Lovely stay in old town

Casa Roaz is a beautiful traditional townhouse. It is centrally located and very convenient to sights, restaurants and shops. Our host did not contact us previous to arrival with information how to access the room but was very responsive when we called the phone no posted outside upon arrival. Our room (suite) was comfortable but small.

The stairs would be difficult for someone with mobility challenges.

Beautiful Getaway

The place is absolutely stunning - bonus for having an AC. Close to the train station - perfect location close to numerous restaurants and extremely close to the ferry if you're thinking of heading into Trioa! In Setubal itself you have the option of walking to the beach or taking the bus - all very doable! Location is just amazing!

We were not happy with the accomodation.

First of all we did not get the room that is shown in the advertisement. There was only one price shown and we definitely believed that the room we had booked was the primary one shown in the pictures. However it wasn´t. That room is the two floor apartment directly above us. So the advertising is ambiguous. The room we got is definitely too small for two people. It is impossible to open two suitcases as there isn´t enough room. Upon entering the room we could immediately smell that previous tenants had been smokers when we had believed it was a non smoking room. Honestly the room stank, despite the excellent job the cleaning woman did to prepare the room.

awful-we left a day/night early and requested a refund

it was clean and in a central location

it has 3 very very steep sets of stairs with 12-13 steps each flight.2 flights to apartment, the a 3rd to bedroom/bath. One in our party chose to sleep on first floor ( essentially in kitchen) on sleep sofa but lines nowhere to be found. very noisy neighborhood with loud church bells

Very good location, clean and comfortable room, contactless check-in without any problem. AC and hot water was important to have for the colder days.

The walls are too thin and so it can be noisy, as well as cold in the winter.

Everything a person needs. Small, cozy, but also a bit loud.

Central location. The room was quite modern and had everything I needed. The price is very reasonable. For one person definitely worth it.

It was quite loud. I heard everyone in the building, every step or sound and when the bell of the nearby church rang, it was very loud as well. And there was some crackling noise throughout the whole stay. Maybe some electronics, I don't know.

Charming house in the heart of Setubal

The location was perfect around in the old town. The house is definitely very cute and charming. We were very pleased with our stay.

The space was little tight but this was expected from the pictures; just something to be aware of.

Absolutely amazing stay, just mind the stairs!

Casa Roaz is just lovely! Check-in and check-out were extremely simple, everything was clean and the apartment design was absolutely lovely. Hard to pick a better location in Setubal!

The only thing that was a little uncomfortable were the stairs. If you have a lot of luggage or a baby it might be a bit tricky to get to the top floor where the 2nd floor bedroom is.

great location

location, was in the center os Setúbal, you have a lot restaurant’s that you can chose from etc.

everything besides the location, first I thought I booked the apartment and turns out it was the “suite” (super tiny). Until then it was ok. The bathroom smelled constantly bad, the bed was clearly improvised, it’s not the same that you see in this pictures, the pillows are horrible, couldn’t sleep in the first night because of that. Last but not least, it’s not a safe place at all, I felt that anyone could come in there, since the door was really poor, I could even open the door from the other guests with my key. Overall i don’t recommend the suite and will not come back. Be prepared for the steps, but it’s an old building so that’s normal.

Exceptional quaint apartment

Exceptional, quaint apartment. Beautiful views in a perfect central location. Spotlessly clean with a fabulous decor. Double bedroom was perfect and one adult used the pull out couch which was very comfortable. Plenty of fresh towels. Very easy to collect & return key to combination lock. We were sorry we were'nt staying longer. Would definately return.

Great charming room

The room was perfect, very well decorated and comfy. Little attentions such as free Nespresso coffee, fresh water and Christmas decorations. Great location, in the best district of the city, near a church.

Room was not ready on arrival

Good location

On arrival the room was not ready, bed turned, dirty linen on the floor and covers on the chair. When called to advise the property owner it felt to me it was taken very lightly. Do not feel I was compensated for having to move for one room to another when I was supposed to have had a relaxed worry free long weekend. The photos are misleading, they announce the duplex not the suite, be aware what you are booking. The street is very loud. Very steep stairs. No curtains, if you want privacy you have to have the shutters closed all times. What they call a balcony are french windows with an iron protection in front. Overall felt deceived and not compensated in the slightest.
