Good location and really clean

I really appreciated how close this accommodation was to Seoraksan National Park. It is a great location if you want to hike around the mountains.
I booked a room that was specified to have mountain views, but upon arrival, I was given one with a view of a concrete wall (see the attached picture). When I inquired at reception, I was informed that the promoted room is only for exhibition purposes.

Great location in the mountains with beautiful views! The room was nice and we enjoyed our stay.
The sleeping pads were quite thin and not very comfortable compared to other similar ones I’ve slept on, but we enjoyed our stay overall.
4.1
Really good hotel to stay at if visiting the National Park
Staff didnt speak English but did her best to communictate with us and were helpful
The room was big and spacious and had a very well equipt kitchen.
We booked the studio room but was surprised to get a room with a seperate extra bedroom
Overall it is great place to stay. Its a short 20min walk to the entrance of the National Park. There is a 7/11 and a coffee shop right across the lane
As for the hotel itself - The decor and feeling to the hotel was that it was a bit dated and has probably seen better days but for us this added to the charm. It wasnt run down in any way.
The area around the hotel had alot of closed down premises, mainly hotels, but again, this added to stay and created a bit of intrigue as to why there was such a decline in the area
Matress wasnt the tickest which made it quite uncomfortable

Clean and comfortable room with a bathtub in the bathroom.
No elevator. Limited choices for meals.

This resort is perfect. The staff were so friendly and kind. The room was perfectly clean and so cozy, and we had a lovely view of the trees. We really enjoyed the sounds of the rain and bird song. The location of the resort is great as it's within walking distance of Singheungsa Temple and one of the National Park entrances. There are also convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. We can't wait to stay there again when we revisit Seoraksan National Park.
No complaints at all. It was perfect.

the location was perfect near the park entrance ( not even 5 minutes by bus) and the staff were very nice and flexible and helpful.
and the apartment had a microwave and watercooker which was pleasant.
that the bed was a very thin matras on the floor and the floor was heated while I was too hot. in the end I moved my bed to the living room where it was not heated.
also the airco is a mystery how to make it work, in two nights I didn't succeed.
positive note: the owner provided me with an extraatras after I asked and this was no problem. als I didn't mind sleeping on the floor because it was very very clean.

Excellent location. Neat and clean hotel! Everything you need they have.
Nothing!

The small kitchen was good, and close to the park

The staff were so so helpful! They were easy to communicate with as an individual with little korean skills, and were so quick and keen to help in any way possible.

the building was a little dated but clean and well maintained with good self catering facilities. not particularly glamorous but good value
it was a bit tired and basic

staff were friendly. rooms were clean. bus stop is just outside, entrance to seoraksan is only 2 bus stops away (10min). 7-11 is just outside. only one restaurant operating for meals. however if you are going to seoraksan, there’s plenty of restaurant options at the base of the mountain.
the restaurant outside doesn’t allow solo diners. hence I had to order 2 portions. owner even wanted to chase me away but hotel staff happened to dine at the same time as me and managed to convince restaurant owner to let me eat, otherwise I wouldn’t have any options for food.

Stayed here for 2 nights when visiting Seoraksan. It's about a 25min walk to the main entrance to the park so handy if you don't want to stay in Sokcho and have to deal with the bus in the morning. The hotel itself is quite basic and tired but clean has everything you need including a fully equipped kitchenette. If you want to hang out in the hotel, probably not great but we were using just as a place to sleep so perfectly adequate. It was absolutely dead when we stayed in Oct 22, including no-one to check us in when we arrived which was a little frustrating. The staff don't speak any English but we managed to communicate fine using our respective translator apps. There's a convenience store 1min walk away which became a lifesaver as the restaurants nearby weren't really open, or if they were open had stopped serving food by 7.30pm.
It needs a shower curtain in the bathroom to stop the bathroom floor from flooding.

Excellent location - right near the park entrance!
No Western style beds. Thin comforter on the floor used as a mattress. While the young kids loved it, it was uncomfortable for arthritic hips and spine. We killed 2 roaches - one walking across the shelf below the tv and the other in the bathroom. Knowing that there were roaches running around made it even freakier sleeping on the floor.

We love the place. Although the operators can't speak English, we managed well with Google translate. They were really helpful. The apartment was extremely clean and well-equipped. We could buy foodstuff from a 7Eleven nearby. There are restaurants located just around the corner. It's also located 1.8km away from the Seorakdong entrance. You could literally walk there. If you choose not to, you could take a city bus 7 to the park from a nearby bus stop.
Nothing we didn't like. The heated floor was great but perhaps a bit too hot for some. It kept the apartment well heated though.

Great location, walking distance to Seoraksan Park (which is why you're reading this review, right?) and next to a solid barbeque restaurant.
The motel is modest (some paint is peeling off), but is warm and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The owner was really nice! He allowed me to check in a couple of hours earlier than scheduled which was a huge bonus. He also did my laundry and woke up extremely early to accommodate my early check out to store my luggage as I rushed to catch the sunrise at Seoraksan. It's 30 minutes by foot to the entrance of the national park and there are a couple of restaurants nearby to grab a bite but they close fairly early. There is a 7-11 less than a 5 minutes' walk away. My room was well equipped and I enjoyed my first time sleeping in such a comfortable futon mattress.

Amazing hotel with extremely lovely and helpful staff. They helped us with everything we needed and went the extra mile.
Super clean, neat and comfortable. Kitchen was perfect for small family.
Good restaurants and convenience store are within a few metres. Highly recommend staying here to be within walking distance to the national park.
Nothing!

Extremely friendly staff. They helped us book bus tickets and taxi !

the location
the futon beds which were no more than a blanket
4.1
The Hotel is very close to the Seoraksan National Park Entrance. The owner was even so kind to give us tickets to the park. Our room had been upgraded to include a bed, but there was still the option to use futons and sleep on the heated floor. The price was very good.
The Hotel is not the newest building so some typical signs of wear are to be expected.

excellenct location in walking distance of the national park. very friendly owner. Great value for money.
There is a 7 eleven and a few restaurants closeby.
4.1
The staff was friendly. We were provided with the room upgrade without extra fee. There was everything we needed in the apartment. The hotel is not far from the Seoraksan National Park, so it was comfortable to start hike from there.
The furniture looks a little old.
