My son and daughter stayed in this lovely apartment for the summer while he attended an internship and she worked a fun summer job. The location was perfect for both. Easy access to work and the beach. The apartment was better than expected. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms afforded an ample amount of privacy and at the same time it allowed for easy communal living. Our host was fantastic. Easy to communicate with and work with. It made our stay so much easier.
I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a fun beach retreat.

My family had an amazing stay at Mary's place! The accommodation was exactly as described – clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything needed. The location was perfect, close to Hunting Beach Center. What really stood out was Mary's hospitality. She was incredibly welcoming, always responsive to any questions, and went out of her way to make sure my family had a great stay. We highly recommend staying here and my family would love to come back again!

This property is an upstairs sweet with 2 bed rooms 2 bathrooms. The host is present downstairs, she was very helpful. I stayed 5 weeks for work, and my wife and sister in law stayed for a portion of the trip. Overall, the place was satisfactory except for there not being any laundry in unit.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet with a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall, one of the better places that I have stayed at throughout my travels.

Home away from home
We stayed here for 1 month. Great location with ample space. Backyard has a bbq island and fire pit for guests. You can also rent bikes from owner and bike to the beach in minutes. Mary (property owner) is a really great person. Always available if needed. She really makes you feel comfortable staying at her rental. We would highly recommend anybody to stay at this location.

Beach retreat
Enjoyed our stay at this very roomy and comfortable second story vrbo. Plenty of room and options at this place - everything you need plus a very nice back yard - easy walk to downtown and beach unless you are carrying a lot of gear. HB is a very walkable town and the homes and yards are well kept and varied types of homes for nice surroundings and scenery. Even during partial COVID lockdown HB is visitor friendly with many restaurants offering outdoor dining. Beach days are easy - drive to main parking lots on PCH and rent chairs umbrellas or bikes from Dwights - wide open beach and ocean access.
Mary was very responsive and although we did not have any issues during our stay, info and contact options were clearly communicated and available. Plenty of street parking and grocery/shopping options also easy to find nearby. Will definitely return :)

Good location
The property was clean and it’s in good location, a walking distance to HB downtown and Pier. Mary is very helpful.
The only thing off was the toilet in the master bedroom was broken and it was replaced on the second day of the stay.
It would be professionally handled if it was fixed before the checkin date / time.

Memorable, fun family get together
Ideal for our purpose three adults and two kids. Close enough to walk to Beach, Pier or Main Street. It's an easier Drive when you carry Beach gear. Don't worry about no air conditioning. Plenty of fans to maintain the cool. Nights are cool enough you don't need the fans. Older home well maintained. Mary was very nice to chat with and always ready to accommodate us. Thanks for a great vacation!

Great for a getaway!
The set up of the house is perfect for a family but may not be the best set up for all adults as the only entrance is through the master bedroom. With my family - this was no problem, and we liked the layout of the property. Plenty of towels for showering plus plenty of beach towels. Fairly quiet location with the exception of home construction across the street - but that should be done soon. Easy street parking right in front of the house - no need to drive all over looking for parking. Would stay here again!

Stayed for 3 nights, very easygoing landlord, and helpful with information
We came to Huntington Beach and used this apartment as home base to go Christmas shopping. It is centrally located and very easy to get to the main roads and travel north or south. The homeowner was easily available to answer all our questions about local shopping centers and a new one that recently opened on PCH, walking distance from this cottage, called PACIFIC CITY (lots of cute stores and yuppie new restaurants, great to stroll in and eat facing the ocean). Like I said, it is a few blocks to the main road: Beach Boulevard, and a few blocks to PCH and the ocean, about 4 miles to 405. Easy parking in front of the house without having to feed meters, and a beautiful and huge back yard. Thank you Mary! We will be back.

Great home base
Our family of 4 stayed here for a week with the intention of enjoying Huntington Beach and Disney. The property was fantastic. The beds were comfortable, the space perfectly sized and equipped for our family, the backyard amazing, the owner provided great tips throughout our stay (via text) to ensure we had a great time.
We will surely return!

Beach Shack
My family of 5 stayed here for 10 days over one of the busiest weeks in Huntington Beach. This definitely was no Beach Shack. It was a home away from home. The beds were so comfortable and I really loved the cosiness of the wood inside the place. There was lots of space for all of us and having such a lovely yard with a much loved fire place added to this. It was about a 10 minute walk to town but far enough to get away from the noise of the summer holiday period. We hired a car for a week and had easy access to parking and getting around town was no problem even for us who usually drive on the other side of the road. The owner Mary was always so helpful and I would recommend staying here over a hotel room anytime. Thankyou for such a lovely time.

Quiet and great place for reuniting with family or friends/don't miss this back yard
We have stayed here twice already. Owner very friendly and accomodating (turned out she spoke fluent French, so we spoke French the whole time). Very breezy adn private and quiet upper unit. If you are 4 people you can use the 3rd bedroom as a family room as there is no living room as such. Back yard is phenominal for BBQing with lots and lots of seating areas: a bar counter, another lower picnic table with umbrella, a fireplace with seats there and a seating arrangement to watch the basketball players, plus a lounge to sunbathe on. Definitely a fun back yard larger than most in this postage-stamp-lots town. We relaxed and did absolutely nothing except the beach and Disneyland. We recommend highly.

Very convenient location, nice furnishings
We stayed in this property in Huntington Beach (Surf City, USA) for a three day weekend. Mary (the owner) was accommodating and attentive, even giving us a call mid-way through the stay, The rental was very nicely furnished, and big enough to hold 5-7 adults, with an extra air mattress and a day bed in one of the rooms. If you haven't been to the area, there is a LOT of local literature, dining suggestions, and things to do. I used to work in town, but my first time to the Surfing Museum. Definitely worth price and location (easy walk to the beach). Be advised that older or very young residents may have stairs to contend with.

Best Backyard In Town!
We absolutely loved this place. We spent most of our evenings talking around the outdoor fireplace with a nice cocktail. The owner gave us some great suggestions of restaurants and our kids walked to the beach everyday.

Family Get Away
The weather was just wonderful, warm sunny days and cool breezy nights. The owner is very friendly. The interior is very well maintained, it's clean and furniture is new, and the beds are very comfortable. There is a huge bathroom off the master bedroom with a walk in shower that is just amazing. You have full use of the backyard which has a gas grill, basketball hoop and gas fireplace, it is beautifully landscaped. The beach is walking distance, and there is cooler and lawn chairs and boogie boards and wagon. We would pack up and walk to the beach and hang out all day, grabbed lunch on the beach and would come back and grill out and relax in the backyard. We stayed there 4 days and wished we could have stayed longer, would definitly come back, completly enjoyed our stay.

Awesome Backyard!
This place was absolutely beautiful! The yard looked like a botanical garden. All we did every day was walk to the beach then walk back and hang out in the backyard until dark. The weather was beautiful all week. We wore shorts during the day and a light jacket at night. Gotta love Southern California for that! The interior was nice too. Everything looked new like in a five star hotel. The master bathroom was the highlight of the interior. It was totally custom with a huge stone shower and a jacuzzi bath tub. We will totally be coming back. Thanks soooooo much!!!

Lovely place, beautiful back yard, friendly owners
We stayed there last year for a week and it was quite enjoyable. My husband escaped" to the back yard and lounged there reading his newspaper, even went to sleep in the lounger as the weather was beautiful and the sun put him to sleep. You can breathe the beach air from this location even though it is about a mile to the ocean, and can get a tan in the back yard. The house sits on what they call a "double lot" in this area, so it is twice the width of other small houses, giving them a large back yard. Not to forget, the master bathroom is HUGE! If you ask, the owner may pull out their ping-pong table, and loan you some games like backgammon and playing cards. If you are not planning to cook a meal on your vacation, this is the place to be: not a full kitchen, so your husband can't put you to work! Coffee maker, small frige and microwave: great vacation for the wife! :)
