs to sleep....
Still we had a wonderful week, Mottola is a charming city with good and affordable restaurants.

A really charming, family friendly home offering both indoor and outdoor comfort! The home was really well equipped to meet all our needs. The pool and shaded outdoor areas were the highlight for our family (the sunshine helped of course). Our family of 7 were very comfortable in this lovely home. The caretaker, Pepino was a gentleman and most helpful. We made day trips to Matera, Noci, Alberobello and our location was perfect for this. We would recommend highly.

We spent one of the best holidays in our lives in this house. A house with history and a unique atmosphere, a large swimming pool and an even larger garden. Close to the surrounding towns (Taranto, Martina Franca, Alberobello). The lack of wine glasses, salt and pepper and dishwasher tablets could be a bit of a problem. The water in the pool is clean, but probably contains too many chemicals (goggles are recommended). You can hear the traffic, but it does not disturb your rest.

This is a large restful property in a lovely peaceful setting with a great pool, deep enough for diving at one end. It is close to Mottola which has supermarkets, as tourist information office and some excellent eateries. ( Try the Pizzaria in the town centre. It's excellent). We had a very restful family time at this traditional villa. Peppino, the caretaker was an absolute star, and always very helpful and clear, despite having to communicate with us via a translator app. The many rooms are well prepared by Dominica, the housekeeper, and we really enjoyed her home made cheeses too. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and bedding, and the villa's kitchen is well equipped. Both she and Peppino were there to greet us and very welcoming.
The only drawbacks were that the place is somewhat tired , and would benefit from attention to the quirky electrics. Also the water is lovely and hot in the showers, but in some the water pressure is pretty weak. When you first arrive it's a little difficult to find the back entrance, which you have to drive into to reach the property. Tip: It's very soon after the first 'road hump' sign on the road from Mottola to Noci, just after the white gates of another property. By the way, currently the cot is not available (Sept 2022), so take a travel cot if you have an infant.
The nearby beaches are fantastic, the little 'white' trulli towns most picturesque, and the pine forests great for a shady stroll. The Grottes at Castelaneta are well worth a visit too. We very much enjoyed our week at La Torre.

A great location to explore the region. Wonderful winery tour, beach visits, and seeing Matera and Ostuni. We got a taxi from Bari to mottola and used La dolce vita Noleggio Auto for our car hire. They were so helpful, even showed us the way to La Torre, and recommended local restaurants and a gelateria, both worth the visit. La Torre could do with a little TLC. The house, gardens and pool are all brilliant, but the beds are not the most comfortable and the fans in the upstairs bedrooms are very clunky and noisy. I did, however, live the rustic feel to the place, and Pepino deserves a mention for his efforts in getting us into the property and sorting out a problem that arose with the wifi

Traumhaftes Anwesen

Amazing pool
A family holiday for 10 in a fantastic villa.
Very spacious with great facilities and furnishings. Absolutely amazing pool which we spent loads of time in.Table tennis table was also well used. Very attentive and helpful owner who responded almost instantly to our messages. Mottola itself is a beautiful unspoilt small hillside town with a weekly market. Overall a memorable holiday in a fabulous location

Perfect for our needs.
Christina’s family villa was perfect for our family get-together in Puglia. The home is exceedingly spacious and the grounds are splendid. Cristina kept the beautiful pool open into November for us. The men in our group took some invigorating morning swims although November is a bit late for warm water temperatures in the pool. From “La Torre” we took day trips to explore Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, Taranto, Metaponto, and Matera. We also enjoyed several winery visits. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the regional wines we tasted. Although Cristina was not on hand to welcome us to her estate, she had her rental agent, Dominica and her caretaker, Peppino, on hand to greet us. If you do not speak Italian, be prepared to spend some time using translation apps to communicate during the check in

We have had the most incredible two weeks in Puglia, staying at this fantastic property. Le Torre is a beautiful old property with so much space for the 8 of us. The rooms are well appointed and the pool and outdoor area are incredible. The pool is the largest we have ever had the fortune to use in a holiday home. The children loved exploring the gardens, relaxing on hammocks and play area. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and continued to be visited by Peppino ensuring our comfort and needs were met throughout our stay. Close to Mottola, it is a 30 minute walk into town or 10 minutes in a car. The house is also well located to explore this lovely region of Italy. I cannot recommend this property enough, we are sorry to leave and hope that in the future we can visit again.Thank you

Superb Area
Good pool. Cherry tree and alfresco areas. Interesting house with history. I am 6ft 1 and their are low beams and doorways. We had to buy wine glasses. Gives you a feeling of the Southern Italy life style. Some good restaurants in Matolla and around. Have the Antipasti

Comfortable and interesting
Our extended family (12 people, 3 generations) spent the month of July 2016 at La Torre and enjoyed it very much. The rooms are well furnished and all the utilities worked without trouble. The villa is located in a rural setting, but there are a number of interesting places and beaches within 40 minutes driving. The swimming pool is lovely, and Peppino the caretaker was very helpful. He came to our rescue when the kitchen sink blocked up. We would happily return to this villa for another holiday n the future.

Geweldige vakantie in Mottola

To relax and spend quality time w frieds / family
This villa is truly a place to relax and spend quality time with relatives and friends. I spent there 3 of the most fascinating vacations weeks I've had. The house has this feeling of "Castle" with its well in the living room, and its thick stone walls. There is a pool with a springboard, fields to ride a bicycles, the town of Mottola a few miles down the road and great neighbors to play cards and share dinner with.
Highly recommended for family or friend vacations.

Beautiful Villa and garden!!
The Villa was beautiful! My family, friends, and I never wanted to leave the pool area, the kids would just play for hours over there. We would just have lunch and dinner outside under the marvelous tree. Relaxing on a hammock over the pinetum was one of the best times I have had in a long time, I could just read for hours over there. The house is beautiful, full of history. The road behind the house is a bit noisy. The town of Mottola has a nice historic center but no more than that, a good place to get your supplies and maybe visit the sunday market (they sell everything you will ever need). Peppino was a wonderful help!!

Koelkast was beschimmeld!

Very very beautiful house!!!! Recomanded
