Overall great quiet location right on the lake! There isn’t a hot tub on the property (which I thought there was based on the posting). WiFi doesn’t work so plan on using data. Kitchen was lacking some basics like salt. It was

The property is lovely. Being right on the lake is wonderful, we had bonfires and used the canoe, the lake is clean. It's in a quiet neighborhood with close by amenities. The unit, house is old, but we love that old charm and it was clean. Our onsite host Roshon was very nice and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back to visit our daughter and would stay there again!

Really confusing check in system - with 2 apparent locks, but only one lock being used. I was told someone would be there to check me in and she just wasn't available, despite many messages. So we just were mostly on our own. She did eventually come help us out a bit. Bottom line, be prepared to just kind of figure things out yourself.
The listing promises cable and streaming. There was none of that. And not even the basic channels worked. I did point that out to the woman helping us and eventually she brought us a brand new Firestick that we had to set up.
Other than that - it was a lovely stay. Really. The water is very accessible and there were plenty of water toys. Very easy access to the Lakewood mall. Lovely.

I came from Texas where air conditioning is a necessity. So you can imagine how felt when I finally was able to find my room was in town for a wedding. I did not know that most places did not have air conditioning.

It doesn't get any better than this spot!

Beautiful location on a pristine for an exceptionally reasonable price. The only downside is that the access instructions and Wi-Fi instructions were not accurate or current. They described a lock box with keys when it was actually a keyless entry. The Wi-Fi usernames were listed times five but none of them matched. So we just used our data, otherwise I would stay here anytime I’m up here to visit family.

I enjoyed my stay, my room was clean and the view of the lake from my window was beautiful. The property was quiet and peaceful. Everything I needed was available.

We needed a home base while visiting adult children in the PNW. The location is very accessible to highways. The beauty of this place is hard to describe. The lake and terraces leading away from this classic apartment building are stunning. Wonderful small touches made us feel welcomed. Nice shampoos and towels. A new sponge for doing dishes. A well equipped kitchen. And a comfy futon to lay down on in the evening to watch the playoffs. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Grounds are lovely, our unit was clean & well appointed - rustic in look but with upgrades for comfort, esp. Kitchen & bath.

I think some addition to detail could be used to place this property on top.
I provided some input to host that was professionally addressed and for that I appreciate the effort of the host.
Could be a 5*** with a bit more attention and with clearer instructions on operations. Small changes to include water pressure and temp of water in kitchen.
Host was very receptive and helpful.

The property is old, in need of work. Very small bathroom and bedroom. Very thin walls, nice kitchen and living room was ok.

One I lived in Washington my whole life I've never would have thought that Lakewood had that little honeycomb hideaway . I would love to visit again in the warmer season to have access to that beautiful lake I've recently moved to Texas and Texas has absolutely no water. I said all that to say you get the total ambiance of the Great Northwest at this property The people leave you alone it's a great spot for writing . Or finding solitude for self-care I enjoyed my stay! I would recommend this to anyone . Five stars hands down if you like peace and quiet

We needed a place to stay while visiting family in the area and hotels were way too expensive. This served its purpose well but a few things could be improved. The place had an odd smell to it; perhaps because it’s old and it may sit empty for long periods of time. The entrance is around back and up outside stairs- this needs to be explained in the ad. It was very difficult to find in the dark and once we did we couldn’t get in with the code provided. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the property manager to arrive
- we were given the wrong code.
Also, the furniture is old and very uncomfortable, except
for the recliner which was ok. The mattress was also very uncomfortable.
Even with all these complaints, the place is in a great location and has some charm to it.
The property manager did get quarters to me in a very timely manner and provided laundry detergent which I thought was very nice!

We loved being able to sit by the lake and enjoy all the amenities included. Was close enough to the Tacoma dome we had no problems attending a concert during our stay and enjoyed the quiet later back neighborhood after

Nestled in an upscale neighborhood in the giant evergreens and on a beautiful lake. Enjoyed the kayak rides several times. Very close to multiple shopping opportunities at Town Center. Kitchen fully stocked

When we pulled up we were greeted by the care taker who showed us the property and what it had to offer. Was a great get away for my brothers wedding.

Have stayed their two previous summers and were quite satisfied. But this summer stayed in different unit and was not impressed. Floors needed sanding and woodwork replaced or painted. Also Ron told us this year we could not have our son and family visit us as we did previous two summers. New policy. But then other unit had guests allowed. Double standard.

This is our return stay at this Inn. This one bedroom was spacious for two people. Nice accomodations and view of the lake.

We were greeted by Ron the manager which was very attentive, and his hospitality was wonderful during our stay. I loved all the flowers that were around the building which made it homey. The lake view was beautiful and cool. It was great to have use of the canoe and kayaks too. We have never stayed at a lake house before, so it was a great treat. The surrounding area shopping mall has everything you need.

I was in town for my grandson’s track meet and the track was just 2 miles away. It was a perfect spot to come back to and relax. The lake is so beautiful and my grandson enjoyed the giant lawn chess and even taught his grandma how to play chess. If I am ever back in Tacoma, I would certainly love to stay here again.

Immediately felt very much at home. Ron, the onsite host, was very quick to take care of any needs...and he works tirelessly at maintaining the outdoor landscape and amenities.

In town to see our kids and granddaughter for Easter. This place on the lake was perfect! Easy access, quiet location, and beautiful lakefront property. If we head back to Washington before our son gets out of the military, we will look to stay here first!

We loved at our stay at Dekoven Inn! The lakeside views and sunsets were so beautiful. The property was very whimsical with metal art sculptures around, a giant chess set , a snake made out of rocks and metal , and more. Dekoven Inn was very close to shopping near Lakewood Towne Center , and a short drive to Federal Way, Tacoma, or Seattle. (less than an hour) This trip we had tickets to see the Seahawks and the Kraken. The apartment was cute, cozy, and warm and the bed was very comfortable! We definitely want to come back when it’s warmer to take advantage of the kayaks and canoes by the lake. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven with us! We love the PNW and we will stay here again! (Ron was great! We enjoyed talking to him and he gave great advice about getting to the games and ideas for the surrounding areas.)

Several Do’s and Dont’s on this property. Felt like the manager was “hovering and worrying” the whole stay. I saw him literally yell at a female guest for not putting on her life jacket before checking out the kayaks. She wasn’t even ready to launch yet. After that I avoided him. He obviously has issues and doesn’t like people very much.

Beautiful views. Convenient to everything. We'll stocked. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit Washington.

Years ago I used to live in the neighborhood so I was thrilled to find this property for my "homecoming" visit. Clean, relaxing accommodations, and the bed was very comfortable. Can't beat the lake view!

Very good! Loved antiques. It’s an old plAce so everything is not perfect, but it was safe & peaceful. Area shared with full time tenants. No problem for us.

What made the stay worth while was the lake and amenities that went with it. My daughter loved to swim in the lake and play on the lily pad. We used the canoes once, there were so many spiders inside that it freaked us out a bit. We thought we chased them all away before we went into the water, but we didn't. The paddle boards were cool as well. My daughter enjoyed playing checkers with the chess set, and doing gymnastics on the grassy area. The view at the property is amazing. We went to Washington when the temprature was 93 degrees and unfortunatly the VRBO didn't have air conditioning. That was unfortunate. Other than that, the sweet had everything we needed.

I love this place and would stay again.
What’s not to love about this place? It’s in front of a beautiful lake, we had access to the grounds (there’s a lot of sitting area) and use of the kayak, paddleboard, etc. and the life vests. The unit and beddings were clean and had the basic things we needed (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc). All though there are a few units (long term residents and short term renters) it was quiet at night. It’s conveniently close to a grocery store and restaurants.
My husband and I are planning to come back next summer to enjoy more of the place — like use the barbecue grill and maybe kayak further into the lake.
I highly recommend this place!

This apartment is in a lovely setting. While the property itself is older, it has most of what you need for a short or long term stay. I appreciated the comfort of the bed; however, the lack of blackout curtains made sleeping when the sun comes up at 5AM difficult.
