About this house rental
This 104 year old beach cottage has undergone a spectacular transformation with a three level addition and the total renovation of the existing house. The main level addition includes a large great room with 180 degree views along with a wrap-around deck. The upper level deck addition of the primary bedroom encompasses views of the Atlantic Ocean, Beavertail Lighthouse, Narragansett Bay, and Wesquage Pond Wildlife Refuge. The lower level addition boasts a large playroom and a third full bath. Every square inch of the original house has been renovated while maintaining the original charm of a beach cottage. The private beach is just a short 3 minute walk down the hill - 600 feet from door to shore! Access to the beach is by pass only for the residents and guests. (Please ignore the note inserted by VRBO saying a 10 min walk to the beach - that is NOT CORRECT). The house is a perfect spot for weekend escapes.
The home has a two living areas, one with a working stone fireplace and the other with a gas fireplace, large kitchen with a bar island, dining area, four bedrooms, 3 full baths, a playroom and two levels of outdoor decks. Hear the waves as you wake up in the primary bedroom with the sunrise over Bonnet Point. There is central A/C in the entire home.
This home has everything you need including internet access, Hulu live TV, linens, beach chairs, games, toys, washer/dryer and much more. Also included is an outdoor gas grill and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The private beach is one of the finest beaches in all of Rhode Island. The beach is cleaned daily in season and there is a lifeguard on duty. Boogie boards are welcome and surfing is permitted at certain times of the day. Children will be delighted with the rocks at the end of the beach where they can find plenty of tidal pool sea life.
Narragansett offers everything from beautiful beaches to fabulous fishing to scrumptious seafood. Newport, with its spectacular coastal scenery, thriving downtown waterfront, and famed Gilded Age mansions is just a short drive away. From this home, you can walk to several restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Brickley's Ice Cream - the best ice cream in Rhode Island.

Nancy was AMAZING, communicative and warm. We felt like we were at a home away from home and we had all we needed for our girls weekend. Our stay was made perfect by our host and the care she took to meet all of our needs. I would love to come back someday!

Wow! Best beach house we have ever rented! Fabulous house, very recent addition/construction with incredible views, very well appointed and beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail. It was an awesome place to relax with our extended family and literally a 2 min walk to the beach boardwalk.. We would love to stay here again!!

We had an amazing stay here and couldn't have asked for a better house and location. Three families each with 1 child under 3 and we all had plenty of space and privacy.
Nancy has thought of everything - toys for the kids, anything you'd need for the beach (which was beautiful and a 3 minute walk!), comfortable accommodations, etc.
We'll definitely be back!

Falling asleep with the window open hearing the waves lap on the beach. Family and friends for a seafood buffet. Beautiful mornings, lovely evenings with the fireplace and soft lighting. Just wonderful. Thank you!!!

Classic New England beach house
Fantastic beach house with tons of charm. We stayed off season (May) as we were in the area for a ceremony at Newport Naval Station and wanted to enjoy a long weekend get away. Absolutely loved it. Great views of the bay. Nice back yard for the dogs to play (as was the beach). The weather wasn’t great for our stay (rain) but we were so comfortable inside relaxing in the dining/sitting area looking out at the ocean.

Wonderful place, beautiful views, close to the beach
We really enjoyed our stay at this Bonnet Shores beach house. The views were amazing, the house was clean, and it was even decorated nicely for the holidays (we were there between Christmas and New Years'). Check in and out were easy and the house was perfect for our family. This was a very nice, quiet place to stay in the winter and would certainly be an amazing spot in the summer!

Perfect fall beach weekend
We were in town to see a football game at Salve Regina and the Fay's house was perfectly situated - a very easy ride to Newport and the beach steps away. Thanks for a terrific weekend!

Last minute anniversary getaway
Loved everything about it. Great location, in a beautiful, comfortable home with less than a five minute walk to the beach. The photos online do not do the home justice. Sweeping views of Narragansett Bay and lighthouse. Didn't want to leave and cannot wait to go back.

Love Love Love
Adorable, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped beach home. Lots of windows to take in the spectacular ocean view and the soothing sound of the waves. Quick walk to the uncrowded sandy beach, despite the summer-like weather. Shoreline walks with the dogs during captivating sunrise and the cutest sandpipers along the way. Large grassy backyard lined with beautiful hydrangeas and plenty of room for friends to gather and dogs to play. Many nearby seafood restaurants (delicious) and of course, Brickley’s ice cream (yummy). One of our best beach stays. Didn’t want to leave!

Perfect Escape
Although we live less than an hour away, this place was the perfect weekend escape from our normal pandemic routine. The morning sun coming through the upstairs bedroom windows, great coffee from Fuel, seafood from Twin Willows and The Mariner Grille, walking on the sand and exploring tide pools on Bonnet Shores beach, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Totally relaxing and just what we neeeded!

A family gathering in winter.
A beach house on a hill with four bedrooms, a fireplace and sweeping views of the ocean. It is kept clean but it is not a luxury property. Cabinets, etc. are a bit worn but what does that matter for a brief stay? We loved the walls of windows looking out at Narragansett Bay and the cozy fireplace. We had some nice walks on the beach even though it was winter. The owner is very nice. I recommend!

Wonderful place for a winter getaway!
We decided to do something different this time and opted for this beach house in winter (after a snow storm). Couldn't have been happier. The place is very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. The sitting area with glass windows all around was our favorite place to hang out, watching the sunrise! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, contact free and well described. We couldnt access the private beach for a walk due to the snow pile up and the main access seemed closed. However, the town beach is nearby, beautiful and equally empty this time of year, so that wasn't a problem.
Would love to visit again, may be in the summer.

Cozy and warm, wonderful escape
We found this weekend to be a perfect getaway experience. The host was so generous in gifting us delicious chocolate covered strawberries, cupcakes, fresh cut flowers upon our arrival to add to our beautiful Valentine's Weekend. We voted only a 4 in our accuracy only because the pictures didn't do it justice. It had such a clean, cozy charm and the fireplace really set the ambiance. The sunlight brightened the sunroom area and we had a clear shot to the ocean view. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise right from the bed, 🥰. There was plenty of extra space and three additional bedrooms that would be great for our boys next time. Another REAL bonus was it was pet friendly! Our pups got to experience the ocean for the first time and they LOVED it! The walk to the beach is short and in the summer I bet even more inviting. It was still shoveled and doable for the winter, and the property also was shoveled for easy access. There was great wifi for us to use wedding planning, and tvs for those that would be looking for one (or 3). There were also plenty of games available and books to cozy up with. Thank you for giving us a home away from home for the weekend! We would surely go back, with the rest of the family next time😊

Perfect place for a getaway
The Fay’s house is lovely. It’s in a great location - quiet neighborhood, easy drive into Newport and good access to other bars, restaurants, grocery stores and liquor stores. The view from the house is GORGEOUS. Easy walk to the beach. The fireplace added a level coziness to our stay. Everything was clean, and the check in and check out processes were easy. The hosts were quick to respond to questions or issues. Would highly recommend this place again.

Bonnet Shores stay
As my kitchen & bathrooms are under renovation, I needed a place to gather with my husband & kids for Christmas. So glad we rented 50 Conanicut Rd in Bonnet Shores. This home was warm & charming & very spacious for our family of six. It was well furnished & stocked with the essentials to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable. A bonus: stunning views looking across Narragansett Bay. Highly recommend!!!

Nice house great location - hot
This is a great house in a great location with fantastic views, but the listing that it has air conditioning is false. It was very hot and some days were miserable without ac. Otherwise we enjoyed it very much. Everything we needed was provided.

Delightful stay and very nice accomodations. Lovely views. I would love to return.
This is in a very nice neighborhood that provides privacay and access to the beach - just down a small hill. We had everything we needed and felt very comfortable in the setting. Thanks for all the care you have put into guests needs!

Family traditions by the sea
My family has enjoyed more than five years of summers at this beach house. We come from different parts of the east coast to spend time together and this has become our home away from home. It's amazingly comfortable and has everything a family needs for the quintessential beach vacation--from beach chairs and toys to stocked kitchen to outdoor shower to linens and beach towels. Clean and cozy, a quick walk to private beach, amazing views and ocean breezes and wave sounds. Every year, we count the months 'til our return at the end of our two weeks together. So much gratitude for the traditions we've created at Fay Beach House.

Million dollar views!!
From the second you walk in the front door, you are treated to the most inviting view of Bonnet Shores, the ocean, beach, pond, beaver tail light house and even the Newport Bridge! I doesn’t get any more nostalgic than this!! It is instantly relaxing! You will want to spend your morning coffee time sitting in the sun room enjoying a magnificent sunrise or even just watching the waves on a rainy day.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for and simple beach lunch to a large family lobster boil. The house flooded with natural light throughout the entire day. The bedrooms upstairs are nicely sized with plenty of sleeping space and beautiful views. The downstairs rooms are small but convenient and still come with a water view. The grounds are well maintained with plenty of room for kids to play and even a volleyball game.
It is a very short walk to a private beach that is never too crowded. The house has ample beach supplies including chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and umbrellas. Even if you’re not a beach-goer, the location of the property is perfect for shopping, dining out and visiting many of the New England sites. This house is a win win and we will visit again.

Great Family Vacation House
We have stayed here several times and always look forward to coming back. The location of this house cannot be beat! There is a spectacular view of the ocean and the ponds; you can hear the waves all day long. The house was clean, comfortable and welcoming, with linens, towels and beach chairs provided. It's an easy walk down the hill to the beach where the kids love to boogey board and search for sea creatures on the rocks at the end of the beach. The kitchen is well equipped. There are several restaurants, an ice cream place and a convenience store within walking distance. Walking to Brickley's Ice Cream is a favorite!
