We loved this cute little home away from home. It was so lovely and perfect for our little pup. The entire backyard was gated and a huge meadow in the back to run and play in. WiFi works great which was a huge help since there is no cell service in the town of Arnold. We are booking this home again for sure!

The place was great. Started off with a slow start because it was obvious the cleaning crew hadn’t been there. A tip was left out for them and the beds weren’t made. The place was extremely hot as well and took a long time to cool down. The air conditioner wouldn’t stay at the set degree. It felt as if the thermometer was being controlled by an smartphone other than that and after everything got situated it was overall a great stay. Hot at times (we were there during a heat wave) but overall the property was amazing. The backyard was great for our family and our dog. Great location to Arnold. I recommend this place to stay

Amazing stay! We loved the deck, the meadow, the cozy cabin, the friendly neighbors, the cute restaurants, the fact our pup could join us and the smell of pine. Would absolutely stay again.

My family and I visited this cabin for the second time. It's a great place for a family group, especially if you have dogs. There's an enclosed yard, a great deck, and access to an open meadow. It's close to the grocery store for convenience and also just a quick drive to Calaveras Big Trees and a great little lake for swimming and fishing. There's also air conditioning that actually works and ceiling fans, which are all so important in the hot months. The beds are very firm, which isn't really my cup of tea, but not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of if you have a very strong preference.

We were fortunate to be able to grab this cabin for kids (4 under 11y) spring break. We had a good snowfall with lots of snow fun. The view from the living room is beautiful when the field is covered in snow, this was my main reason for choosing this home, it didn't disappoint. House is fully stocked with all your cooking needs for large families, spices, and some canned goods, a ton of plates, cups, and glassware. Couldn't figure out coffee pot, but they have a Keurig so bring pods (expensive at store). Grocery store right down the road was perfect, pricey, but has everything you need. Kids got to use VHS for first time and they got a kick out of waiting for rewinding. They have a super mini pool table w/ decent sized loft. They have a couple of older board games and puzzles located in a chest. Plenty of exercise equipment to do a little hitt routine, plenty of storage and cleaning supplies, which was helpful with the snow gear. The fire pit came in super handy outside, we got to huddle around it perfectly and even roasted marshmallows. Plenty of outside seating and the view of the meadow was great with and without snow. Our kid forgot their Nintendo Switch under a pillow after we left and the house contact let us know they would ship it out the next business day, this was the cherry on top of our stay. This is a great stay for lots of kids and dog, which they had a great fenced off back area that helps contain them all safely away from the Main Street and huge meadow. This home needs a little bit of improvements with hot water, access to meadow, need for generator if power gets out, and access to snow removal equipment, but nothing that's not an easy fix for next visit, otherwise it would have been 5 stars! You should snatch this gem up when you are looking for a cabin to stay in at Arnold with a big family. It's a great location to the town. I would stay here again!

The cabin was fantastic but dealing with Vacas was not helpful i

We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The house was perfect for our needs and had all the necessary amenities. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. We’ll definitely return, hopefully to enjoy a meadow full of snow next time!! Thank you!

Would have been nice if they shoveled snow the front steps, or at least left us a snow shovel!

Great little cabin for a family ski weekend. We had four young kids and it was a great setup with a fenced in yard for the kids to play. Also, we really appreciated the baby gate to keep the youngest from climbing the stairs. Clean, good location, and stocked with everything we needed for the weekend.

We enjoyed our stay in this house and the getaway to Arnold and Bear Valley. House had everything we needed and including our dog was wonderful.

Exactly as advertised. Highly recommend.

We visited Arnold to remember our youngest son and brother, gone two years now. 12/05/21. We had many family memories in that area. The home was a delight. It was comfortable and comforting. We loved everything about it- From the modern conveniences to the rustic decor and furnishings. The home is fully stocked with everything we needed, and more.
We loved the high ceilings and large windows that brought in sunshine and views of the peaceful tree lined meadow.
We didn’t get to use the wonderful patio or yard due to rainy and damp weather. The central location was perfect for running to the market, dining out, and traveling to Columbia and Calaveras State Parks, Bear Valley and the snow. Unfortunately, the road was closed before Alpine Lake.
We will definitely return on an annual basis to this little bit of heaven in the Sierras.

Nice and open. It is defintely dated but fits the mountain cabin experience.

Great location. Close enough to restaurant's and easy to find

This home had a great amount of space and was very clean. There is also a very nice fenced in backyard that isn't shown in the photos where you can let your dog out without worry.
There is a larger meadow past the backyard that is amazing for your dog to run around at. Really well shaded most of the day.
The air conditioning is incredibly strong. Came during a heat wave and it kept up easily with the 95 degree weather.
There is a large grocery story a half mile away that is well stocked with anything you will need. The home itself had a full stocked kitchen.
Overall, a great stay! Would happily come again.

Spacious and very comfortable! We make it a tradition to stay at this home every time we come up to Arnold. The kids love all the VHS and talk about watching movies like the “old days.” I especially like all the nice neighbors very friendly folks.
4.7
Only complaint we would have has nothing to do with the property. It was nice and located by a meadow. But we did have a delay from getting into the house due to late cleaning. About 2 hours. We were not offered in compensation. When you are only stay the weekend that’s a long time.

We are amazed with the cleanliness of the place, very homey. It’s our first time to stay here, it is truly a comfortable stay. My kids love the place, very close to Splicer Park.
Everything you’ll need in the kitchen is there. Pots/pans/kettle/utensils/etc…
Thank you!

We loved the shared space that was as big and airy as it was cozy. The location was perfect, even during such a rainy week. We enjoyed Big Trees, caving, snowboarding, and exploring both Arnold and Murphys. Perfect.

This cabin is in the perfect location for easy access to town amenities while still feeling like you're away from it all. It was a short drive to White Pines Lake and Calaveras Big Trees and was also an easy drive to Columbia State Park . My family of 7, plus our 2 small dogs, had plenty of space for all our needs. The kids loved the small pool table and access to the meadow. Some of the pots and pans were put away dirty, probably by the previous renters, so that was a little frustrating, but not a big deal. We just washed them before cooking. Overall, it was a great place and we'd happily return again on our next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The location is very, very convenient but it feels secluded with a nice view of a meadow in the back. There are other homes nearby, but it still felt like a true get away. One thing that would have made it better – more comfortable beds. They were too firm for my liking but that is a personal preference. The place was clean and there is ample seating for all. The upstairs bathroom is much larger in person than in the photos. We will return.

We enjoyed our stay. It had all the amenities that was in the listing. The location was perfect for us and it was so quiet and peaceful.
We would have liked to been able to use the BBQ but there was not enough propane. Other than that we had a great time and would stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Bears Meadow. The house is very nice inside and the beds were very comfortable. One of the highlights was having morning coffee on the desk overlooking the meadow and listening to the birds singing!

This property was wonderfully located, to murpheys, big trees, columbia and moaning caverns. Very well appointed, plenty of plates, cups and the pots and pans were pc. Very nice fenced yard for your pooches and kids. Plenty of beds. Best part I got to show the kids my skills with a vhs...they had no idea how to work it. Thank you!

We are 2 families (4 adults and 4 kids 4yo-9yo) and stayed at this house for 3 nights. The location is awesome! close to markets, hiking trails, and lakes. It has a big fenced yard that opens into a large open meadow and it's perfect for our dog to free roam. It's quiet with friendly neighbors. We went during the heatwave but there is AC! The house was very clean during check-in and well stocked with supplies! Can't wait to come back again!

Terrific space and views , well equipped with everything we needed. We will be back!!

Nice for a family, kitchen equipped with all the essentials. Enough to sleep 8 people and nice convenient location.

Coffee maker didn’t pump water. My main concern was being charged high fees by Expedia and VRBO in addition to payment of advertised cost. Seems like too many fees. A refund seems in order for one of these. As it stands I will not use Expedia again due to these hidden charges.

This place is fabulous. Four very comfortable quen beds in total was more than enough to sleep our party. The mini pool table was a hit and hosted many tournaments. The fenced yard was perfect for our 11 pound pup. Thank you for the stay!

It was good - highlight was the hot tub.

Wonderful cozy cabin
My husband and I along with our 9 year old Dalmatian enjoyed the holiday weekend at Bear Meadows. Loved the yard and walking in the meadow.

Lovely Home with Meadow Access
This cabin was just what we were looking for - cozy and right next to a snowy meadow. It was full of amenities and was very clean. The only downsides were that the cable was not working and that the snow was not adequately cleared from the entryway. Getting to the front door was difficult - especially with luggage. Assuming those two issues were resolved, my family would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Cozy Cabin.

Nice Getaway
Our family really enjoyed their stay, the lay out of the home was very open and spacious. Kitchen well stocked.. Enjoyed having a deck to sit out on. The home location was close to services ie grocery store, close to Big Trees State Park. The check out time seems a little early. The home was fairly clean except for some dusty surfaces(ie shelves in wine glass case)noted that air filter was way over due to be changed, and there was a ring around tub.
