About this house rental
The magic begins here! Stay where it's all happening! We are located behind the courthouse in downtown Brevard. This unique home is now available for guests who want to be close to everything that Brevard has to offer. There is plenty of parking. and an outdoor 220 outlet in the driveway. If needed, we have a portable handicap ramp to enter the house.
Mid-Century Magic is tucked away on a private ½ acre wooded lot and yet is only one block from the heart of historic downtown Brevard.
We offer Corn Hole and an outdoor patio with a gas grill. Mid-Century Magic is 1/2 block from Brevard Brewery, Falls Landing, the Blind Mule, and Wine Down. We are 2 blocks from Square Root (one of the best restaurants in Brevard) and yet, it feels like it is in the country. If you are interested in a private waterfall tour ask Luanne.
Cyclists are welcome! We have a hose to wash bikes and a locked clean room to store them at the back of the house. If you want to talk with an expert cyclist in the area, Luanne will connect you.
Magic is within easy walking distance of the town’s favorite coffee shop, restaurants, breweries, and boutiques, two blocks away from Brevard College and one mile away from Brevard Music Center where the Mountain Song Festival and the BMC Summer Festival take place.
Mid-Century Magic has been fully restored and is well-appointed with splashes of color, tasteful design, and a mix of modern and classic furnishings. It is one of the most interesting houses in Brevard with its hexagonal living room that is encased by windows that fill the home with light. It offers 3 bedrooms (2 queen bedrooms and one room with twin beds), all with super comfortable mattresses, hypoallergenic feather duvets, and pillows.
The remodeled bathrooms, one of which is handicap accessible, feature a large walk-in shower and the other with a shower/tub. The modern kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking or entertaining. And, the home offers all of the modern conveniences you would desire including high-speed WIFI and a 55” Flat-screen TV with Streaming TV
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Brevard is surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Recreational Forest, and Gorges State Park. There are more than 250 gorgeous waterfalls in the county. There is much to see and to explore.

We were in walking distance to anything downtown-next to courthouse yet tucked away and private with living room windows in treetops. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of soap shampoo detergent and condiments. Very comfy beds. Host made sure we had everything we needed and brought bakery cookies. Thank you -

We made an epic motorcycle journey from Brevard County Florida to the city of Brevard North Carolina and needed the perfect house to stay in. Mid-Century Magic was it. The motorcycle was protected under the overhang and the paved driveway made maneuvering a breeze. Since the house is close to town, we could walk in and out easily. But even though it was in a populated area, the trees behind the house gave us a lot of privacy and it was very peaceful. Here are my favorite things about the house:
Kitchen: Plenty of everything and thanks to people who leave salt, pepper, etc.
Living room: The view, the balcony. The big screen TV is nice though we couldn’t figure out how to get all the channels but maybe they’re not all available. I logged into Netflix and we were fine. The remotes are easy to operate.
Bathrooms: Both are large and functional and lots of storage space in the one for all my girly stuff
Bedrooms: Comfy beads, heavy light-blocking curtains, lots of pillows including very flat ones, my favorite. Plenty of clothes storage areas and hangers. Yes! Enough hangers!
There were plenty of towels and linens, the house was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Our host Luanne answered all our questions and provided an excellent guest info book and guest info PDF for us before our arrival date. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Property was wonderful. We had 3 couples and one well behaved dog. The location is perfect.,, walk one block to restaurants and downtown shopping. Luanne was a lovely host: she was there when we had questions and gone when we didnt

We had a great stay! This house is centrally located to everywhere and we explored the town. The only thing my kids would have liked were tvs in the rooms. Loved it though and it was very relaxing!

This was such a beautiful home for us to spend a week in Brevard. The home is absolutely an original in its design and decor. We were a block from shops and restaurants. It was absolutely perfect, and we will stay again.

Uniquely charming home with a perfect location in downtown Brevard. It’s just a block off the Main Street for shopping and restaurants. Luanne, the property manager, was incredibly helpful when we had some trouble with the cable on our first night. She was easily reachable and was able to get us back up and running in no time. We would definitely return for another stay.

We did a lot of hiking and fishing in the area - this location allowed us to explore the outdoors but do meals and shopping in town. 1-3 blocks from everything. Very walkable. Beautiful property, interesting and unique design. Some of the glassware was dirty and lots of bugs in house, may have just been the time of year. Will 100% stay again.

We travel about once a month and always try and stay in a home rather than a hotel. We've stayed in a few pleasant places around Brevard, but nothing can compare to this one!! It was clean, comfortable and full of character! It is rare to find an owner that offers a reasonable amount of towels these days! Such a small gesture has a huge impact! The house was spotless (good job house keeping!). We were so surprised on how quiet the house was for being a block away from everything. We all slept so well! The house itself is memorable- a unique floor plan that works well with kids and us old folks alike! We absolutely loved this home and I hope we can stay here again on our next Brevard vacation! Thank you for being a great host!

We are repeat visitors and love this house. The location is perfect, the nearby hiking is gorgeous, and the neighborhood is quiet despite being incredibly central. We will be back again.

Myself, my partner, my parents and brother/wife were here for 10 days so 6 of us in total. We came for biking and hanging out for the New Years. The property was exactly as described, super clean, great bedding and comfy beds. There was a downstairs room to keep all our bikes locked up and safe without having to worry about bringing dirty bikes in a house. The house was stocked with the essentials and was more stock than any other VRBO I have rented. Kitchen had everything we needed for big family dinners and you can walk in 2 minutes to the Center of Brevard which was fantastic. We had an amazing time and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We will be coming back for sure next time we come to NC!!!

The house was fantastic! Loved staying in such a cool place! Everything was just as described. Very comfortable and spacious. Made us feel like we were millionaires! Leanne is a wonderful host and communicated with us very promptly. We will stay here again when we are back in Brevard!

This is my third time renting this property and it was even better. Each time gets better. Luanne is a fantastic property manager and takes care of all your needs & communicates with you quickly if any questions should arise. A beautiful house, fantastic location and I love the beautiful little town. (My hometown btw!). The Christmas parade, Christmas stores decorations, the delicious meals we had out, everything was perfect!

This house was perfect for our family -- two separate "wings" (one for my husband and me, and one for our daughter and her family). We loved the privacy (at the end of a quiet, dead-end street) AND the proximity to town -- no need to get in the car at all! Host is amazing -- great communicator and responsive. Highly recommend!

I get together yearly with a group of friends to go fly fishing. We fly fished the Davidson River. Just minutes away. House was super convenient to downtown Brevard. Everything was walkable. Very comfortable and accommodating.

Luanne was great in guiding us in during the harvest festival in Brevard. House was comfortable and enjoyed by all! Lots of birds, white squirrels, and walking distance to all of Brevard activities!

A lot of windows with privacy. Clean and well stocked.
We only cooked lightly for breakfast and lunch sandwishes. Very easy access to dine outside for dinner. This Brevard town has good restaurant varieties.
And look for the white squirrels in the woods, Only in Brevard.

Wonderful house, Excellent location
My husband says this may be his favorite VRBO rental ever. The stylish house is more comfortable than you might imagine, and the wooded location just steps from the heart of downtown is unique. White squirrels play in the yard, just to top iit off. In town for a family wedding, and the house was a perfect gathering point.
