Lovely views from the pool; handy for visiting Avo and Oliveiro Do Hospital.
Rather tired building; comfortable but ready for modernisation. Food was disappointing.

Loved the pool and surrounding vineyard. Staff were also awesome.
The only comment is the beds are a little on the firm side.

We were well looked after by the dining room staff. The food was good but not exceptional. The wines were very good.
Location was a little out of the way and, at first, difficult to find.

Really nice location and hotel.
The staff was really lovely and the hotel and decor amazing.
Stunning views!
The Pool was not open when I was there, which was a bit disappointing.
There was no tea/coffee with water cattle in the room which I thought was a shame.

Spacious, historical building.
Not very organised. There may be a lot of noise in case of an event happening (there was a baptism with music until late in front of our room). Some parts of the property (like the game room) appear incomplete.

The hotel is very pretty. Great surroundings & the pool is great. It was a little busy at the pool but still nice. The rooms are simple but clean. Staff was very helpful & good.
Wifi bad :(

Loved the room and the staff. They went above and beyond. Breakfast had a lot of choices and dinner was special every night. I even got a chance to use the pool which was very refreshing on a hot day.
Difficult to get to the pool. There's no easy route.

Beautiful hotel located in an historic building wonderfully refurbished. The room was amazing, spacious and comfortable with an astonishing view from the balcony. The staff was helpful and breakfast was delicious. A beautiful place for those who seek silence, quietness and rest. To be back with more time to enjoy the surroundings.
Nothing. Everything was as expected

This was a very unconventional stay, as the place where we slept was a touristic attraction on itself. The convent is huge and very interesting to explore, with even a church inside. The restaurant is very good, and the staff was very accommodating even when we arrived at late hours they still provided a great dinner. Breakfast is tasty, varied and in good portion. The pools are big and they also have a lot of terraces where you can just hang out and take in the fantastic view. Located near a lot of interesting places to visit, but you must have a car.
The location was a little hard to find. Once found, however, no issues. Also, the pools were not clean (a lot of floating insects) but summer was way over, so we thought it was normal.

The location with the mountain view was gorgeous. The pool area was lovely and the property itself was a pleasure to walk through with vineyards and roses. The rooms were very ample in size and included a balcony overlooking the beautiful landscape.
Although the location was gorgeous it was a little isolated so that you were less likely to want to go out in the evening. Given this, we purchased the dinner, which was at a reasonable price, but a little underwhelming. The breakfast was good.

Hotel very comfortable but keeping the atmosphere from the ancient monastery. The place is quiet and beautiful, ideal for a relaxing stay, where you can enjoy the great swimming pool. The staff was very welcoming
It would be nice to have a small bar near the pool

A very interesting and unique property in rural Portugal. Wonderfully renovated and lots to explore around the property. AC worked well, it was quiet, and a good breakfast.
A list of restaurants for the area as dining is difficult to find. They recommended one but it was closed and hours of operation were difficult to find. Front desk could be a bit more attentive. Also, the morning coffee was not good in the breakfast and a coffee machine would be appreciated.
7.0
The convent architecture was preserved and even some decoration from its times was reused.
The dinners were good value for money, even though there were few choices every time. The waiter at dinners (a young man) was very helpful.
There could be more chairs and umbrellas near the pool. The pool bar was closed. The hotel seemed slightly under staffed.
7.0
- Very nice staff. Eager to please.
- Nice restaurant recommendations.
- Beautiful building and architecture of the rooms.
- Great swimming pool.
- Quiet place and hotel.
- Romantic place.
- Bathroom facilities are out-dated: water taps and ceramics not updated. Cortain on the bathtub was old and spent.
- Hair dryer too old.
- Breakfast was basic. Quality of products was lower than expected.
- Bedroom was very simple. No mini bar.
- We had to walk from the swimming pool to the bar to be served. Very inconvenient.
- Hotel felt empty and missing some eminities. Probably the pandemic is impacting the budget.
