We really enjoyed our stay at the home. It had everything we needed, was directly on the most beautiful part of Suttons Bay, and was easy walking distance to town. Great house, great experience overall.
No complaints and very thankful to the owners.
If I had to call out anything to be aware of: it is directly on the M-22 highway, and directly adjacent to a public park, which makes access easy but also reduces privacy. We also paid a crazy amount for the house since we wanted the 4th of July week, but it was not cheap!

The house was in a good location for the wedding and was adequate for the family members that stayed with us. It was great being on the lake and within a short walk to Sutton's Bay restaurants, etc. Great for a family gathering.

The location was great. The service was excellent. Exactly what we needed for 3 Families with a wide range of ages. Something for everyone. Thank you so much.

Good accommodations, excellent help
I rented the house for a group of people attending a family reunion. Other houses were used as well. The house at 124 S Shore is an older house, located close to town and right on the bay. It's a little hard to find (the red garage door helps!) and very close to the south end of town - within walking distance.
We had a few minor issues with sliding doors on the laundry and an umbrella outside but otherwise it's in very good condition and was quite comfortable.
Most of the help I got was from Pam and all of that was on the phone. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable and helped me get things started. I made a final call when we left and to say thanks and goodbye.
The property was pretty much as advertised and I was not disappointed. The people involved in managing our stay were very professional and helpful.

Property in Disrepair
We paid way too much per night for this property for our family attending a local wedding. My objective is to save other families from this same disappointing experience. The plus side of this property is its location— lovely view and close to town. But that is where the positive ends. The exterior of the cottage is run down, the deck is peeling, and the dining table on the deck is peeling as well. The umbrella in the table has some sort of cloth holding the umbrella upright. The grill was filthy, so we bought cleaner and scrubbed ourselves before using. The sand by the lake is old and dirty, the beach is small and shared. The beach chairs uncomfortable and unattractive, the fire pit is functional but uninviting. The house itself is dark, the furniture uncoordinated, worn out (some pieces broken), floors and rugs unclean. The kitchen utensils, plates and glasses are also a collection of cheap and unmatched items. The pans are worn out, many showing rust stains. The broom in the kitchen was curled up on itself— unusable on a floor desperate to be swept. The bedrooms have sheets that are of poor quality and also unmatched. The curtains are sheer and provide no protection from the traffic noise. My spouse had to repair a falling door on our first night. The bathrooms are dated. The appliances work, but at 25% of what you might expect— hours to dry a few towels. The air conditioning vents are concentrated shots of cold air and extremely loud. The screens are damaged or missing.
The linoleum is buckling and the carpet held down by silver duct tape. There is a long history of complaints on this property. I only wish we had done our due diligence and gone somewhere else.

Early Summer Paradise
We could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the condition of the property and the surrounding grounds. We are VERY picky regarding cleanliness and reasonable functionality of a property as I travel for work. The cottage was perfect for our 2 families, and the grounds led directly to dock which is also adjacent to the city park. Our Property Manager was super responsive and checked in with us throughout to make sure we had everything. We could not have been more pleased and we will return! Thank you for the PERFECT vacation!♥️

We had a fabulous time, this property is huge and in a great location! Lake Michigan is just steps away!

Great location but rundown lake house
The location was amazing. You are right on Suttons Bay and near a park with a nice sandy beach and calm waters. Nice fire pit too. Great place for my dogs to swim. But the pictures of this house are a far cry from its actual condition. From the online pictures, I thought this was a very upscale house especially given the nightly rental rate. Not so. We arrived after sundown and were very disappointed at the disrepair of the lake house. The rooms are 1950's except for two nice bathrooms. The master bedroom has very old carpeting and a very small outdated bathroom. The hallway buckles when you walk. The kitchen dishwasher top drawer fell out when you tried to load the dishes. Don't be fooled by the pictures.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
This property is definitely neglected and run down. The person that took the pictures of each room is a genius with Photoshop. There wasn’t one room that looked like the VRBO site pictures. No air-conditioning on the second floor and it was hot! Not on the beach and what beach you should be able to see was overgrown with brush so the view was not a view at all. When I told the manager that ice machine was impacted and broken in the refrigerator, she told me ‘it’s old- go buy some ice.’ The windows were absolutely filthy and the sills were filled with bugs and dirt. I really wish I had something positive to say but I don’t.
Feel like such a fool-Never again.

We enjoyed the property and would return. Only recommendations would to not have that pine tree there over the beach/fire pit area. Everything was covered in sap....very annoying and messy. Also. The master bedroom bathroom is moldy and needs repair. Other than that nice place.

This was a great property for our annual family vacation. The lake was across the street, we were very close to town, right across the street from the grocery store. However, when we arrived to the property, it was filthy. It didnt look as if it had been cleaned prior to our arrival. The rugs hadnt been vacuumed, floors hadnt been swept/mopped, dust on every surface. There were no towels available to us. The toaster was broken. Water was leaking from the kitchen ceiling. The refrigerator was filthy, with spills & crumbs. One of the kids beds appeared to have dirty sheets, as our child got in the first night and said it was filled with sand. There were no clean sheets available to us to change her sheets. I will say that the property manager did respond very quickly and provided us with more towels, a new toaster, and other cleaning products. Also, there is an apartment connected to the back of the house, which wasnt clear to us prior to our visit. I was very concerned about our 5 children being too noisy and disturbing the family that was renting that space. Overall, we had a good stay, but I think the property needs to be spotless when renters arrive. That just turned us off the moment we arrived.

The absolute BEST quality of this cottage is LOCATION! It is an easy walk to downtown Suttons Bay!
The location is great but the cottage itself is run down and was not clean. The refrigerator was not cooling most of the week and it leaked. There is an ATTACHED apartment with only a single interior door separating the house to the apartment. The deck is small and in need of attention. The yard, beach, dock, and fire pit is all shared with tenants in the attached apartment and 3 additional properties. It wasn't a problem for us but definitely not private. There is a lot to do in the area and awesome restaurants right downtown which is walking distance to the cottage. We rented kayaks and a paddle board and kept them right at the cottage. We loved our vacation time with family, the location, food and fun in the area but the cottage itself was just average and overpriced.

good location
Pictures on site are a little deceiving, in the listing the square footage is not listed (which was my fault for not asking.) and when we arrived we realized that the property was kind of close "living quarters" for the group we had. Bedrooms were fine but only one area for people to gather inside and a table on the smallish deck. The house was clean except for a mold problem in the master bath. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk into Suttons Bay. The park right next door was a help since the "water front" at the cottage was not swimming friendly. Over all it was a good vacation spot but just a little smaller thank we hoped. The EVOLVE company was VERY VERY VERY hard to communicate with during the rental process. The "on site" were better but did not address the mold problem during our stay at all, just asked for pictures. We took care of it ourselves but it returned immediately, it was only from moisture but the ceiling in the master bath needs to be addressed ASAP. It should be mentioned also the stairs going to the second floor are really steep and a little treacherous. Again this was not a bad rental just a little more in the details needs to be revealed. Also the apartment that is in the same home and rented out, we had absolutely NO PROBLEM with the renters but would have liked to know that it was there and possibly available for an additional rental while you are there and also that you have another family living in the same home (separate entrances) We did enjoy our stay in Suttons Bay but probably will not rent this property again.

Spacious, convenient location, great for large groups
Our family loved the big cottage for our parents anniversary celebration! 14 of us slept comfortably. The house is so close to downtown Suttons Bay, and is conveniently located by the park. Greg and Carole stopped by on our second day to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. Great house for our large family!

Great Location, huge cottage
I rented this cottage for a group of 10 adults. The location was fantastic. It has beach access, is right next to a public park and beach and is walking distance from downtown Sutton's Bay. There are rooms good for kids and the cottage is fully stocked. We had a fantastic weekend!

2nd time stay
This is the 2nd year in a row we've stayed at this house. We had two families of 5 staying and it was the perfect size. The location is the best! Short walk to downtown Suttons Bay and across from Hop Lot and the grocery store. The bonfire area is great and the public beach is right next door so we used that instead of the private beach area to give us more space, the park there is great for the kids! The only complaint would be that the dryer wasn't working for the first half of our stay and that was a huge inconvenience. Carol was very accommodating with this. Also wish there was a TV in the bedroom upstairs with the queen bed, we used this as a second "master". We would definitely stay here again! Love it, would highly recommend!!!!

Perfect Up North Getaway
We stayed in the large cottage with a group of friends and had a blast! With a gorgeous view of Suttons Bay, modern amenities in the kitchen, and plenty of space, you can have the Up North experience you've been waiting for! Access to downtown Suttons Bay is simple -- just a short walk to downtown and the cute shops and restaurants (that is, if you actually want to leave the cottage!). It has great access to championship golf and the plentiful wineries that dot the Leelanau peninsula. It is an extremely comfortable cottage with a multitude of bedrooms and bathrooms so the family or group of friends can stay together. My wife and I can't wait to visit again!

Amazing Location with Tons of Space!
My husband and I stayed in the main house with 8 other friends for a weekend in May. Only a block from Suttons Bay downtown, we were able to walk to breakfast and the shops (at which we made several purchases), which was extremely convenient
I would 100% recommend these cottages for a family, friends or even romantic vacation. There is space enough to sleep a lot of people and more importantly- enough bathrooms! You are also steps away from Traverse, the wineries, and right on the water. You can't beat that! Great "Up North" getaway!

Best house, best location in Suttons Bay.
My husband and I stayed in the big house with 4 other couples for a long weekend. We had an absolute blast. The linens and towels were top of the line. We cooked two nights and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We were able to walk to breakfast and into town each morning which was lovely, and enjoyed a perfect bonfire on the beach for our final night. Additionally, we enjoyed golf and a chartered wine tour within miles from the cottage. Highly recommend this house, it has everything you need for a fabulous experience.

You will love this place!
My wife and I rented the Bayview Cottage. It had a nautical theme we loved. Very nice appliances. New paint throughout (white, blue, and a cheerful yellow). Really nice. Really clean. Very nice neighbors in cottages nearby who would wave but let you have your privacy. You just won't believe the views of Suttons Bay morning and night until you see them for yourself! Sailboats, I mean picturesque; really pretty. Beach is 30 yards out the door. Firewood provided. Near Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, and we even drove up and across the Macinac Bridge one day. Do yourself a favor and book the reservation. You will love it. It's really, really nice.

Outstanding in every way!
Beautiful waterfront property. Perfectly outfitted, ideal for a crowd like ours of five old friends. Room to spread out, a dock for swimming, laundry facilities, fabulous towels, a fireplace for late nights, and TVs, too. The owner provided sparkling wine, coffee and loads of helpful information. It's across the street from a terrific grocery store, and adjacent to two bike paths. A five minute walk into town for movies and dinner, plus loads of shopping. So much to see within a half an hour of the cottage, from wineries to dunes. Absolutely perfect!

Cottages by Sutton's Bay
Great place for a crowd. Thought the noise would be a problem but it wasn't since the back of the house faces the bay. My grandsons could play in the years without fear of any traffic. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and good knives. We cook!
Lots of towels too. I only request a shade in the room with one queen on the door to the little porch.

Fourth of July holiday
Our two combined families of 9 people (4 adults, 5 kids) had a wonderful time at this beautiful property and ideal setting. We had a boat with us, so the close beach access and dock worked out perfectly for us. We enjoyed being on a bike trail (the kids rode on it a lot) and near a sidewalk into downtown (2 blocks away) because we took advantage of that quite a bit with our whole crew. We could even walk across the street to a nearby new brewery. The 5-bedroom house accommodated all of us nicely, even allowing for guests to visit comfortably. We were glad to have WiFi access, a washer and dryer, and the outdoor grill. We would stay here again!

Panoramic bay view, Beautifully updated
We stayed at this lake house for two nights during the winter while skiing and snow-tubing in Traverse City with two adults and four children: two 11-year-olds and two almost-5-year-olds. Communication regarding arrangements prior to our arrival was excellent and we encountered no problems finding the cottage or entering despite the fact that we arrived after 10 pm on New Years Eve! We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of sparkling wine and a package of locally made cookies to enjoy upon our arrival --- a nice touch!
We loved the open-concept first floor that combines the great room, kitchen and dining area. The great room, with panoramic windows on three sides, provide a breathtaking view of the bay. The adjoining kitchen, which shares the bay view, was fully modernized with beautiful granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and modern cabinetry. It was stocked with everything needed to cook meals and eat comfortably in the dining area at the large farmhouse-style table. I felt like I was in a beautiful Pottery Barn or Arhaus inpired retreat. We enjoyed the many personal touches including the basket of 6 ultra soft lap blankets for snuggling under while watching the ball drop at midnight on the extra large flat screen TV, the Fiesta dinnerware that added color to our meals, and the games and books. We had plenty of space on the first floor for the small kids and adults while the pre-teens enjoyed TV and reading in the second floor loft room. Oh, and the house was spotless.
The location was perfect with the lake view, the park next door, the grocery store across the street, the trail behind the grocery store stretching from Suttons Bay to Traverse City, one block from restaurants and shops. We had forgotten that the next morning after our arrival was New Years Day, and we couldn't buy groceries that morning, but there were restaurants open in Suttons Bay, one block away, so we had great options there.
We highly recommend this house, the owners, and the management team. Everyone had a great time and wants to go back. The kids call it “our cottage." 5 stars!

Great view!
Nice way to have family stay together, but not easy for people age 55 and over. Bunk beds are not real comfortable. Beautiful view and we really enjoyed the fire pit! Easy to visit and enjoy Sleeping Bear Dunes for the day and the Leelanau Golf Club at Bahle Farm was close and very nice. Well equipped kitchen and nice updates to the bathrooms.
