We arrived late at night the accommodations were outstanding. We could not have asked for a more perfect place. When we woke the next day to amazing lush greenest. We enjoyed the entire stay. We actually extended the stay one day to enjoy the place more.

We were 3 couples over 60. The house was plenty large to accommodate all of us with ease and comfort. We enjoyed lots of laughter in the dining and sun rooms. The large kitchen was easy to work in.
Overall, the house is great and convenient to Manchester.
Two things to note: the pond is barely visible from the house due to the summer foliage. Route 11 created more road noise than I expected.

We loved our stay in this beautiful old cabin/barn, the space was perfect for our family of 5 plus our dog. Location is great, close to town but remote and private. It lacked nothing, especially not charm.

Property is a great location to explore Vermont. We spent 4 nights and visited several locations throughout the State.
Hiked to Bromley summit right from front door and the Lye Brook Falls hike was great.
Description indicates a cleaning co. Maintains the property but on arrival we found a partially decomposing mouse in the upper level shower and during the stay had large black ants in dinning, kitchen and lower level
Bathroom.
I cleaned up the mouse and dealt with ants as we saw them.
Overall did not let those things deter our trip.

We loved our stay at the lodge. We had two couples and kids ranging in age from 2 to 12. We did lots of skiing at Bromley but loved having Manchester so close to explore. The pinball arcade was a great rainy day activity for kids! The house was amazing and bigger than we imagined, we were all extremely comfortable. The only thing to mention is the stairs and upstairs loft are a bit scary for little ones. We blocked them with a baby gate and didn’t let the two year old up there, but it was fine for the big kids. We can’t wait to plan another stay next year!

We had such a wonderful stay. Loved the house and the private location. No problems with anything in the house. We hope to be back soon!

We spent the very first Christmas away from home and into a home that made the holiday a wonderful memory for us. We have stayed at this property in the summer and both seasons did not disappoint. The property is in a secluded area, quiet and very close to skiing. I would book and stay here forever if I could. MM

It was wonderful to return to this cozy welcoming property. I stayed in the other house maybe 6 or 7 years in a row quite some time ago. You can tell it’s such a family place. Everything was easy, comfortable and the spot is just amazing. We couldn’t have been happier.

Great home and property! We really enjoyed our stay.
Awesome location, set off of a private road , yet just a short drive to Manchester Village, and restaurants and shops. Custom home, beautiful exposed beams throughout, full of character. Great Communication with Brad.
Thank you!

This is a cozy lodge filled with interesting antiques and a drop dead gorgeous location on a private pond. Minutes from the entrance to Bromley Mountain for skiing or summer fun. Well appointed rooms sleep 6 adults and 2 children easily. Woke up to coffee on the deck watching birds. Loved it!

Staying at this house was an honor, you can just feel the history inside! If you appreciate authenticity and antiques, this is the stay for you. Heat and hot water were fabulous. Ester was so kind, she even mailed back my friends forgotten laundry (and added in a shirt and hat!!) A piece of my heart is left with this house... We WILL be back!

This was such a charming experience in a rustic cabin that offered everything you would need for your stay.
Communication and directions were outstanding and made this location easy to find.
When we first arrived we thought this would be too close to the main road but honestly once you get inside the peacefulness of this cabin took over and there was a tremendous sigh of relief as the work stress melted away.
Great experience and we all agreed we would come back here again!

A terrific get-away to Vermont cabin in the woods, we drove up from Virginia. We spent the week between Christmas and New Years, very close to Bromley Ski mountain, easy drive to Stratton and others. We cooked meals in every night, everything was there that we needed. Played family games after dinner, they have a stocked cabinet full of options. No complaints at all.

Fantastic. So unique. Beautiful place to get snowed in. Skiing 3 miles away, Manchester is only 6 miles away. We stayed here two years ago and loved it. We will be back. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Lodge in the Woods
When I walked in the door, I told my wife, “This house smells like VT!” I meant that the most positive way. The massive fireplace is well loved and the house smells like a ski lodge is supposed to smell. Anyone that appreciates post and beam construction with old barn wood as well as antiques is going to love this property. The decor is beautifully done and it is fun trying to figure out the original purpose for some of obscure pieces that have been repurposed in very creative ways. The gardens around the house are stunning and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch reading and watching the birds and chipmunks. We stayed in the house for two weeks in July. It was 90 degrees in the valley during the day but at night the mountain temperature dropped so that it was cool enough that the fans were more than sufficient to keep us comfortable. For a few days we had 5 girls in the house and we never had a problem with water pressure or hot water. The house is really as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. If you like the house from the pictures, you are going to love the house when you get there. We are definitely considering this house for a future visit to VT.

Unique experience
A true cabin. We decided we had been in the Berenstain Bears’ tree house. Rustic. Thank goodness for fans as it was hot & hard to enjoy the beautiful sun room which must be gorgeous in the winter. Pretty setting ruined by the noisy road close by. Comfortable beds & linens.

Fun Getaway
We had a great time at Beaver Dam Lodge. Took canoe rides and fished on pond. The cabin is really neat with cool windows and skylights. It is a bit rustic with no AC but fans provided and nights cooled down. The loft beds are a little old and not comfortable but the rest of the beds are good and the couch was comfy. There is a little cabin next door, Honeymoon lodge, that shares the property but there was plenty of space on property and barely saw other guests. Brad did a great job communicating and was very responsive. Manchester is 10 to 15 minutes away and had some good restaurants and grocery store. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Absolutely enchanting
Secluded enough to have enjoy the lake and grounds but just a few minutes down the road from Manchester; this was one of the coziest and most beautiful homes we’ve ever been to. Would highly recommend for a relaxing weekend getaway. The owners were very easy to communicate with and they did a great job decorating the house, it really feels like you fell through time being there. Hopefully we’ll be back here soon!

A unique house with a glorious sunroom at the edge of the AT and Long Trail.
This is a Tolkien house — my grandson’s description — that allowed our two families, enhanced by visits from my daughter and her two kids, to enjoy family meals at a lovely long table, take hikes and runs up Bromley Mountain, and explore the Beaver pond with our two younger ones who searched for frogs and caught salamanders at the edge of the pond and on the grounds. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the fireplace was big and cozy all at once, and the furniture was comfortable and homey. The place itself is a find. A house built in the 1980s and garnished with wide beams, old farm equipment, and vaulted ceilings that make it feel ancient and inviting. The accoutrements of Bennington pottery, Mexican glassware, and very interesting bowls of all sizes made it easy to cook and lovely to dine — like you are at a friend’s home for the week. The mountains are magnificent, and an easy 6 mile drive to Manchester offered us amusement on a rainy day. The only drawback for some might me the sounds of traffic on 11, but that wasn’t an issue for our family. Trees block the view and we never worried about our kids exploring the lawn. We loved the decks back and front. There is a sleeping loft upstairs, two bedrooms and a bath. We had the master on the first floor with its own bath, perfect for old folks like us. All together an easy and interesting location for a Covid vacation, or an anytime break in a delightful home.

Delightful getaway!
This is a beautiful and spacious home with a rustic feel and plenty of room for a family or several couples. The cabin sits right off the Appalachian trail, near great biking and has a fully equipped kitchen for preparing delicious meals. There are many spaces outdoors and in to settle in and hang out. We will definitely be back! Also beautiful stars at night. (Only down side is the road noise from route 11 which is right across the pond).

New Years family retreat
We have been coming to Beaver Dam Lodge for 20 years and it is consistently an enjoyable time to spend with family. Surrounded by picturesque scenery, great fireplace and a social great room. Every finds their nook to hang out for quiet time yet the tv is off and the card and board games come out for real connections and memories. We are skiers so we tend to hit Bromley (3 minute drive) and Stratton (20 minute drive) and don’t mind being off mountain. The owners have lovingly built and cared for this home and it shows. You will need to shovel the walk, bring your firewood inside, wash the bottom of those pots and pans properly, so this vacation is for the lower maintenance traveller that finds enjoyment in the simpler way of life. This spot is a jewel and we are thankful that we have been able to share this with our children, friends and parents over the years.

A perfect weekend away
My husband and my sister with our combined three dogs were looking for a weekend getaway that would provide a unique setting, water views, and access to hiking. We booked somewhat last minute and were so impressed with the communication with our host. The house is beautiful and in fact during our stay we several times commented on what a dream it would be to have a weekend home like this of our own! We were so comfortable and enjoyed every minute including sitting in the back room with the scenic settings, cooking, walking a short distance up the path to hiking trails, letting the dogs swim, etc. We are already planning for when we might be able to visit again!! I can’t thank you enough. Living in the city we really needed a respite in the woods and this exceeded our expectations.
