Best Bed&Breakfast ever!

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Das Gronala am Morgen war außerordentlich lecker. Wir haben uns wie daheim gefühlt.

Super Aufenthalt.

6. Station unserer Rundreise. Auf dem Weg von Port Hardy nach Tofino noch 3 Tage ohne Buchung. Haben uns dann kurzfristig entschlossen in die Mitte von Vancouver Island, in Port Alberni zu übernachten. 3 Nächte bei Berkies Bed & Breakfast privat übernachtet. Ein Glücksfall. Yvonne und Bob tolle Gastgeber, sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Haben einen Stock höher bei Yvonne und Bob in Ihrer Wohnung gefrühstückt. Gleich mal tolle Tipps für die Gegend bekommen, und jeden Morgen ganz netten Small Talk. Frühstück an den 3 Tagen jedes mal was anders, und voll lecker. Fernfahrerportionen. Kaffee auch sehr gut. Hatten eine ganze Wohnung mit Schlafzimmer, Bad und Wohnzimmer. Alles Tipp-Top sauber, und keine Abnutzungserscheinungen. Abends lagen immer Schokoriegel und Kekse für uns bereit. W-Lan sehr gut. Parkplatz vorm Haus. Wohnung liegt sehr zentral. Tolle Gegend zum wandern. Und McLean Mill als Ausflug zu empfehlen.

Rundum sorglos Paket!

Yvonne und Bob sind exzellente und sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Sie geben hilfreiche Tipps für Ausflüge oder Restaurants. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das perfekte Frühstück von Yvonne. Es war köstlich und abwechslungsreich. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und geräumig. Es fehlt an nichts!

Great facilities, the best breakfast on Vancouver Island, and fabulous welcoming hosts.

Highly recommended. This property boasts an entire apartment for the guests. It is private and relaxing. Yvonne and Bob are the perfect hosts - charming, witty and welcoming. Yvonne should have Michelins star, as she cooks the best breakfast on Vancouver Island. Incredible attention to detail with regards to all aspects of your stay. We were made to feel very welcome and even joined our hosts and their friends for dinner at a local restaurant one night. There’s plenty to do in the local area and lots of choice for good restaurants. We were stopping off in Port Alberni as part of a road trip from Victoria to Tofino. It was the perfect break en-route. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts.

Yvonne et Bob sont très accueillants, aux petits soins, on se sent comme à la maison. Le logement est spacieux et très calme. Les petits dej sont vraiment fabuleux! Un regret toutefois, être restés seulement deux nuits... Une adresse à faire absolument !!!

Everything, we loved the space, the homemade breakfast and cookies, but most of all the hospitality of Bob and Yvonne. We would definitely recommend this b&b.

10/10, we don't have a bad word to say about the place!

A wonderful stay in a spacious and comfortable home with two of the best hosts that any traveller could hope for. If you're staying in Port Alberni and this place is available you shouldn't hesitate to book. Breakfast is delicious and the room itself is extremely well-kept/comfortable.

Hosts ensure your stay feels like home away from home

Very friendly, helpful and hospitable hosts. Excellent breakfast according to our wishes. Large lounge with very good facilities, incl. fridge, tea/coffee maker, sizeable bathroom. Hosts' attention to detail was really appreciated.

A perfect home in Vancouver Island

Everything, Yvonne and Bob are wonderful host. Kind and always available to make your stay enjoyable. We were surprised of the space for us. It's so big, it feels like to be in your own appartment. The breakfast was delicious too. I would highly recommend to have a stop to Berkie if you wish to visit Vancouver Island. It feels like it's home

We spent three nights at Berkie's and it was wonderful. We had a warm welcome. Yvonne and Bob were very helpful and gave good advice on what to do in the area. Yvonne's breakfast was absolutely amazing!!! They are the best hosts we ever had! 🥰

Excellent facilities and fantastic hospitality from Yvonne and Bob.

Yvonne and Bob were the best hosts you could wish for - they were so welcoming and keen to help and impart their wealth of local knowledge. The quality and variety of the breakfasts Yvonne provided was excellent, and the morning chats with Bob were very entertaining indeed!

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Daily home made sweet treats were a nice touch.

Comfortable, central (and friendly) accomodations!

The hosts were exceptional in anticipating everything you might need to enjoy your stay in their very cute and comfortable BnB. Staying for a couple of nights, we enjoyed two very delicious breakfasts not to mention the sweet treats waiting for us in our suite. The space has a tranquil West Coast vibe and is extremely comfortable

Couldn't fault a thing, we had a very enjoyable stay. Next time we will come for pleasure instead of for business.

Excellent hosts and super cosy and comfy apartment

We were very warmly welcomed by the owners. The accommodation consists of a whole apartment in the basement and was super cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast really blew us away. It was not a buffet but freshly prepared by the owner in the kitchen. Apart from that, we could enjoy every day new cookies in our apartment and we received even homemade marmalade as a gift. What we didn't expect at all, but made our stay unforgettable, was the fact that the husband gave us a little sightseeing tour in the area. We also received many helpful tips for other places and restaurants worth seeing. We would stay there again anytime and highly recommend Berkies. Thanks for making our stay a whole story on our travels!

Such a good place to stay

The accommodation is excellent with very good furnishings, plus it is immaculately clean. The lounge area is large and the dining area has microwave, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. Breakfast was lovely - all home made! Yvonne and Bob are perfect hosts and couldn’t have done more for us. Bob took us to Stamp River, where we saw bears fishing and loads of salmon jumping up the waterfalls. We even got a ride to a local restaurant. Such hospitality!

One of the best B&Bs I ever stayed. Highly reccommended.

Room is spacious, actually too much room for one man stay. Everything needs are there. Nice and comfortable living room. Super clean so that even be hesitant to make a mess. The owner are nice and friendly.

best B&B ever :)

We really enjoyed our stay here and felt very welcome, Bob and Yvonne are great hosts! The accomodation is very spacious, nicely decorated, clean and it is very well equipped with tea, coffee, a fridge and so on. The breakfast was delicious! Bob also gave us great tips on what to do around Port Alberni and the Tofino region. We followed his recommendation and went to see the Stamp Falls, where we were able to see salmon juming up the waterfall, really cool! We can only recommend this B&B!

If you are in Port Alberni skip the hotels and go straight to Berkie's!

Berkie's is by far one of the best Bed and Breakfast's we have ever stayed at. The hosts were so hospitable and welcoming and offered helpful tips on the area. The attention to detail was far beyond our expectations. The entire lower level of the home was for our use. A big bedroom (with a very comfortable bed!), a cozy living space with a large TV, and a dining area complete with microwave, fridge, coffee maker and tea. There were even homemade cookies waiting for us when we arrived! The breakfast on both mornings was absolutely AMAZING! We felt like we were in a 5 star restaurant! The host even called us in advance to find out our dietary needs as we mentioned we were vegetarian. We highly recommend Berkie's!!

This place was absolutely wonderful, probably the best bed & breakfast I’ve ever stayed at. The entire basement space was the guest area, with a full sitting area, small dining area stocked with coffee/tea, a mini fridge and microwave, separate bedroom and bathroom. The entire space was so cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was incredible and the one morning when we were rushing to head to Pacific Rim, Yvonne packed up leftovers we could take to go. Felt right at home the entire time.

Perfect place to stay

Absolutely amazing acommodation with very kind hosts. We had special request (vegan diet) and it wasn't problem. The breakfasts were delicious and homemade. We highly recommend to stay here! Probably the best acommodation we have ever had, we felt like home.

Our stay was at Berkie's was perfect! Accomodation is super spacious, breakfast was amazing (everything made from scratch by Ivonne who is super nice and a wonderful cookl!) and we even got to use the BBQ. Bob also gave us very useful tips and very nice conversation. Overall, an amazing stay, totally recommend it, worth every penny!!
