2 Bedrooms Duplex Apartment, enterely renovated in a classified historical building, with very high standing, located in the heart of the historical city of Oporto, with unforgettable views on the Dom Luis Bridge, Douro River from one side, and Palacio da Bolsa, Sao Francisco Church and Infante Dom Henrique Square from the other side.
This apartment is located on the last and 5th floor of a building with an elevator. This building is known as Baron Forrester has spent some time leaving there.
Joseph James Forrester devoted a part of his life in a laborious survey of the River Douro, with a view of improvement of its navigation and a separte map of the port Wine districts, reprinted in England in 1852 by order of a select committee of the House of Commons. He was created Baron de Forrester for life in 1855 by the crown of Portugal, made knight commander of the orders of Christ and Isabella la Catolica, and received the cross of chevalier of various orders of his adopted country.
This Duplex is a real unique diamond in the historical center, with 2 Suites with 2 balconies, one in front of the Infante Dom Henrique Square and the other in front of the Dom Luis Bridge.

Marcâs apartment is easy to access and a pleasant, spacious stay. centrally located, you are looking up the hill to cleirgos on one side and across the river to gaia the other. the walks up and down the beautiful neighborhoods will have you feeling very lucky to have an elevator in a historic location. defininitley recommend and would return!

We enjoyed our stay with our friends. It was perfect for two couples. However the upstairs suite will be a battle between the couples. lol. Downstairs sitting would be better if a couple bucket chairs. Just a suggestion. It is close to everything! Book early for this special place!

This location was amazing to walk out your door and visit restaurants and shopping and all the attractions. My only comment would be that my daughter said the downstairs bedroom had a very uncomfortable mattress, but otherwise the apartment was amazing.

We loved our stay at this modern apartment near the river in Porto! We were in the â€ïž of the celebrations for the feast of St. John which was a wonderful surprise. The apartment has two suites giving travellers some privacy. Lots of space to relax or eat together as well. Upstairs balcony has a fantastic view of the river and bridges. Bright and clean⊠we highly recommend it!
Could use a sharp knife, a cover for the kitchen drain, a couple more tea towels and 2 pillows for everyone!

When we booked this property, it stated that it had âparking onsiteâ but beware, there is NO parking onsite. There is underground parking at the park across the way for a fee to the tune of 50⏠per day. There is alternative parking .5km down the street to the tune of 30⏠per day. Also, this building is not accessible. The so-called elevator doesnât begin until the 2nd floor, after climbing 30 steps. If you are thinking of booking this property for these two attributes like we did, this is not the property for you. Additionally, this does not sleep 6, it sleeps 4 plus 1 on the sofa that does not fold out to become a bed as claimed. There are no toiletries provided and few towels and toilet paper. The pillows are tiny, and the downstairs bedroom mattress is hard as can be. Otherwise, the location is fantastic, the view is amazing, and despite the challenges, we enjoyed ourselves.

Ribeira is highly desirable in Porto and we just happened to stay at this phenomenal, clean, spacious, comfortable and QUIET place just above all the energy while looking out across the Douro river with the Episcopal palace shining down into our bedroom every night. We had no idea where to stay in Porto but now I know I'd never look elsewhere.
Traffic exists everywhere but honestly there is no easier access than this apartment with a parking lot just down the street.
Marc and Rita are super communicative, Rita is kind and helpful...even bringing extra towels and pillows for us.
A short walk to the bridge to Gaia and near everything you could want to see in Porto.
The pictures simply don't do this modern condo justice.
Don't worry about the noise outside, they have soundproofing that is solid and the upstairs balcony is romantic and peaceful.

very cool modern apartment in a great location. was easy to walk to everything we wanted to visit. we stayed in dec and all heater, hot water worked great. very clean. the view from upstairs bedroom is amazing. Communication with Marc was very good too.

This is a great location but was not our best stay. Way too many stairs and too much design over function. The table on the back deck hasnât been cleaned in awhile so was unusable although the view from there would be lovely. Beds are comfy as is the couch. Building isnât managed well so the elevator broke and they sent someone out to fix it but apparently not as then we got stuck in it for 45 minutes and they came again and still didnât fix it. Big mix up with arrival so we stood on the street with our bags for 30 minutes. We will come back to Porto but wouldnât stay there.

The apartment was very modern in a beautiful old building within walking distance to restaurants and shops. It is well equipped and very clean. The only thing to mention are the two sets of stairs before reaching the elevator making it difficult to carry luggage or for those who are mobility impaired. That said, the apartment was great and would highly recommend.

Enjoyed the location immensely. It was close to everywhere that we wanted to see. The views from the apartment were great. Marc was easy to communicate with. Due to traffic we were a little later than our 4:30pm checking and no one was available until 6pm to let us in. Then unfortunately the elevator was broken and we had to climb 5 floors with our luggage. However it was repaired within a couple of days. Make sure to take a starter kit tea/coffee, sugar etc with you.

Perfect location and close to everything! Lovely apartment but linens and towels could use a refresh. MORE pillows!!!! One very small pillow per person was NOT enough. Left with a sore neck and back. BUT on saying that would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great week!

We totally enjoyed our stay here. Checkin was a breeze with Fernanda waiting for us when we arrived. Flat was as noted in the pictures. Close to lots of restaurants and bridge to the port houses on other side of river. Would stay here again for sure on our next return to Porto. This property was very nice with the most beautiful views. It was clean, comfortable and had A/C which was helpful in the heat. There was quite a bit of traffic noise from the square but if the windows are closed at night it is not as much an issue.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at this property. It was clean, communication was excellent, the air conditioner in the master bedroom worked perfectly, and it was quiet for sleeping. The thing that I will remember for the rest of my life though are the views from the balconies. You can basically see every important site in Porto from them. It is indescribable how beautiful the view is at night. The location is perfect.

We had an amazing time visiting the city and staying in this apartment. The balconies offered terrific views to relax and enjoy the scenery and there were many restaurants and cafes close by with delicious food. The host checked us in and showed us the place and gave us great recommendations. I would stay here again for sure.

We felt right at home at this beautiful apartment, which was even more lovely than the photos. The location was excellent -- right on Infante D. Henrique Square overlooking the Bolsa Palace (Stock Exchange Palace). It was just a block or 2 away from the Ribeira, but not in the thick of the crowds. We would absolutely stay here again.

Loved the location of this apartment. Although on a busy street, it was very quiet to sleep. Very clean and the hosts were very responsive. However, a few concerns about the apartment. The lower level bedroom had a very hard uncomfortable bed, and the bathroom was dark and no place to put toiletries. Also, upper level had a terrace with a beautiful view, but was in poor condition (wood boards raised that were tripping hazard, and to no fault of the owner, the seagull poop all over made it impossible to be outside. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives

We loved this apartment. I think it is nicer than the pictures. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs bedroom. Great soft bed and lots of closet and drawer space. The upstairs bathroom was well appointed and loved the skylight window.
The balcony was perfect morning, afternoon, and at night. We were lucky to have perfect weather to enjoy being out there with the incredible views.
The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. Hopped around the corner to a mom and pop grocery to get staples. Bakeries very close by for all your bread and pastries. Front balcony has lovely view too. We felt very close to anything we wanted to see and do. Loved the location. Great restaurants all around. My husband and I recommended this apartment to some friends going to Porto.
