The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.
There are bicycles for rent, as well, nearby. Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 miles north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! You will want to return year after year!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
EV Charging: There is a fee of $5 per day if you will be charging an electric vehicle at the home.

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Great proximity to public beach access and loved the quiet neighborhood. Wonderful ocean views and excellent private pool in the backyard. Would stay here again.

This was a tremendous last-minute find for our family. It was a four-minute walk to the beach. Two minutes to drive to the beach. It has plenty of room. The host kept in touch and answered all questions timely. The pool is well-kept, and we loved the privacy of the backyard pool area.
We will definitely be back and rent this location again.

The upstairs/downstairs layout was great for our “two household” family of 12. The property was everything we hoped that it wud be. The pool is wonderful! We had a great time.

Plenty of sleeping options. Nice to have two kitchens, especially two refrigerators. Two accesses to the beach, just a short walk, but a little challenging for pulling a wagon. Great beach.

Good communication. Wonderful location, short walk to beach access. Loved the pool!

Property was fantastic and great location. Very clean and well appointed. Just one street down from drivable beach access and just a short ride into town. Would certainly stay at this location again when visiting this area!

Great week in St. Augustine! Just a short walk to the beach, lots of room for the family. Great place to spend some family time!

This was a phenomenal house with a ton of room. The house has 5 twin beds and 4 king size beds. There was only 4 of us so it was a little big for us. It would be perfect for a large family or group of adults. You can see the beach dunes and ocean from front porch and windows. Very short walk to beach and we live this beach which is never very busy. Will rent again for sure.

Spacious property on the beach. Just far enough from the action to be quiet and close enough to be convenient. The house had everything needed for a week on the coast. It was only a 10-15 minute drive to St Augustine and even closer to grocery stores and restaurants. Plenty of showers and seating and a large pool just like the pictures. Most of the home is updated and it is quite clean. Would recommend to my family and friends for a nice trip to the coast.

Five ladies vacationing to celebrate a big birthday. Close to the beach, backyard was a great place to relax (we chose not to use pool / spa in Feb., but lovely to sit there.) This would be a great place for extended family to get together. The listing is very accurate. Very reasonable drive to heart of St Augustine. Thank you to our hosts!

We loved being able to sit on the deck and see the ocean while having our morning coffee. The beach access was a half block away, so we walked the beach every day. The hot tub was so nice to relax in at the end of the day, too. The kitchen was well stocked. While we didn't need it, the second kitchen downstairs would be great for preparing meals for larger families. There's a lot of sleeping space for the whole family.

Plenty of room for us all. Close enough for a stroll on beach. Enough away from the huge crowds downtown but close enough for getting to all we wanted to do. Nicely appointed kitchen(s) and teo Sets of washers helped keep the towels supplied for all to shower etc.
pool area relaxing. Porches supplied great sunrises
Things of note. Because it was winter the pool heater could not compete with cool nights. Stick with just the hot tub in winter.
Would be a great house for two families sharing as there are upstairs and downstairs Living areas kitchens laundry etc. downstairs laundry in the big bedroom with three one king and two queen beds ( in a closet)
Property manger was very responsive and we had a great time.

House was beautifully decorated and just as described. The house was bigger than the two of us needed but being close to the beach and the price was our top priorities. Very quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. The owners were extremely nice and check in & out process was very simply.

The air conditioning wasn’t working upstairs when we got there. I notified the property manager and he showed up to the house wearing a shirt that said “I’m here because you broke something”… The issue did not get resolved but after a second trip to the house that night with an HVAC tech, I was informed that the needed part would be picked up in the morning and someone would be at the house to fix it at 10am. Someone showed up at 10am without a part and proceeded to inform me that he had never been to the house before and didn’t even know where the unit was that he needed to inspect. I was then informed that the motor he needed was not easy to find and it was possible he would not be able to fix the AC during our stay. Three interruptions to our 3 day vacation in the first 18 hours and still no AC. Thankfully it was January, if it had been a warmer month I would have refused to stay there. I didn’t even bother mentioning the fact that the hot tub never got warmer than room temperature, thankfully we didn’t pay extra to heat the pool. Luckily we didn’t have 4 vehicles; posting said 4 spots but one was filled with yard clean-up/debris.
The neighborhood was great; quiet, light traffic, and convenient to the beach. A lot of work had been done to the house and the set up was great for a trip with a large family. If the air had been fixed and the hot tub had worked I would give 5 stars and probably stay there again.

We loved the location of this home, quiet neighborhood and beach. The Grandkids loved seeing the tortoises moving around.
The set up is perfect for a large family, it’s a duplex with inside stairs. We had 2 kitchens and laundry rooms, the lower lever had a exterior pool fence outside the slider so if you have little ones you don t have to worry about them getting out the slider to the pool, that made this grandma extremely happy! We will definitely be back !!

We stayed for fall break and everything was as described in the listing. The place was clean, spacious, and more than enough to meet our needs. I especially appreciated the extra cooking amenities. It had everything that we could possibly need. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

This is a clean and well-kept house one block from the ocean. The photos are accurate and not doctored. What you see is what you get and that is a good thing. We would stay again!

Absolutely! I had an absolutely amazing stay at this St. Augustine Beach house! The host was incredibly attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our large family had a fantastic time. The location was perfect, just steps from the beach, and the property was clean and well-maintained. What's more, it had everything we needed for cooking, making meal prep a breeze. And I can't forget to mention the beautiful pool – it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot. Five stars all the way!

The check in process was simply. The host was easy to get in touch with. The property was beautiful, clean and very family friendly! It’s super close to the beach plus the private pool and spa put it over the top. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back in the future!

Myself and seven of my closest girlfriends stayed here for a long weekend and had an amazing time! The pool was definitely our favorite part and we spent most of our time there. We didn’t get the pool heated and it was PERFECT for mid September the way it was. The beach was super close and really nice as well. It didn’t take long to get to downtown St. Augustine…maybe 25 minutes, so that was good for all the outings. The only thing I would say is that the house could use a few more hand towels but at least the owner warns you up front to bring extra, but we just brought extra beach towels and not hand. If you don’t want to use all the paper towels, remember extra hand towels too. All in all the property was excellent, the owners were responsive, and I would definitely recommend!

This was the perfect family spot for our stay near St. Augustine. The owner was great with communication and we had zero complaints. It was super easy to access A1A and go into town with the convenience of easy beach access right across the street. We will definitely consider staying here again if we plan a return trip to the area.

Very comfortable setting/ furnishings for our family group of 10 for a week.
Spacious room sizes , comfortable beds, dual laundry facilities and a very nice pool.
An outdoor shower that was used daily by all after returning from the beach.
Wonderful upstairs front porch balcony to view sunrises and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset.
10 minutes from nearest Public grocery.
Strongly recommend dinner at The Sunset Grille...421 A1A Beach Blvd in St. Augustine

We stayed here for family vacation 6-29-2023 through 7-5-2023 with 6 adults and 4 small children (5, 4, 4, and 1). We do this every summer, and we usually go to PCB or Siesta Key. This year, we decided to go to St. Augustine instead because of the reports of red tide in the gulf. The consensus from our family: "BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER." The house was perfect. Clean and spacious. Easily and comfortably accommodated our picky group. (We are hard to please.) The pool is awesome--the kids loved it, and it gave an easy alternative to the beach. The beach was also very easy to get to by either walking by public access on the wooden walkway, or by parking on the beach with our trucks. Driving to and parking on the beach is a game changer: With all of these little kids, and with my mom who needs to be out of the sun, we have lots of things to tote to and from the beach, including multiple canopies and chairs. Being able to drive and park on the beach made this a cinch. I think this will become the "Gold Standard" for our vacations in the future. (It will be hard to convince my brother to do it any other way now!) The beach was beautiful and the water was perfect. Most of the time we were on the beach it was low tide, and the beach was big with small pools of water all around, which was perfect for the little kids we have. Lifeguards and beach patrol provided a sense of security. Beach was not packed. Lots of room. Neighborhood was great. Highly recommend!

Booked a great home in St Augustine Fl. Great location on Bulter Beach. The home was nice and very roomy! Can’t wait to book it again for next year.

We came to Florida for my niece's wedding and chose to rent a house near the ocean to entertain my grandchildren. It was a beautiful home, just as pictured. The children loved the pool and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It had plenty of rooms, bathrooms and beds for all of us. 8 adults, 2 children. My favorite part was sitting on the deck, looking at the ocean and hearing the waves. I loved the flat beach too. The owners were easy to access and prompt to address any issues, of which we only had one. The oven element shorted out after we used it, so no fault of anyone, but maintenance quickly came and took care of it. I would highly recommend this home and beach area. It was such a pleasant, relaxing experience.

We had 3 families in our stay. 6 adults and 5 kids all under 12. Place was perfect, it was almost like 2 separate houses which was perfect for us. Plenty of room and space. Location was perfect! 2 different public beach access points in both directions within 4-5 houses. Communication with owner was quick and easy. Had a fan not working and he replaced it right away around our schedule.

I would recommend this property, this house is exceptionally well furnished, house was clean, has all you need in the kitchen, we loved the pool and patio, although we couldn’t enjoy the pool too much because it rained. The beach is within walking distance.

Our family and friends enjoyed this beautiful, spacious home. Pool and hot tub are amazing! Gorgeous ocean views and the beach is beautiful.
The beds were very comfortable, and the home is nicely furnished. Short trip to sightsee in Saint Augustine. We would love to go back again!

Great house! Kitchens have everything you need! Wonderful house, pool, neighborhood!

This house worked perfectly for our family of 8 adults and 4 children as each family had their own bedroom and privacy. Having 2 kitchens and living space was especially nice for early morning risers! The pool and hot spa were amazing and so nice to have when not at the beach, which was also so conveniently in short walking distance. The sunrises from the deck or kitchen windows were beautiful and having coffee on the deck watching the sunrise was very peaceful and a great way to start the day. The residential streets around the property were very nice and peaceful but not really walkable as far as shops or restaurants, you have to drive into town to get any type of food or entertainment. Historic St Augustine was very cool and other nearby beach towns were fun to go too also; the history of the area is very cool! The owners were very responsive with any issues or questions we had. Highly recommend this house for large family gatherings.

I would recommend this house to anyone and will hopefully stay there again. This was hands down the best VRBO house I have stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few. The house was beautiful, all new living room and family room furniture. All the deck furniture on the top deck facing the water was replaced with new furniture while we were there. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and loved having two full kitchens, one downstairs and one upstairs, it made days by the pool very nice and easy. The neighborhood was so nice and quiet and the view to the ocean was great. We spent a lot of time by the pool and it was great.
The owner David was the best. He was the most responsive owner I've had in all the houses I've rented. He responded very quickly to any questions we had about the house or the area. Will definitely rent from him again.
