About this house rental
(For availability purposes please leave an inquiry before making a booking request )
3-5 minute walk to Mountain House Lifts, Ski Schools, Ski Rentals. Private and secluded outdoor hot tub facing the Snake River (not the busy Keystone Rd.) Private garage parking and driveway.
Our 1834 sqft 'Blue Coyote' townhouse is named after Keystone's infamous wolf-like Blue Coyote that roams the wetlands around the Snake River. It is a short 5-minute walk from your door to the Mountain House Lifts, but best of all, when you're the most tired, it is ski-in to the road in front of the Ironwood complex. A 35-yard walk to our private single car garage through some evergreen trees gets you to a place to rest your tired feet.
Little Red Riding Hood can walk directly to the Mountain House base that is just 220 yards or a 5-minute walk through a skier parking lot to the Mountain House Base. Keystone provides red wagons to carry your kids and/or equipment to make that short trip extra easy. The Green Line Bus stops at the entrance of Ironwood Townhouses. Keystone Ski School, rentals and dinning can all be found at the lower Mountain House Base area. The Mountain House Base ski lifts are far less crowded than the River Run gondola. It is a wonderful secrete to keep quiet!
'What big eyes you have...the better to see you with, my dear.' Staying home in the Blue Coyote is a cozy joy with soaring windows and vaulted ceilings that overlook enchanting Snake River and Tenderfoot Mountain vistas. You are steps from Schoolmarm; the longest (3.1 miles) Green Run in North America. You are so near Schoolmarm that you can detour off between Sage Brush, click off your skis and walk across the street to Ironwood. In fact, you can gaze at the Schoolmarm lighted run from the master bed. If you are wearing a bright red hood, you can be seen skiing down the mountain from the Ironwood Townhouses complex!
'What big ears you have...the better to hear you with, my dear.'
The sounds of the Snake River rushing by can be heard from nearly every room. The Snake runs about 20 yards from our back deck. Ironwood is a 14-unit, quiet townhouse complex that feels delightfully secluded despite the fact it is so close to both the Mountain House and River Run amenities.
'What big Hands You Have...the better to rub together in front of the fire, my dear.' Blue Coyote's guests can sit fireside on nippy nights. Or, guests can choose to take a dip in the private 6-8 person-hot tub to warm up under the falling snow and glistening stars. On a clear night, guests sitting in the hot tub look up to see Ursula Minor (The Little Dipper). The private hot tub is located on the back deck overlooking the Snake River. The hot tub is extraordinarily secluded.
'What big teeth you have...the better to eat you with, my dear.' The Blue Coyote's kitchen is well-equipped with everything from Flour to a Fondue pot. A 5-burner gas range and an outdoor grill make cooking a delight. However, some may rather eat at the world-acclaimed Keystone restaurants, like Alpenglow Stube, The Ranch, Snake River Saloon, Der Fondue Chessel or The Ski Tip Lodge. Our fondest memories are hiking/snow shoeing to a yurt at the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse at Ski Cooper near Leadville (Reservations necessary). Our favorite pizza joint, Pizza 101, is pickup or delivery only and is within walking/biking distance. Each restaurant is a special and memorable experience.

Wonderful large condo with its own hot tub just outside the door. Ski lifts were just a quick walk across the parking lot. Beautiful views from the main windows of kitchen/living area!

Our daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren joined us for a ski vacation. The townhome was the perfect size, allowed all of us to retreat to our quiet corners or gather for meals and games. The kids loved their bunkbeds and their own private TV viewing room. There were lots of board games for the kids to enjoy. And we all enjoyed sitting in the hot tub watching the snow flakes fall.

Enough sleep space for a family of 8 with 4 adults and 4 teens. Kitchen is small, but has everything you need for cooking. 5 minute walk to Mountain house Peru lift. Garage has ski racks for hanging up skis and chairs for sitting to put on ski boots.

Short walk to the lift! Everything was great. The heated garage was nice to keep our gear in. We had a great time staying here.

We were very comfortable and it was very close to the lifts.

Kitchen was nicely equipped. Heated garage is a plus. Great for families or 3 couples with each room having its own level and bathroom. Couch and chairs in main level were uncomfortable and old. Radiant heat kick plates were falling off. Dishwasher doesn't clean dishes completely. All food has to be completely rinsed off first. Sliding glass door to hot tub is very hard to slide open and close. Overall it is a nice property; overpriced.

We loved staying here for a fun little ski weekend! Easy access to keystone & A Basin, perfect setup for hot tub time, and all around convenient. Would stay again!

House is nice and roomy. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. You will not be able to park a large car except a compact car in the garage but it is nice to have a place to store ski gear. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was nice that it was just right outside the door. Convenient to have washer and dryer right in the house. The location was ok but not as close to the center of town as I would have liked. Be aware that there lots of stairs so if you have elderly people or small children with you, you may look at different options. Carpet needs replaced soon and some of the comforters were stained but overall clean. The owner and managing company were easy to communicate with.

Our stay was wonderful. Had everything we needed and property owner was very responsive. Great quiet location and we enjoyed the hot tub! Very easy access to shuttles or just a short walk to River Run!

The space was a perfect fit for our two families. The kids used the four bunk beds and full bathroom on the lower level, one set of parents used the king bedroom and full bathroom on the main level and the other set of parents used the upper level king bedroom and ensuite bathroom. We cooked breakfast in the kitchen every morning that was stocked with a nice assortment of basic pantry items, knives, cookware, and dinnerware. The hot tub on the deck off the lower level with views of the creek and hills behind was also lovely to relax in after a day of skiing.
The proximity to Keystone was a definite positive. The short walk through the parking lot across the street to put our skis on and ski over to the Peru Express chairlift made it easy for our group to begin and end the day skiing at their own pace.

We had a wonderful time spending Easter weekend at this home. It was in a perfect location close to the gondola and other lift chairs, all walking distance. The hot tub was a plus we all enjoyed it! The views from the home are beautiful of the mountains, great layout for a family of two with kids. Having a garage was a plus and communication with the owner was also great! Will definitely think about staying here again next time we visit Keystone.

This property was absolutely perfect for our ski trip! From the cleanliness, spacious floor plan, and location - we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The owner, Danielle made herself available before and during our stay which was very reassuring if we needed anything. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hope to be back again soon!!

Beautiful condo that is close to the lifts and bus stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and made wonderful memories.

The place is well equipped. We like the spacious interior. The bathrooms have been remodeled and have nice, new fixtures. The layout of the condo is over several levels. So, if you don't like stairs, pick a different complex. Walking to the lift is maybe 5 minutes. One day when it had snowed, we were able to ski back all the way to the front door. I like that his condo has a garage to keep the car ice-free at night.

Will stay here again, but for longer next time. Everything was neat, tidy and in order. Got caught in in early morning snowstorm so could not take out the trash ( it was snowing sideways Tuesday morning!) but i am sure the maid service arrived right after we left !

We had three families staying here for a 5 day ski vacation. The location is perfect, being able to walk to the Peru lift and close to the bunny slope as well for the small kids. The accommodation had everything we needed, was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable, we even prepared several meals in the kitchen for all of us. The host was very helpful when we had a sick child in helping us to find extra cleaning supplies. We had a great visit and are already talking about coming back to the same place in future seasons.

We spent a week at keystone with our grown/married children. We enjoyed skiing/snowboarding, snowmobiling, the hot tub, games, crafts, dinners, gondola ride, snow fort, fireworks, and Christmas. The host was very quick to respond and helpful. The kitchen is well stocked. Getting used to the boiler was tricky at first. The only suggestion is to offer more towels for the hot tub. Other than that, we loved our trip and have wonderful memories to always remember!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Very Enjoyable and Accommodating.
We have little ones, so staying close to Mountain House for their lessons was very convenient, as we were able to walk to all lessons and lifts for us adults. The home is set up very well. Everything worked, ie fireplace, hot tub and the kitchen had all the necessary cooking hardware for a big family to cook. The downstairs was perfect for the kids, as they had their own play area and bedroom w bunkbeds. Us adults were able to find peace upstairs, which made for a nice balance; no stress . . . just right.

Amazingly convenient townhouse
We had a wonderful week at this 3 level townhouse with our family from Michigan. The master on the third level was a perfect place for the family with our newborn granddaughter. It was quiet yet large enough for the pack and play that we rented from a local company in Dillon. The bunk room was really nice to have. Our 4 year old loved being on the top bunk which was extremely safe with high rails to protect her from falling. The hot tub was clean, very hot and a wonderful end to each of our days. . The location was awesome! We pulled our 4 year old on her skis all the way to Peru lift and we were able to come in for a hot bowl of homemade chili for lunch, take a nap, and the location worked really well for the nursing baby. At night, we enjoyed the gas fireplace while playing cards around the large round dining table. All bathrooms included an ample supply of clean towels, toilet paper, Kleenex, hand soap, and body lotion. The best part was that the owner was very communicative and always responded to our questions in a timely manner.

Good Location, low hospitality
The place is in a great location and was perfect for our trip. I really enjoyed the house; however, there were a few things that went wrong and the owner’s response was very off putting and unhelpful.
The first thing was check-in was at 4:00, it was between 4:45-5:00 when we were actually able to get in because the cleaning crew was still there. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. However, when we told the owner about this, they questioned us and did not believe us that it was true.
The second thing was the garage door was not functioning properly, and in the check-in information, it specifically said that when the temperature is below freezing, the garage door has to be closed. Once again, not a big deal, but it was the owner’s response to us that frustrated me. I contacted the owners right away. They asked if we had tried pushing the button, which we had. Then told us we had to stay until the property manager got there to look at it because the property manager had to check our ids. We had dinner reservations at 7:30 and had to miss those because we waited for them to arrive (they got there around 8:15). Then when the property manager got there, he said that the owners were the ones who asked that he check our ids and that is not the norm for them to do this. The property manager was helpful and told us some strategies to get the garage door to work.
The next day, we tried those strategies and it still didn’t work for us. After about 15-20 minutes of trying, if finally worked. I felt hesitant to contact the owners about this because of their response from the previous day. But they definitely need to get their garage door looked at.
The only finally note I have is they need to shovel a path to the hot tub. It was treacherous to get in out because of the ice/snow build up. It would definitely not be safe for someone with mobility issues.
None of these issues would have been something I would have cared too much about, if when we spoke to the owners, they would have been hospitable and not made us wait for the property manager to get there to check our ids. It definitely put a damper on our first evening, especially since we had plans to go out and ended up having to stay in.
