WHAT’S NEARBY

We enjoyed our stay and have been taking about coming back again in the future. The only complaint we had was we couldn’t figure out how to turn pool lights on at night and the pool wasn’t clean

Master bedroom bed was cushy. Loved the couches to relax on at night while watching some Netflix. The large kitchen island is amazing for setting up everything food/drink wise and the big dining table was great as well. The views are amazing! Don't forget to walk down the little path near the front door. There's a great spot to sit and has a great view. It was a little cold for the pool but we used it anyway and it has a good deep end (6ft). The house is in a great private area too! Will definitely be back at some point!

We stay here every year. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend with friends or family. The beds are so comfortable I sleep better than at home! And you seriously can’t beat the view.

Views are incredible. House is on top of mountain with gradual drop offs on three sides. Can see Canyon Lake and hill country for miles. Very private. Pool is good. And two patios are spacious.
House clean and comfortable. House and grounds are older style, but very homey. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Grill newer and worked great. Pool was a little dirty with pollen dust, when arrived, but Vacasa was very responsive and quick to respond with pool cleaner the next day. We very much enjoyed our 5 day stay. We look forward to returning.

The view did not disappoint. Nice and secluded and the pool area was nice.

House is in serious need of updates but the location/view was great. Not a great choice for children as some of of the needed updates are safety issues. Nails sticking out of floor in entryway and missing kitchen drawers have sharp knives exposed.

Everything was wonderful. The views are stunning. Our family I very large so finding a place where everyone can sleep comfortable was wonderful. The primary suite was colossal and a perfect retreat for my 87 year old mother in law.
We would recommend providing a first aid kit but if not next time we will bring our own! Thank you for this lovely experience!

Pool was not clean great. Hot tub doesn't work. Beds were completely horrible, rather slept on the couch instead. Some beds didn't have clean sheets on it. I had to wash them before. The floors weren't cleaned/dishes in dishwasher from guest before weren't done. Overall I would never stay here! The communication to host was very slow.

Clean with beautiful views. Great pool and outside areas.

A little outdated. Kitchen was not equipped with a can opener or even one cookie tray/flat pan for using in oven.
Also, upstairs didn’t cool very well.
But overall good.
Thank you.

Million dollar property only because of the fabulous view of Canyon Lake and Dam. House needs some loving repairs and safety fixes.
1. Front door does not lock easily from the inside
2. Kitchen is ill-equipped. Only 6 coffee cups, needs a Keurig coffee maker, no casserole dishes, no ice maker(there but not working), broke front on drawer.
3. Pool and hot tub had algae issue when we got there. Pool service came next day and cleaned it.
4. Entire patio and pool surround is a little precarious when trying to walk around. Stones have shifted and cracked making it unlevel. Kind of unsafe for small children and seniors. Needs to be railed 100% around to prevent falling of ledge on left side.
5. Ceiling fans in some areas need to be replaced or at least service since they do not work.
6. There are so many light switches. They need to be labeled so you know which switch turns on what light or fan.
7. The gas grill needs to be replaced. It was dirty and unusable because both propane tanks were empty.
Even though the house was not up to our usual standards(we have used VRBO for 10+ yrs), we enjoyed our stay because of the view/location.

The views are beautiful! Nice pool.

House was beautiful and view amazing. Our first day pool guys came to clean it .. a notice would have been nice plus they shocked it so we left for the day.
Some updates needed and small maintenance..would have been amazing at night if pool lights worked and the side deck/ sidewalk had some sorts of path lights ..they were there just didn't work .
Kitchen great space and plenty room for meals prep etc..
I would also start putting some deer feed out it would be so beautiful to have them at the master br window.
Top room with most beds gets super hott but fans were throughout the house. Overall a great place to relax with your family. Nice pool and plenty room .

For future guests reserving this property it is great size, beds are comfortable and the nostalgia is combined with modern conveniences like the kitchen, lots of space, plenty of seating inside and out and the views are amazing. Don't expect much communication from the manager or ability to reach them if there is a concern. Personal recommendations are being sent directly to the property's owner.

The house was very spacious and the view was amazing. We enjoyed the pool it was awesome!! Our only complaint was there were no big pots or pans to cook with. We cooked 90% of the meals and felt we didn’t have basic stuff to use. Also the room with the twin beds was very warm even at night. Our family really enjoyed the house!

Enjoyed the place.. attic space for sleeping is weirdly nice. Would have enjoyed a working hot water jacuzzi as the pool was very cold but it was mentioned in the description. Would definitely recommend.

The photos do not do this beautiful home justice! Stunning views and a spacious home. We celebrated a bachelorette party with 7 girls and had plenty of room to add more people if needed. The shower upstairs was having some issues draining but we all used the massive master bathroom with separate shower and tub to get ready when needed. The pool overlooks the lake to one side and the hill county town to the other. The pool was clean and well maintained as well.

The house and view is beautiful. It needs a little updating but still awesome. There was an issue with the cleanliness in one room but as soon as I contacted vacasa they were very prompt about taking care of the situation and gave me a $450 refund. For that I will continue to use them for my vacation rental needs. Very pleased. Thanks vacasa.

Do not attempt pulling a boat into the driveway. That should be mentioned as you are vacationing on a lake. House had a horrible smell, I believe there was a dead mouse in the laundry room. House is really outdated. One room had no A/C and was listed as sleeping room

We had a great anniversary/family vacation… The house is very private with an amazing view. Reading the reviews we thought the road to the house would be small and creepy the way it was described but no it wasn’t we saw deers and the view driving to the top was great to see. The house was fully equipped, the pool was perfect for my kids (ages 8 & 9), we enjoyed playing ping pong and monopoly. From all the vacation home we stayed in we will definitely stay in this one again.

Property was very outdated but spacious and charming. Loved the view from the poolside and the patio. Very peaceful and secluded on one of the highest hilltops overlooking the whole town including the lake. Going up and down the hill in vehicle was a little scary because the road is very narrow but we encountered very few vehicles going back and forth and everyone was cautious.

This place has great views and it was clean. It also had plenty of space for 9 people. However, the beds were extremely uncomfortable that’s why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.
