Sunset Lake is a beautiful place to stay! My husband and I rented this house to enjoy the lake with our family. 100% the lake did not disappoint. Great fishing, quiet little lake. As you read in the reviews, and I had as well, most guests have stated the house does need some repairs/updating. This is absolutely the case. The house was very clean upon arriving but it is definitely showing wear. As the owner stated, the doors stick, but they are a bit challenging. The couches are not in the best shape, and the yard could use some attention. The night we arrived, it was a typical New England summer night, warm and sticky. By the time we got settled and went to take showers, we discovered there was no water pressure, and soon to follow, no water. I reached out to the owner right away. He was quick to respond and did offer to have a plumber out, but it was going to be close to midnight by the time he would arrive. We asked if he could come fist thing in the morning, it was late and we were tired. He replied quickly yes and the plumber did arrive early the next morning. We were able to have a temporary fix, which allowed us water, albeit brown, and toilets to flush, until the following day, when the plumbing crew came back to install a new pressure pump. The remainder of our week was very enjoyable. Not great communication from the owner the remainder of the week and we were never offered and type of partial refund for the night of our inconvenience.

First time staying here! And for us it was perfect!! Plenty of room, able to walk into lake with sandy beach, great location. Just left this morning and booked for next year.

Sunset Lake is the perfect location for lake novices. Very little boat traffic meant I was comfortable allowing my 12yo and 14yo to go off on their own to kayak and paddle board.
The fishing was great, the water was clean and refreshing, and the property a dream- a true camp that welcomes sandy feet! This was our second time renting and while some reviews will mention updates needed that's exactly why we love Camp Fritz.

The property is exactly as described. It is well equipped with everything you would need for your stay and as other reviewers mentioned there are a few things in need of repair but the house, lake and location to nearby attractions far out way these things. We really enjoyed are stay at Camp Fritz.

Sunset Lake is beautiful, very clean, sandy rocky bottom.
Fishing was great, even with temps in the 90's. Great location, 90 minutes from Boston.
House and grounds need some TLC, but nothing that impacted our 2 week stay.

The location was great. Right on the lake. Some of the house needs some upkeep as we couldnt use the swim out dock because the ladder was loose. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

A lovely setting with ample space inside and out for family activities. An easy drive to venues around Lake Winnipesaukee and Mt. Major.

Perfect location, full amenities, could use an update. But the value of the house and location, staying at such a perfect place more than makes up for anything the house Lacks

I rented this for my family ...so we could reconnect after the pandemic last summer. This house and location was the perfect place for that. The lake is so beautiful. The house was the perfect size and so clean and homey. Everybody fell in love with the lake and house. I would definately rent here again.

Property is in an ideal location and the lake is beautiful. However the property is not well maintained. All doors had issues, carpet was ripped in certain areas, strange smell in carpet, sheets had holes, etc. We still had a great vacation with the private beach, kayaks, etc. Just pointing out the maintenance issues for awareness.

Our family had a great time at the lake. The house is well equipped with plenty of room for everyone. This home sits on a lovely little sandy beach with a dock for fishing or just jumping into the lake. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a bit of lake life. Thank you, Chris for sharing your home with us.
