Villa Elvira is a splendid and luminous three-story villa built sheer above the sea. It sleeps ten people. From Villa Elvira you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. Villa Elvira is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, two spacious private terraces with a view of the sea, a private patio, a private garden, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the heart of Praiano, a few steps from restaurants and shops. You will find a number of restaurants at 500 meters (550 yards), shops a few meters (feet) away, the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus Positano - Praiano line at 20 meters (65 feet) and the closest beach at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile). You will reach Villa Elvira from the parking area along a short public walkway that includes approximately 38 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Elvira. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, free of charge in a private parking lot. The parking space is suitable for at most one car.

Villa Elvira is part of the historical center of Praiano, which consists of a cluster of white houses on the highest area of a steep slope of a hill overlooking the sea. The houses are nestled around the beautiful bell-tower and the eighteenth-century church of San Luca.
In this area of Praiano, almost all the houses date back to the eighteenth century. They feature white facades often decorated with stuccoes, patios below masonry arches sustaining terraces facing the sea, and sloping gardens filled with flowers and citrus trees around. Walking through such extraordinary village, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO, means climbing narrow stairways and pedestrian streets. The whole area is made for pedestrians, except for the only access street to the main square. Here you will no find streets packed with tourists; all you will see are the kind inhabitants of the place. And you will be able to experience the fascination and authentic beauty of the Amalfi Coast: one not changed by the actions of tourism!
Villa Elvira is a few steps away from the main square, and it also features a private garage at the end of the pedestrian area. In order to arrive at the villa from the garage area, all you have to do is ascend a short 38-step staircase. The main square is a large terrace overlooking the coastal scenery.
Villa Elvira boasts the fascination of old Mediterranean houses built respecting the slopes of steep rocky lands. Both the house and the garden are distributed on three floors, and each level of the house can be reached both from the garden and from an indoor staircase.
On the highest area of the garden you will find the swimming-pool. The pool is surrounded by a terrace where you can sunbathe and enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the coast.
During your stay at Villa Elvira, you will be close to one of the most typical beaches of the Amalfi Coast, the beach of Praia. The beach spreads from the base of a narrow gorge enclosed by high rocky walls deeply incised by erosion. To reach the beach you can take the local bus which stops about 20 meters (approximately 66 feet) away from the villa.
However, don’t miss the chance of going to beach on foot at least once if you are in good shape: you can descend from the villa until the State Road through shortcuts consisting of stairways. Once you have crossed the State Road, you will have to go along a picturesque pedestrian foot path goes past the medieval Tower and descends towards the sea through a trail dug along the rocks. The breathtaking scenery will compensate the workout to go along the way. Rendering the walk even more pleasant, once you have arrived at the beach, are the small bars and restaurants which feature tables on rocks caressed by the waters of the sea…

Villa Elvira has all you need for a special stay in Praiano. It is centrally located, has spectacular views, spacious living areas and bedrooms, close to transport, supermarkets and restaurants.
The owners and support staff are always close by to assist with any issues. The pool is also spectacular and well maintained.
I've had dealings with Luca and his team over a 4 year period. Their service is faultless and I would definitely use them again when travelling to Italy -- many sincere thanks

Summer In Italy hooked us up for Villa Elvira. The villa was outstanding. The views from the villa drew everyone to the terrace every morning and evening while we were there. It became the family gathering place. The bedrooms were very nice, each having its own bath. The kitchen served us well on morning coffee and breakfast and days where we stayed at the villa enjoying the pool and the views.
The location was the best. The villa is between Amalfi and Positano with easy access to both, but in a smaller town away from large groups of tourists. Awesome experience.
Summer In Italy was the only way to book a villa. Klint from Summer In Italy provided exceptional service and assistance. They helped with all arrangements and provided information on Italy that really helped. I loved their responsiveness and help from finding a villa to the final days of our stay. They are great and we will use them again on our future trips to Italy.

Villa Elvira was comfortable, spacious and very accommodating. We usually would have an adventure in the morning until early afternoon, then meet back at the villa to relax around the pool. There are stairs to climb.

Stunning views! Villa Elvira was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have selected a more spectacular location to see the sunrise and sunset of the Amalfi Coast. We loved our stay in Praiano.
We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and markets. There are many steps in Praiano but we actually enjoyed the exercise!!

This is a beautiful villa and views are incredible. We really enjoyed out stay here.
The location is so great, as the bus pickup is just below the villa. Praiano is the place to be, as the tourist traffic is much lower than either Amalfi or Positano. It is important, however, for people to know that the Amalfi Coast is all built on steep hills, so there are many steeps to climb no matter where you go, including this villa.
The local staff was very responsive and nice.

We had a wonderful time in Villa Elvira (11 days in July, 6 adults and 2 children). The villa is clean, very large and very quiet. The views from the terraces are fantastic. The pool is very useful and refreshing after a day exploring the coast. We highly recommend this villa!

Villa Elvira was lovely and a perfect fit for our family of 4 adult couples. Everyone had their own bathroom in their bedrooms and it was spread out so that we each had our own space. It was well equipped and the furnishings were lovely. Actually the pictures do not do it justice, it was much nicer in person. The view is stunning, with an unobstructed view of the water.
They provided little extras, such as shampoo, hair dryers in each bath and soaps, beautiful towels, as you would expect in a good hotel. Cleaning service came twice during our stay.
I am thankful Summer In Italy recommended Praiano and it was perfect for us. I cannot say enough about your company without sounding like a fake review. :) I appreciated your almost immediate response to my emails. There is no language barrier, Melanie was my "go to" person. We enjoyed Villa Elvira very much!! Perfect location and beautiful villa! Used the pool a lot! Would recommend to anyone who can do steps, we loved it!
Severio was our caretaker and he was fantastic! Came running for our every need in record time!
Luca and Valeria and Andrea and Melanie and more from Summer In Italy were the best! Would do it again but not in July!

We were a group of 8 adults and we had a ball
We were a group of 8 adults and we had a ball! The house is quite large and great for a large group.
Local bus at your door.
We used all the rooms and the large dining area was great to sit and discuss our day.
Used the pool everyday, helped to cool us off after our day of site seeing.
Manager very helpful with local shops, restaurants etc and organised us a great day on Isle of Capri.
I wish to thank you for all your help when we started planning our Italian holiday. Our villa was awesome, everything we needed was there. Thank you, Luca, for your quick responses to any emails/questions that we asked.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Elvira.
The house was clean and comfortable. Everything was a short walk away (up and down hills). The beach was a bit more challenging to get to because of all the steps.
The staff was unbelievably accommodating, helpful and professional.

Villa Elvira was outstanding
Villa Elvira was outstanding! The perfect location in Praiano to experience local life.
Sitting on the terrace (taking in one of the best views on the planet!) ensured we all relaxed and made the best of the holiday.
Very good support and advice from owner.
We are now looking at a return visit to Praiano next year and we will certainly book with Summer in Italy again. Currently looking at villas in Praiano.

Villa Elvira lived up to and exceeded our expectations!!
The rooms were all large and light and the terrace and view were wonderful.
Saverio [the caretaker] was a great help and nothing was too much trouble for him. The cleaning was great as was the lovely young lady who did it. We had a dinner catered by a Chef and Saverio as our waiter for my birthday which was a treat and a fantastic night was had by everyone.
I found Summer In Italy by Google. The help and communication was amazing. We loved our dinner for my birthday and your help with organizing the chef, waiter and menu was very much appreciated.

We loved villa Elvira
We loved villa Elvira. It was much better than the pictures can show.
The little grocer down the street was great, pool was great, rooms all large and roomy suite by the pool was charming, clean as a pin, fabulous views.
The caretaker was right on it, very helpful and accommodating. We had arranged for dinner to be prepared there the night we arrived and it was fabulous. Couldn't have been a better start to the week.
We thought the villa gave us a very authentic feel of life in Praiano. The sea from the terrace is endlessly entertaining.
Our rental agent was great, very helpful. We rented with you because of several agencies, you had a villa that seemed to suit our needs.
