We missed some nice chairs to sit on the balcony and some hooks for the bath towels.

it was in a very pretty setting.
the staff were very helpful.
Jacka (hope I spelled that right)came over to Harau Valley to pick us up. another employee Rio spent a considerable amount of time driving us to onward destinations. He explained various things about the places we went which we didn’t know.
nothing really

The location and atmosphere was amazing! So peaceful and beautiful.
The karaoke at a nearby restaurant was very loud until early hours of the morning. But this is a tricky issue to resolve in the community according to the owner.

really nice place, beautifully located in the padi fields nearby the city and beautiful minangkabau house. Michael and the rest of the staf are very helpful and provide for nice atmosphere. I recommend staying here

Absolutely awesome place!
Michael has made this stay even more remarkable. Any questions or need advice, he is very helpful and kind. Thanks Michael 😊
Rio is driving you the highlights in the region, there are too many to put them here.
I'll sure be back soon, reenergize in the nature.

The nice things about this hotel is the beautiful scenery, building and location away from the busy center of town. There is a nice balcony in my room but there are monkeys around the surrounding forest, so you always have to be sure to clean up any food you consume so they don't come to the balcony looking for them.
The staff were very friendly and nice, although there are different crews during the day and night time and I find that they don't all know the same information. Sometimes if I ask the morning staff something the night staff would not know it and would refer me back to the morning crew.
The beds were very soft and uncomfortable. The middle of the bed sinks and doesn't support your weight so I get a backache from sleeping here. I stayed in the large twin room with 2 beds on the top floor of the building. Being that this is a wooden building built in the traditional style, there is a lot of noise from footsteps, from outside and everywhere else in the house because it's not airtight. The room below mine is a large room that is usually booked by a whole family and I can hear the guests talking loudly and even while they are using their bathroom. The breakfast options were also very mediocre, just fried rice, banana pancakes or instant noodles which could be cooked as a soup (mie rebus) or fried noodles (mie goreng). I know this is a pretty standard hotel breakfast options for this part of Indonesia but for a more expensive eco-lodge hotel I was expecting healthier and fresher cooked breakfast options. Before check-in I found a Whastsapp contact number for the hotel so I called it to get directions there as I was travelling by public transport from another city. The man who answered it was helpful and gave me good directions to the hotel. I assumed this was the owner or a staff member who was stationed at the hotel. But then on the morning after I had checked out of the hotel and was already waiting for the bus on the road, the same man and number called to tell me about an important message a travel bus company had left for me the day before. The message was that the bus could not come to pick me up from the hotel as I had asked, so I would have to go to the bus company office. So this caused a lot of confusion for my travel. I don't know why this man could not bother to relay me the time-sensitive message from the bus company the day before so I could have planned an alternative transport. When I asked to talk to him in person in the hotel he told me he would be unable to do that because he was not physically present at the hotel.

nice quiet location
wasn’t clear how to get there and staff didn’t provide much attention or information

situated near the rice paddies, gorgeous views of the canyons and sunsets mixed in with the daily salat makes the stay very scenic. staff spoke little English but very friendly and Jaka was great all around.
WI-FI wasn’t very good at times, spotty, the food was a little underwhelming, and I wish there was more initially offered to guests about things to do around Bukittinggi.

Great location in nature
Completely indifferent staff, worst service ever in my traveling life. Calling it service is absurd. Not sure who, if anyone, runs this place. A few young kids seem to loaf all day.

The rooms are extremely comfortable and Jaka and his team will help you with everything

- breakfast was delicious
- rooms are spacious and very comfortable
- beds are comfortable
- beautiful location
- not all the staff speaks English and the English speaking staff is not always around, which makes it difficult to ask a question sometimes.

Amazing place with beautiful lodges.

The place is very nice, views of the rice fields are great. The staff are friendly and breakfast is great. Our room was very clean.
Unfortunately, there is a very loud karaoke place next door. We had to go there ourselves at 1.30 am and tell them to shut up. The next night, it was noisy again. The staff offered us an inferior room but didn't solve the problem.

The location was perfect, very beautifull
and specially very quute.
If you want to go to Harrau Valley, see rice factories,
or if you want to go to the raflesia flower, ask for Jaka.
He is very kind, and listening for your all your needs.
We also got a private driver to go to Padang,
our driver was Alban, he was also very nice.
Nice place, nice stay, nice team. Thanks also to Yo ;)

Padi Ecolodge is the place to go if you are in Bukkittingi, the people working there are really really nice !
I had a health issue and they were ok to drive us to hospital (at night!), the guy helped us with the translation and took us back home - im not even sure it was during his working hours and almost didn’t accept the money we gave him for all he did at the end.
In general, everybody is willing to help you and the atmosphere there is so chill.
You can rent motorbikes which is cool because it’s not really in the center.
For the breakfast, the banana pancakes are good, but the peanut butter pancake “pour le goûter” is amazing hehe. We only ate dinner once and it was good too (the curry)
The beds are really comfortable and the room is clean, we had a little balcony with the view on the nature around- perfect !
big plus for the team working there, the location (don’t miss the entrance tho, you have to work a bit in the middle of the paddy fields) and the room.
just a little problem with our toilets
