About this house rental
Our cottage with 120 sqm living space and large garden is suitable for up to 6 people and at least one toddler. It offers everything for your perfect vacation. Enjoy nature and peace, yet centrally located, it is the ideal starting point for nice excursions. For example, the hedge trail leads past your property. In the immediate vicinity is the Eifelsteig and invites you to elebnisreichen walks. In April, the wild daffodils bloom and turn whole valleys into bright yellow. They do not only enchant nature lovers.
Our kitchen has an electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. For larger supplies is in the basement also a large freezer available. A microwave, filter coffee maker, egg cooker, toaster and blender complete the kitchen inventory. There is also a fondue set, bakeware and a small supply of spices, salt, sugar and flour.
Even if you are vacationing, an iron and ironing board and a washing machine are sometimes helpful.
In the comfortably furnished living area, a large window front allows the view over the terrace into the nature.
In addition to flat screen satellite TV, there is a DVD recorder and a stereo.
The property is surrounded by a 3 meter high beech hedge. From the terrace you look into the spacious garden with fir trees, bushes and shrubs.
In summer, there are comfortable chairs and a wheelchair with cushions, a table, a parasol and a Weber charcoal grill available.
There is room for your car in the garage. In bad weather the table tennis table can be used in the garage.
There are 3 bikes a unicycle and garden toys available.
The tiled fireplace (wood optional) provides cozy warmth.
Three bedrooms can accommodate 5 beds, a crib and a folding bed.
Two bathrooms on two floors are equipped with bath, sink and toilet or shower sink and toilet.
In the basement there is a Finnish sauna for at least three people. The adjacent bathroom with whirlpool, shower and cold water shower, as well as the direct exit into the sheltered garden allow a relaxed sauna.

Sehr nette Vermieter. Schönes Haus, eher rustikale Einrichtung aber alles vorhanden was wir benötigt haben. Tolle Umgebung mitten in der Natur. Kinderspielplatz in der Nähe.

Prima huis, maar niet nog een keer
Het huis beviel prima. Jammer dat er voor zoveel dingen extra betaald moet worden: om in het bubbelbad te kunnen, om de open haard te gebruiken, voor de sauna. Voelt een beetje goedkoop, het huisje was al duur genoeg.
Verder is Höfen klein en stil met verrekte weinig te doen. Ik zou er niet nog eens naar toe gaan, zeker niet in het laagseizoen als alles dicht is.

Besser geht nicht!
So macht es einfach nur Spaß! Vor Reiseantritt ein sehr angenehmes Telefon mit Frau Jakobs geführt, in dem sie alles rund um den Aufenthalt im Haus erklärt hat.
Angekommen im Haus nach dem ersten Durchgang haben wir uns in einem schönen gepflegten Haus wiedergefunden, welches keine Wünsche offen lässt. Küche komplett ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht, der Garten und Hecke super gepflegt, der Keller mit Sauna und Whirlpoolbadewanne in tollem Zustand. Es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte Mal da.

Ein Haus zum Entspannen
Wir haben vier Tage in diesem Haus sehr genossen.
Gerne nutzten wir die Sauna, und den Whirlpool. Das trug zur wohltuenden Entspannung bei.
Zur Information möchten wir mitteilen, dass man Kleingeld (Münzen)für die Sauna parat halten sollte, da man 6 Euro in den dafür angebrachten Münzkasten werfen muss.
Frau Jakobs war sehr freundlich..auch als wir ihr mitteilen mussten, dass unser kleiner Welpe einen kleinen „Schaden“ angerichtet hat. Den wir natürlich entschädigt haben.
Das Haus liegt ruhig, gemütlich kann man von dort aus den Heckenweg spazieren. Und auch sonst lädt die Umgebung zu ruhigen Spaziergängen ein.
Rundum war es für uns ein wohltuender Aufenthalt.

Einfach Relaxen und Wohlfühlen
Einfach toll! Angefangen von der Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, über den kontaktlosen Check-In über das tolle Haus bis hin zur Lage. Genau das richtige für Ruhe und Erholung. Wir haben uns mit 6 Erwachsenen und einem jungen Schäferhund auf Anhieb super wohlgefühlt und richtig gut erholt. Wird wohl nicht der letzte Besuch im Heckenhaus gewesen sein👍🏻

Gemütlich mit viel Platz und herrlicher Ruhe
Schönes, gemütliches, geräumiges, sauberes Haus mit tollem, großen Garten! Tischtennisplatte, Fahrräder etc. vorhanden. Alle Geräte (Herd, etc.) einwandfrei, WLAN ist Home Office tauglich. Wir (Eltern, 11-Jähriger, Opa, Hund) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können es sehr empfehlen!
Vermieterin sehr kulant bei Bezahlungsmethode während Lockdown.
Bad auf jeder Etage: Keller - neben Whirlpool eine ebenerdige Dusche; EG - WC, Badewanne; OG - WC, Dusche.
Wendeltreppe nur bedingt für Ältere, Kleinkinder und Hunde geeignet. Kein Problem für uns, Opa und Hund bekamen Schlafzimmer im EG.
Sauna 6€, Whirlpool 5€. Waschmaschine laut Vermieterin nach Absprache.
Obere Etage knarzt, kann u.U. Empfindliche in Schlafzimmer EG stören.
Einkaufen z.B. in Rohren oder Imgenbroich. Zu empfehlen: "Alte Molkerei" in Fußreichweite.

Herrlicher Herbst
Wir haben elf sehr schöne Tage im Heckenhaus verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts geangelt und das schöne Dorf Höfen hat uns zu entspannten Wanderung eingeladen.

Ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub
Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen und schönen Urlaub. Vom Haus aus sind unzählige Wanderwege gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Leider schließt der kleine Lebensmittelladen zum 30.09., so dass man dann seine Brötchen von weiter weg holen muss. Der Bäcker im Ort hat nur von Freitag bis Sonntag geöffnet.
Sehr nette und sympathische Vermieterin, welche sich gern um ihre Mieter kümmert und immer ansprechbar ist.

Prachtig uniek rustig gelegen vakantiehuis. Samen met onze 16 jarige kleinzoon een fantastische tijd gehad. Het Heckenhaus is een pareltje....

Gut erholt!
Das Haus ist wie beschrieben. Es war alles sehr sauber und wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Ein paar Restaurants sind ebenfalls in Höfen zu finden, die man fußläufig gut erreichen kann. Nach Monschau geht es runter, wer also mit dem Fahrrad dorthin möchte sollte sich auf eine sehr bergige Rückfahrt gefasst machen, die eine gute Kondition voraussetzt - oder ein E-Bike :-) Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wer Ruhe aus dem hektischen Alltag sucht und gerne spazieren oder wandern geht, ist hier genau richtig. Sehr sauberes gemütliches Haus mit tollem Garten. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und haben uns im Heckenhaus wohl gefühlt. Lieben Dank!

Einmaliges Luxushaus in wunderschöner Umgebung
Ich kann mich nur allen anderen Bewertern anschließen. Das Haus ist fantastisch, sauber und alles was man benötigt ist vorhanden. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und man fühlt sich sofort wie zuhause. Das Haus liegt direkt am Nationalpark der wunderschön ist. Die Eigentümerin, Frau Jakobs, hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und was mir auch gut gefallen hat, dass Frau Jakobs unsere Hunde freundlich begrüßt hat. Denn meistens sind Hunde zwar erlaubt/geduldet, aber mehr auch nicht. Alles in einem haben wir diesen Urlaub sehr genossen. Wenn unsere Gesundheit es zulässt, kommen wir nächstes Jahr wieder.

Wunderschöner Urlaub im Heckenhaus
Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche im Heckenhaus verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Innerhalb weniger Minuten kann man viele Wanderwege erreichen. Die Gastronomie im Dorf ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Die Vermieterin war sehr zuvorkommend. Ein rundherum gelungener Urlaub.

Ideale uitvalsbasis voor een mooie vakantie.
Zo'n compleet vakantiehuis hebben we nog nooit gehad. Hier is werkelijk alles aanwezig wat een mens maar nodig kan hebben. Het huis zelf is ruim en aangenaam met uitstekende bedden. En wat is het hier stil. Overigens is Höfen een zeer aangenaam dorp, waar de hagen echt wel indruk maken. De plaatselijke wandeling is dan ook zeker de moeite. De nabijheid van Monschau, Hellental, Abtei Mariawald, Heimbach enz... met overal prachtige wandelpaden, zorgt voor meer dan voldoende tijdsbesteding. En we mogen zeker ook niet vergeten een pluim te geven aan de supervriendelijke gastvrouw Iris. We komen hier zeker nog terug.

Erholsamer Urlaub in der Eifel
Das Haus ist in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Der Garten ist gepflegt von einer hohen Hecke umgeben und nicht einsehbar. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was es braucht, die Einrichtung ist so gestaltet das man sich wohlfühlen kann. Alles in allem ein Ort wo man die Seele baumeln lassen kann.

De eigenaresse van het Heckenhaus heeft ons (mijn vrouw, onze 2 honden en ik) heel hartelijk ontvangen.Het huis voldoet (meer dan) aan alle eisen. Alles was aanwezig en heel erg schoon en verzorgd.Je kan er goed wandelen en de honden kunnen na een paar honderd meter vrij hun gang gaan. Ook in de door Hecken omgeven tuin was het goed vertoeven.Hofen is een echt forensenplaatsje, maar biedt ook een paar leuke restaurants.Wij zijn vaan plan nog een keer terug te komen.Arend Klinkhamer, Eext

Wij hebben eeen heeel fijn en goed verzorgde mid-week beleefd in het Heckenhaus in Monschau/Hofen.
De eigenaresse van het Heckenhaus heeft ons (mijn vrouw, onze 2 honden en ik) heel hartelijk ontvangen.
Het huis voldoet (meer dan) aan alle eisen. Alles was aanwezig en heel erg schoon en verzorgd.
Je kan er goed wandelen en de honden kunnen na een paar honderd meter vrij hun gang gaan. Ook in de door Hecken omgeven tuin was het goed vertoeven.
Hofen is een echt forensenplaatsje, maar biedt ook een paar leuke restaurants.
Wij zijn vaan plan nog een keer terug te komen.
