Great hotel, rubbish location

The room was extremely modern and the price was exceptional. I think it was the quickest we've ever had our room cleaned - we nipped out to the shops for 15 minutes and the room had been fully cleaned with towels. No complaints!

The woman who checked us in behind the desk was a little rude to us and the customer in front about parking, so perhaps the hotel should just share information on what to do with parking before we arrive instead of getting annoyed when people ask. I checked on here and my emails and there was no information. Also worth noting that a taxi driver told me we were staying in the worst part of Calgary and this was apparent - I wouldn't walk around there in the dark because there's thieves and drug addicts in the area. We were even told that the apartments nearby were being purchased and put on the market 1 month after due to people getting mugged. So I wouldn't travel and stay here alone.

Great spot for a holiday in Calgary. Close to many attractions.

The hotel was very secure. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.

Sehr feines, modernes und extrem sauberes Hotel. Wir waren extrem positiv überrascht über den tollen Service und für uns mit dem Mietwagen auch eine perfekte Lage nicht direkt in der Innenstadt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Transfermöglichkeiten zum Flughafen nach Calgary. Essensangebot in der Nähe, wenn man kein Asiatisch mag. Klassisches Cafe das fehlt am Nachmittag.

great hotel

We booked this hotel for 2 nights after landing in Calgary from a london flight. Wanted comfort, cleanliness and quiet. This hotel gave us all three and loved using the gym too. Also used the 2 restaurants in the hotel for breakfast and dinner and both exceptional. Lots of space in the room. Blackout blinds were great.

Not really to fault of the hotel, but walking around the area close by didn't feel safe as a woman. Think this is a common problem in this area.

Tolle Unterkunft mit moderner Ausstattung

Zimmer sehr modern ausgestattet. Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Schön gelegen. Wunderbare Bakery diagonal gegenüber.

Kostenloses Wasser im Zimmer hat gefehlt. WC-Papier Qualität dürfte eindeutig besser sein.

Excellent alternative for expensive downtown hotels

Very nice hotel with (public) underground parking. Fairly sized rooms with all the amenities, very nice lobby with games available and even a pool table.

Although only a short walk to downtown, the area has quite some homeless roaming around. Never bothered by them but walking back late at night can feel a bit uncomfortable.

Beautiful hotel, blind designer should be fired!

This was a beautiful and modern property overlooking the river. Amazing facilities and beautiful lobby with little touches like shop on-site and business lounge area make it a great option

It would have been perfect except for the poor design on the blinds in the room, there was a large gap in the middle which meant a large beam of sun hit me in the eyes every morning at 5am /-:

I knew I had picked a fantastic hotel when I was greeted by the friendly concierge who subsequently provided restaurant recommendations. Alt Hotel is in a great location in the up-and-coming East Village neighborhood of Calgary, close to the beautiful RiverWalk and the quirky neighborhood of Inglewood. I loved the hotel's digital fixtures, automated features, modern design, and overall comfort. Fantastic Canadian hospitality! And as a bonus, if you want to have some of the best cocktails you'll ever drink, walk over to a place called Standing Room Only Cocktail bar nearby. Would love to stay at Alt Hotel again.

I'm satisfied with this hotel and I would come back.

The location was great and the facilities were excellent. The bed was really comfortable.

Two queen bedrooms weren't available when I had to book this hotel as an alternative but I could switch a king room to two queens later. I wish there were a small fridge and a microwave in the room.

only worth it in summer or for business

very close to everything and clean

we stayed for 6 nights and yes it is close to everything but for the price we paid for a really small room… I’m not sure if I can say it was worth it … especially in the winter when it’s too cold to walk anywhere …it looked like most people stayed there for business. When you’re in your room you can hear people in the hallway very clearly

Great stay, wish it was longer

Lovely comfortable room with floor to ceiling windows and touch screen lighting, blinds etc. Room was spotless and quiet, great shower. Close to everything downtown Calgary has to offer.

Quiet despite being right downtown. Close and convenient to amazing food, coffee and activities.

Parking is expensive, but not outrageous considering it’s right downtown.
