We didn’t even to stay! No notice of ferry schedule or fee or cancellations (meaning no access to the property) on the listing. Put us out of our way about 2 hours to finally find a hotel around midnight. Captain of the ferry is ride. Owner of the home “Denise” does not respond to your calls or return them, and does not respond to EVOLVE, which is.a third party website VRBO uses I guess. Still no response regarding my refund, as we spend $527 and some change for two lousy nights with very unprofessional companies and homeowner. DO NOT BOOK!

Nice, quiet location. House was well equipped. We didn’t use the kayaks as our friends on the island have plenty, but it’s a great option to have available. Loved our morning walks to say “hi” to the island deers. Would definitely stay again.

This is our third year staying here. We enjoyed walking along the beach, but know the tide chart so you have beach to walk on as it can take a couple hours to walk around casually.Kayaks are available but this time we brought our own. Nice to have two full bathrooms. We were comfortable in the downstairs bedroom. Be prepared to stay on the island for the duration of your stay, or plan far ahead to account for the ferry off and back on the island. Get in line early. Very nice people on the island. There is a Pickleball court in the center of the island which we used a couple days. The host is responsive to any questions and has a contact that lives on the island if anything is needed. We will stay here again.

We enjoyed the property and the relaxed pace of the island. We enjoyed walking around the island, looking at the houses, feeding the deer, and visiting the beaches. We did have some issues with the ferry and we could not find the single person kayak. But overall, a nice, relaxing visit.

Really enjoyed our stay on the island. Comfortable place. Liked having a choice of bedrooms (up or downstairs), and having two bathrooms. We made good use of the kayaks everyday, even when it rained one day. It was difficult to find all the kayak choices since many of the marking on the kayaks are wearing off. We also noted that the one garbage can outside was full when we arrived nd we really struggled to put our own trash in it the we left. It seems it should have been empty when we arrived. We enjoyed the evenings sitting on the deck playing cards, and games, and relaxing. We also found the dryer full and washed bedding and towels. Whoever comes to clean the place in-between renters must have missed emptying the dryer. Thanks for a great stay. We would like to stay again next year.

We really enjoyed our experience, though the description of sleeping capacity (6) should have clarified that the upstairs quarters where the Murphy bed is also houses a small futon in a very tight space. Maybe ok for 4 adults and 2 children, but not 6 adults. Other than that, we enjoyed sharing our family gathering there (two of whom also have a cabin in the island).

Has lots of room for large parties. Large deck. Home was clean. Very dated and in need of a full maintenance run through. Exterior lights not operational. No satellite for TV. Deck needs resurfacing, splintering all over, along with other smaller items.

Had everything we needed. Beautiful peaceful island. Cabin was amazing. Dianne is so sweet. Had TV problems. She tried to fix, but being so remote to no avail. Enjoyed everything so much. Herron Island is magical. Nice people. Live on the island. Met a few, on had 5 days. Wish I had a month. So comfortable. Thanks Dianne, the Brooks.
