Casanou is a 3 bedroom apartment right on the renowned beach of Trou Aux Biches for rental. The apartment is 100 m2 and situated on the first floor of a large villa right on the beach. Its independent entrance is from a first floor balcony at the rear, which is accessed via a few steps. Glass sliding doors lead from the lounge onto a covered terrace with panoramic 180 degree views of the sea and the beach. The apartment is next to Villa Les Charmilles, Villa Patricia, Villa Joelle, Villa Gerbera and Corinne’s Bungalow.

Casanou Accommodation
Casanou has 3 bedrooms and an open plan lounge cum dining area and fully equipped kitchen. With 3 bedrooms with a double bed, it sleeps 3 couples. There is also a large cot is in the main bedroom upstairs. An extra foam mattress can also be used for a child if necessary.

All 3 bedrooms are air-conditioned and one is also fitted with a ceiling fan. 2 separate toilets (one en-suite to main bedroom) & a separate shower room.

An electronic alarm system with response is also there for your security. You will be given your guest code so that you may alarm the apartment when going out and at night. The balcony balustrades have been reinforced with wire-mesh netting for child security. This balcony is closed off at night with retractable steel security door.
The back door which is the only point of entry to the apartment is also fitted with a retractable security door so that the door can be left open to allow the flow of fresh air.

Perfekte Location, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber mit ganz viel Charme. Einfach auf dem Balkon sitzen, die Brise über dem Indischen Ozean genießen. Schnorcheln, Abendspaziergang - alles direkt vor der Haustür. Sehr entspannte Umgebung, Supermarkt, der alles Nötige hat, direkt gegenüber. Für entspanntes Chillen einfach perfekt.

Appartment direkt am Strand mit gigantischem Blick vom Balkon aufs Meer. Durch die Westausrichtung sitzt man beim Sonnenuntergang in der ersten Reihe. Schnorcheln direkt möglich mit vielen kleinen und grösseren "Aquarien". Das Appartment ist sauber und wird täglich von der netten, aufmerksamen Laura gepflegt. Direkt gegenüber der Anlage befindet sich ein gut sortierter Supermarkt, in näherer Umgebung sind viele gute Restaurants. Sollten wir Mauritius wieder besuchen (Wahrscheinlichkeit sehr hoch), werden wir dieses Appartment in jedem Fall wieder mit in die Auswahl mit einbeziehen! Vielen Dank!

I actually felt a little depressed when we left.

The maid is lovely and will happily cook Mauritian food if you ask her. She comes and cleans almost everyday so it’s a real treat and a lovely holiday. Was a bit of a mix up when we arrived but all was solved and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. You can enjoy the view from the shade of the terrace when it gets hot or you’re having your lunch!!

Un appartement les pieds dans l'eau, une terrasse donnant sur une plage de rêve, sable fin, lagon turquoise, cocotier et soleil. Le propriétaire est adorable et serviable. La femme de ménage est une excellente cuisinière. Nous sommes enchantés des deux semaines passées sur place. Allez y les yeux fermés.

Perfect Holidays in the Perfect Apartment

It was my 6th time on Mauritius, due to family ties in Port Louis, but it was the first time in a "right-at-the-Beach"-Apartment. The 2-Storey Appartment (one big Bedroom with an additional bed for a baby and a little toilet-room was placed right beneath the roof) was perfect (if not too big ;-)) for my travel mate and me. The fact that the logistics for a day at the beach were quite simple (two big towels over my shoulder and a good book in my hand) is a big plus for any apartment right at the beach. Our mornings were spent on the quite spacious balcony (one quarter of the balcony is without a roof ... very lazy folks could have their sunbath here on the 2 sunloungers instead of making the 40 steps trip to the beach) while chilling out on these very comfy wicker chairs (are they called like this ... not sure here). Our wonderful maid Lora (greetings to her please) took care of the rooms each day except Sunday ... and she did a very good job not only cleaning the house but also with her very natural, friendly and welcoming demeanor in the conversations we had (helped me a lot to improve my terrible french)!! The kitchen is fully equipped, absolutely no shortcomings here. No worry about bringing towels to the island, the apartment provides more than enough. The place is situated directly opposite a very fine pizza-place (seriously ... i mean it ... pizza there is top notch ... they got an italian chef) and approximately 30 meters from a little super market (Chez Popo) where you can get everything you need and then some!!! Two other restaurants are easily reachable by foot left and/or right down the road. On our arrival day we were welcomed by our host Cyril, who lives in the other house on the property and who was kind enough to drive with us to an open supermarket in Grand Baie (it was late Sunday afternoon so Chez Popo was already closed) ... we only got our rental car the next day (parking place on property included). The only criticism must be directed at ourselves, for staying only two weeks and the time-related problems that occur when you have so little time ... a few more chill-out-beach days would have been fine (we drove around the island and went diving a LOT) ... plus we would have liked at least one more evening with our lovely hosts ... IT WAS AN OVERALL PERFECT STAY .. we intend to come back!!!! Thanks to Hans and Cyril Gauthier (and every other Gauthier involved ;-))!!!!
