Not enough words to describe this place. It was our 3rd stay, and we are already booked to stay again.

3rd trip to the island and our 2nd visit to Oceanaire. Excellent central location, peaceful, and with no homes nearby to the north, you have a couple miles of beach pretty much to yourself. The screened verandah is perfect to enjoy the evening air without getting hit by the no-see-ums bugs. Definitely our favorite room in the home. Luc is wonderful to communicate with regarding questions and details for your stay. His caretaker Justin is also excellent and also made for a very enjoyable trip. Highly recommend this one.

Wonderfully appointed home w/gorgeous views and great beach. Everything you could possibly want was there and with the convenience of being just a few minutes from GH.
Definitely recommend!

Total privacy with phenomenal ocean views. The house is exactly like its photos. There were just 2 of us and it was ideal. With more than 2 adults it would be a bit "cozy". Shopping for groceries in Governors Harbour is limited. A trip to Rock Harbour takes you to the best supermarket on the island to stock up early.

Best place ever to unwind and relax…best views and perfect location…quiet town nearby with pretty much all you need. Water is amazing!
Owners and property manager is easy to get in touch with any questions or needs.
We love it at Oceanaire…..
Will be back !

An Awesomely beautiful property! Snorkeling right off the beach was phenomenal. The place was great. Loved the fully stocked kitchen and the grill setup. Appreciated the choice of outdoor areas and the outdoor shower. Private and gorgeous.
We hit the small grocery stores in town daily, and bought fish from the the local fisherman each day at 2:00 in town. Not a lot of restaurants in the area, but why not cook in and enjoy the view. We loved this place.

Wow!! This is such a beautiful spot on a gorgeous beach. We saw small sharks and a large string ray from the beach multiple times. The beach in front of the home is the best of both worlds, great snorkeling and sandy swimming spots as well!! Very nice home, and loved all the extras… spices, TP, soap, etc… Outside shower was handy and plenty of lounge chairs for enjoying the outdoors. We loved the landscaping, we saw unique birds, frogs, and lots of mosquitoes! The screened porch was lovely but it was actually so warm we didn’t get to really enjoy it! The caretaker, Justin was literally the best and so attentive, we enjoyed speaking with him on more than one occasion! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!!! Can’t wait to come back!

We loved the oceanfront location and the huge amount of outdoor living space. We spent a lot of time on the huge screened in porch enjoying hearing the crashing ocean waves.

This was our 2nd time staying at Oceanaire- and we still love it! Perfect location mid-island, beautiful views and lots of toys (snorkeling gear/kayak/SUPs/beach chairs...) to enjoy the water. Justin is such a great caretaker of this beautiful property- thank you, we will be back!

Superb accommodations and exquisite location. Our third time and just can't say enough about how much we enjoy this property.

This is a beautiful property with outstanding views of the ocean from many angles. The screened in porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and naps on the porch. The sundeck was awesome as well as the outside shower. The seating on the porch was used as well. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept with the screen door listening to the ocean. Best sleep ever! The people that live on the island are so friendly. The road/s were a bit challenging but we found several beautiful beaches where at times we were the only ones there. Really relaxing and a perfect place to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary! Thank you!

Absolutely loved this rental. You cannot beat the views of the ocean! The rental has everything you can ever need for your stay. The screened in porch was perfect for sitting outside in the evenings and not being dinner for the mosquitos! We brought a cooler with our favorite meats from the States with no issues. Loved grilling burgers and steaks on the grill! Hope to come back soon!

We arrived at Oceanaire just before dark, via the "back way" (we did not have a "clicker" to enter the Banana Beach development). All entry instructions were right on the money. The property was simply gorgeous. Justin Pinder, the caretaker, was very respectful of our privacy. He brought us a 5 gallon bottle of water for the dispenser. We loved the beach. We tried to walk up the road to the north (a road we DROVE down several years ago) but it was really overgrown. Theoretically you could walk to The Deck via that overgrown path. We spent a lot of time at Alabaster, aka Receivers, aka Cocco Di Mamma beach. It is about 8 minutes away from Oceanaire (once you get the clicker)....which makes the airport about 10 minutes away.
Oceanaire had GREAT privacy. We saw two or three people on the beach. I really liked the lower deck (halfway up the bluff). Everything you need is at this house. Tons of music, tons of books, tons of movies. We will be back.

Perfect home and location
This was our 2nd trip back to Eleuthera and we booked Oceanaire to experience the Atlantic side of the island. It was just 2 of us, but the home would be equally as incredible for 4 given the layout, separate spacious baths, and large common areas. Kitchen was very well appointed for any type of meal as well. We absolutely loved the large screened veranda and grill. We enjoyed all our meals out there, and it was a blessing to sit out listening to the ocean late at night without any bugs. I think that was our favorite spot in the house.
Super clean, and their caretaker Justin was very responsive to questions.
The location was incredible and the landscaping was beautiful. With no nearby homes (and none to the north), it was like having a private 1-2mi long beach all to ourselves for morning walks. Extremely relaxing, and would most definitely return.
Owners were also very responsive to questions, and the guest book they provided prior to arrival was super helpful in providing all the info needed for an incredible and relaxing stay. Thank you!

Beautiful home with spectacular views near town
We loved the home and the setting. The kitchen is well stocked with everything and we loved grilling fish we purchased from the local fisherman. Dining out is very expensive on the island (at least double US prices) so we brought some dry goods in suitcases and ate out only once a day.. The house is just a few miles from grocery, restaurants. couple of shops. Governors Harbour is a good location for a home base if you want to explore both North and South. It was about an hour drive from North Eleuthera Airport. Water was a bit rough for snorkeling at house beach, but nice for swimming and walking. We loved the screened in porch especially the daybed for relaxing.. There are several place to sit outside and enjoy the fabulous view. We did boat trip off gene's bay, fill day exploring harbour Island, to the North and mangroves near rock sound in the South. Our only disappointment was that the caretaker was not responsive to our few requests including that the internet was down for the last 2 days of our trip.

Amazing as usual!
What more could you ask for? Privacy, awesome beach, sunshine, a beautiful view of the Atlantic, and a house that is well equiped and comfortable. My only complaint is that it it is so comfortable with the sea breeze keeping the bugs away and keeping you from getting too hot, you are liable to get sunburn because you can sit out all day long on the oceanview patio.

First Time To Eleuthera
What a wonderful stay! This was our first time in Eleuthera, and thanks to Oceanaire, unlikely to be our last. I was a little timid about renting a home in another country, but my fears were unwarranted. The home was up to date, clean, and comfortable. From the clean sheets/beds to the well stocked kitchen, we had everything we needed. Even little things like coffee, beach towels, sunscreen, and a first aid kit, Luc and Marianne had it covered. The outdoor view was unbeatable! We loved our private beach, screened porch, and outdoor shower. It was great to be close to Governors Harbour for restaurants and a central location on the island. Lastly, the caretaker, Justin was so helpful. From the car rental to checking our WiFi one day when it was down for a few hours - he was onsite when asked to help out. I am hesitant to even write this review because I want it to stay a secret. :) It was THAT great!

Amazing week at Oceanaire
The location was perfect to explore the island North and South side. Quick trip to the gas station, groceries and liquor stores. The kitchen is stocked well and the BBQ is great! Sheets and towels are also plentiful and mattresses are are also very comfy.

What a great week.
The house was just as advertised, but the views were more spectacular than we were expecting. This house is in a convenient, yet very private location. I think we saw 5 people on the beach - all week! And it was a fantastic beach. The house was very comfortable, well maintained and had great amenities. The kitchen was well stocked. The screened porch was great for hanging out and dining. The beds were comfortable. Total decompression is what we wanted and that's what Oceanaire offers. We hope to return one day.

Great paradise getaway
Very relaxing home with beautiful decor. Private beach and amazing views. Justin, the property manager, was perfect and made sure we were happy the whole time. Cheers to next time!!

Amazing!
We had trouble motivating ourselves to leave to go explore the island. Location was absolutely perfect, and in so many ways is the beach house I’d design if I had the chance. Well done, and we are already considering booking again later in the year.

Breathtaking
We could not have been more pleased. The home was spotless with an extremely well-stocked kitchen. The view, the property and the beach were spectacular. We rented a car from Justin and he was wonderful. Don’t hesitate to rent this property! Overall, one of the best vacations we have ever had!

Perfect vacation
This was our third time to the island and our first time staying at Oceanaire. It was perfect! Great location, beautiful views, sun on the terrace & shade on the covered patio. The house was clean and inviting with everything we needed. The screened in porch was amazing- loved the comfy daybed. We used the kayak in front of the house, took the paddle boards to the Carribean side (so fun), snorkeled and walked for miles on the beach (saw only 5 other people the entire time). We love Eleuthera and we'll be back to Oceanaire!

Incredible...again.
The house is great! Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 weeks. Weather was perfect everyday.... Sunny, warm, slight breeze. The house had lots of supplies, spices, dishes, a great kitchen and a great deck and porch overlooking the ocean. And the island in general is taking covid very seriously which was a concern before arriving. Definitely more serious than the USA. I felt safer on Eleuthera more so than my home town of Seattle, and Seattle takes it pretty seriously.

Awesome!!!
This was our second time in as many years staying at Oceanaire. This is our favorite property in Eleuthera!!! It's like a home away from home. Everything you can think of is at the house ready for you to use and enjoy. The views is out of this world! Looking forward to be back soon!!

The best!
This place has it all! Great view, private, and very updated beach house. I've stayed at a lot of places in Central and North Eleuthera, and this is by far my favorite. I had stayed at this house in 2015 for a month and the updates the owners have performed have been top notch.
The house was very clean, the beds were super comfortable, and I don't think I've ever experienced a more stocked kitchen. Tons of spices, lots of pots and pans....
The new screened-in porch was well-crafted with fine-mesh screens so you could pretty much keep the doors open all the time and soak up the sounds of the surf.
The new outside shower was an awesome addition as well. Good water pressure and being able to just stare at the ocean from the shower can't be beat.
The house has been updated with zonal heat pumps so you can just AC your bedroom without having to do the whole house.
The stairs to the beach are a little haphazard though the owner was planning on doing some work on them in the next few weeks. They are definitely functional, but you need to pay attention as there are some inconsistent treads and risers.... in other words, I wouldn't recommend the steps for those over 80 or under 5. But what do you expect with steps that are getting wet at high tide. I was able to carry a paddle board and beers up and down the stairs no problem, so just be careful.
Also, be careful on the beach especially where there is no reef (like in front of Sky Beach Resort), I saw a 4-foot shark and a skate (or ray) swimming not more than 10 or 15 feet out. Probably harmless and easy to spot since the water is so clear, but it definitely accelerated my breathing while I was swimming out there.
Otherwise, the beach is wonderful. We usually saw no more than 4 people on it any given day, but most times it was empty.
Overall, this place is my favorite place on Eleuthera, so much so, I already booked it for the next year before I left.

No Television
This is a beautiful house and property and we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 week stay. Great furnishings inside and out. However without our knowledge the owners discontinued television service shortly before we arrived. 4 weeks with no access to news or sports broadcasts is a long time. The caretaker apparently was unaware that this had happened but the owners were apparently dismissive about the whole thing. Also there was no garbage collection for the entire time. Garbage that was in the cans when we arrived was still there a month later as was all of ours. We have been coming to eleuthera for 18 years and this is not normal. Lastly the 42 steps down to the beach are precarious and need to be rebuilt. Hate to be negative but the owners should have alerted us about the tv situation but obviously didn't care.

Relaxing and rejuvenating!!
This was the best vacation my husband and I have truly ever been on!! It was such a beautiful home with such a beautiful view and basically a private beach all to ourselves!! It could not have been more perfect!! We will be going back for many years to come!!

Amazing!
My family and I had an amazing second visit to Eleuthera due in no small part to staying at Oceanaire! No detail had been overlooked what so ever. Justin, the property manager, was great to deal with as well. We look forward to coming back very soon and staying at Oceansaire. Thank you Lou & Marianne for everything!!

Amazing
Oceanaire is exactly as it is pictured. We could't believe how well appointed the house is. Everything you could possibly need is available in the home. We loved the deserted beach, I thought it was one of the prettiest we visited all week long. We spent hours swimming and snorkeling the reef right in front of the house. We especially enjoyed the Sono's sound system, which really added that homey touch for us as we would much rather listen to music than watch TV. I would highly recommend Oceanaire for sooo many reasons but it is central in location, close to the restaurants and grocery in Governor's Harbor, located on a fantastic beach and really felt like a beautiful, comfortable home.
We rented a SUV from Justin (house caretaker)--great choice. The car was in great condition and Justin was great! He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport.

Better than described!
Four of us spent a perfect week at Oceanaire. The house is impeccable, secluded, and close to town. It overlooks a pink sand beach that's virtually deserted, with 2-6 people walking up the beach each day. If the beach is too windy, there's a private sundeck with 180 degree views of the water. There's a library of books, snorkeling gear, massive grill, outdoor and indoor showers, screened porch (again with a view), and the kitchen has all the equipment you need.
For activities and restaurants, the Friday night fish fry is great, as is the farm stand. Sunrise Inn looked a little rustic but was surprisingly good. Buccaneer is not at all rustic and also good. Pascal's Sunday pool party is a bit ratty and the drinks were ridiculously expensive, but you can walk there down the beach. The native plants preserve is a nice walk. There's decent snorkeling on the reefs just north of the house (go at slack tide and not when the winds are strong, always bring a buddy), and there's very good beginner-friendly snorkeling at beach 69 in the local beach book (off Bank Rd.). Burrow's grocery store has all the staples, the fish market is very hit or miss but we picked up some nice groupers there, and Bristol's liquor was the best of the liquor stores we found. Don't be afraid to hit some of the roadside food stands that pop up on Fridays and weekends too.
The only limitation is the 40 sturdy but uneven steps to the beach, so if stairs aren't your thing, this might not be the place for you. Also, launching the kayak requires a lot of strength and endurance to haul a heavy boat up and down the stairs. But you could have a great time without ever taking the kayak off the rack.

Everything and more we hoped for!
I'm not sure I can describe how incredibly tranquil and rejuvenating our time at Oceanaire was. We searched through several options for our first time visit to Eleuthera, we came to celebrate 25 years of marriage and Oceanaire did not disappoint. We pulled down the long drive, parked next to the palm tree with coconuts, topical red flowers and nautical buoys in trees and immediately had to walk out to the sunbathing ledge to take in that view, without even seeing the house yet we just knew this was going to be an incredible place to spend our time! From inside the house, the view is just as stunning, ever-changing bahama blue waters all around! The expansive covered porch is even larger in person, the living area and kitchen has soaring ceilings and every amenity one needs to feel simultaneously at home and yet a million miles away from real life! At night the bedroom reminded us of a swimming pool, the turquoise soft lights were so relaxing, so many unique touches. We explored the island a bit, a day trip to Spanish Wells was our fave! Drinks from Sammy at Sky Beach (just up the beach) was super convenient as well as quick trips into the adorable Gov Harbor for food / beer. Yet each time we went out we couldn't wait to get back to the sun ledge and pink sand of our own private beach! We did go into town and buy an umbrella because we loved sitting out so much and we had gorgeous full sun most days, we attached it to the comfy lounger with zip ties! (Island style) We left the umbrella so maybe it will come in handy to the next sun worshipers! What a dreamy vacation, it was not easy to say goodbye! Thank you Luc and Marianne for sharing your home and thanks to Justin for being so very helpful! We will cherish our serene memories at Oceanaire and hope to return one day!

Paradise!
Just returned from 8 beautiful days at Oceanaire, we absolutely loved everything about our vacation!!! The house is beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Beautiful views of the gorgeous beach and very private, we enjoyed long days swimming and snorkeling. Highly recommend going for a walk along the beach at low tide as you will see beautiful coral reefs and a variety of tropical fish!!
Highly recommend renting a car, we rented one from the caretaker (Justin) and it was exactly what we were looking for (newer car, clean and in great condition), Justin was also very helpful during our stay, he even went out of his way to find some lobsters for us. :)
We loved eating dinner a few times at Tippy's and 1648 Bar and Grille we also enjoyed lunch at Buccaneers (delicious conch fritters).
Luc and Marianne were extremely responsive when we had any questions, they did a great job putting together the "Oceanaire Guest Kit", print it and bring it with you - there you will find the answers to every question you might have during your stay!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in this piece of paradise! Cannot wait to go back!!!

Perfect!
Wonderful house. BEAUTIFUL beach. It was just what I had been planning/imagining for a long time.
Very private beach. On the days we spent on the beach in front of Oceanaire, we saw an average of one person per day. The average goes up to about two people per day on the beach if we count the three additional people we saw when we walked to the south where some other houses are located (three people total in three separate walks to the south).
The house has all the amenities. And the fridge has plenty of condiments left behind from previous guests. We also contributed a bit to the fridge and the freezer (vodka).
And even though it was a little warm to enjoy (for me more than the wife) during the afternoon, we did spend some time every evening on the screened porch, playing games and listening to the surf and/or to music.
NOTE that the power on the island (or in our part) went out at least once per day for five to forty-five minutes. However, this never caused any issues until we were headed for the airport. Do not cut it too close. When the power is out, the security gates do not open. We decided we needed to get out rather than continue waiting for the power and started driving south, parallel to the beach and managed to get to Sky Beach and into their complex and to the highway. Luckily, their lot was not chained off. If it would have been, we would have missed a flight which would have caused a lot of problems.
