We were delighted with this A-frame riverside cottage. All the conveniences of home plus a fabulous view! Glassed living area was filled with natural light and views of the lobster boats going out and coming in each day. The dock was a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book while watching the lobster boats empty traps right in front of you! Location was very convenient to Wiscasset, Bath and Boothbay Harbor and many other picturesque villages nearby. The updated kitchen was very well equipped for meals at home. The upstairs TV loft was a welcoming and cozy retreat when returning home from our daily adventures. We have stayed in rentals across the USA and aboad and found this home to be the best overall value, both in comfort and beauty. We hope to return in the coming years!

Maine is one of our favorite places to vacation and we go almost every fall. As for the house- We loved the incredible ~270 deg views of the river. We spent hours watching the tide. We spotted seals almost every day. We also saw plenty of cormorants and herons. The kitchen is new and well equipped. We prepared a several meals and even some steaks on the grill. It's also close enough to Reds to pop over for a lobster roll when you have a craving. WIFI was good. The TV was also nice although we only watched the Pats game. The bathroom is decent but could use refurbishment. Overall, we were very comfortable and Laurie was very good at getting back to us even when we left something behind. We would definitely stay here again.

So here it is Friday already and as I say to my wife, I hate to be leaving tomorrow, I look at her face and see tears in her eyes. She says this has been her favorite house and place to vacation in all of her 63 years. We took in Rockport, Rockland, Damarisscotta, Camden, Boothbay Harbor and Pemaquid Lighthouse all of which are in easy reach. With softshell lobster at $5.70 a lb from the local lobster coop we couldn't help but indulge in lobster and steamers 4 out of 7 days here. The house is perfect, with a beautiful view of the river and the constantly changing tides. Laurie has gone the extra mile in providing a well stocked and modern kitchen that covered all of our needs. If you are looking for the perfect place to enjoy all the Mid Coast of Maine has to offer, look no further than Laurie's wonderful cottage. We hope to be back soon.

We love our time here more each year. This is our big vacation every year and it we anticipate it months in advance and savor the memories for months after we return. For us, this is the great big week-long SIGH that keeps us sane for the year. Thank you, Laurie, for the loan of your beautiful cottage...and the sanity. (I think I might have convinced Bill into two weeks for next year. Fingers are crossed!!)

This was the best VRBO vacation house we have ever rented. The deck and views of nature were spectacular. We spent hours watching the osprey nest, herons, seals, lobster boats, etc. The dock was an ideal launch for kayaking trips. The house itself (only wanted to be there after the mosquitoes came out) was beautifully decorated and had every needed amenity.

We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Laurie's lovely cottage! It is a beautiful location and the cottage had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck or the dock just relaxing by looking at the beautiful scenery. We loved littlevillagebistro.com - ate there three times! The cottage itself was just perfect, we couldn't have asked for anything more! Thank you Laurie for making your cottage available on Home Away!

Laurie (and her family, I imagine) has done such an amazing job creating a spot that is so guest friendly. Sure, the location is stellar - right on the water, lovely views, private, easy to get to Wiscasset and Bath, beautiful cottage...but, there are so many other details that just make the visit comfortable. You will find a beautiful and well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds in rooms that are always cool as they are at the back, shaded part of the cottage (we appreciated this when it reached 90 degrees outside), quality patio furniture that makes lounging on the deck seem the best and only choice...and on. We have rented a number of places in Maine, but this is the one we want to visit year after year. Thanks, Laurie!!

I don't know how other people want to vacation on the Maine Coast, but here's our list: a great water view; a private location; easy access and comfortable for my parents; accepts dogs; good deck and water access This cottage checked all of my boxes and so many more that I wasn't expecting! Laurie, the owner, was great to deal with...just lovely. And the cottage was exactly what my husband and I needed to completely disconnect (without having to really disconnect since there's wifi, cell coverage and cable). The cottage is so beautiful and comfortable. We spent most of the our time on the deck...and did not regret it at all. We are ready to book for next year...thanks, Laurie!
