Unique place to stay

Unique location with great view over the water and added interest seeing the boats passing by. Plenty of space. Good room and area guide on the tablet in the room. Tram stop only a short walk away. We really enjoyed staying here.

The house is great - just one problem that took us some time to solve... Keeping the room at a comfortable temperature was a bit difficult -, it was often too hot - even in November with freezing temperatures outside. The thermostat control in the room seems to do nothing - even if the temperature is set to a target of 16 degrees centigrade (and showing 26 degrees as the current room temperature) the heating would be switched on and radiators hot. The thermostat / heating control is not as described in the room guide on the tablet in the room. The room guide said the heating could be switched off but this didn't seem to be possible. Eventually we turned down each of the approx. 10 radiators and opened the small windows. But this seems to be wasteful of energy so is not ideal.

Very good

Location was great and the views are excellent of the water and the incoming boats. Very relaxing and peaceful stay. Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby. The tram to the city centre is a short walk (~10mins).

Could have more supplies for cleaning floors like a broom/vacuum and sponge/clothes for the dishes and the kitchen.

Loved our stay despite the negative’s! The view & location was spot on!

The view & location! Very accessible to supermarket & Amsterdam Central by Tram 26. Bars, Restaurants & Beach/surfing within walking distance.

Automatic lights stayed on too long. Kitchen lighting inadequate. Outside area could do with some TLC.

The place is wonderful but requires better care

This house is really unique, and spacious. It's located in a calm city district which is close to the city center ( 15-20 minutes by tram). The river and bridge views give an amazing vibe.

The cleaning could have been better. Also, napkins were missing at all, bathroom accessories are very poor. The floor was sticky in some places.

Exceptional

This is a must stay property! it completely exceeded our expectations. The view from the place was beautiful and super quiet. The bed felt luxurious and we had the best nights sleep, It’s in a great location with a supermarket just a 2 minute walk away and a tram that takes you straight to the center just a 5 minute walk if that! It was super clean and cosy, and again just blew us away and we are already looking at returning 😊

Exceptional

We enjoyed our 16-night stay in this unique bridge house. The views through the windows are impeccable and the space is really huge. There’s a supermarket in walking distance, we almost bought groceries and cooked everyday in the fully equipped kitchen. The online service was really helpful and nice, Sluis Haveneiland is indeed one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.

This place is suitable for staying for a long time. If washing machine was available in this place, it could be more convenient for the long stayers.

We felt so very welcome here!

It was located on the river, with exceptional views, near transport , shop and restaurants. Able to watch the boats and water activities. Accommodation facilities were excellent.

Unique property in a quite neighborhood

An unique property, big and spacious, in a quite location right next to see with nice views, easy access to city center by public transport. Toilets and bathrooms were super clean and kitchen was equipped with essentials

They should have mentioned that toilets are in a different floor. Lot of dust in living room, especially on the book shelf and cubboards. No natural ventilation it's almost like a green house with huge glass windows without natural ventilation. There should have been at least one window the AC is very weak.

Clean, spacious, quiet, nice view!

Cold! Heating is not enough for October I don’t want to think how it’s in winter. And that made our whole stay a lot less comfortable. Besides that we had a power cut at our last day and that made everything even worse let alone we had to wait almost all day in the room because we wouldn’t be able to go back in as the door lock needs electricity. Finally they provided a key but our day was ruined already. In return we got a free “future” night which I’m sure we won’t be able to use because we are not visiting Amsterdam that often.

Unique and comfortable Amsterdam stay.

Our personal bridge house was a unique and enjoyable experience. The bridge house we stayed in at Sluis-Havenieland was removed from the hustle of the city in a quiet location, but only a block away from several restaurants and a full grocery store. The tram connection, for a quick trip back the Amsterdam central station was just 3 blocks away - and easy 5 minute walk and trams came just minutes apart all day. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and afforded wonderful views of 170,000 acre Markermeer Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again or at one of the other 25+ bridge house properties operated by Sweets Hotels.
