Beautifully appointed waterfront studio-condo located in the peaceful Pirates Bay resort in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

This resort is a hidden gem, providing a quiet, relaxed holiday base in a great location. It is located just outside of the busy tourist areas whilst being only a two minute drive to the beautiful Emerald Coast's white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and eight miles from Destin. There are two large free-form pools to enjoy, grilling stations and beautiful grounds for relaxing.

Our unit is pet friendly (additional charge) and is located on the third floor of the popular ‘A’ building within Pirates Bay. The spectacular views of the Santa Rosa Sound, the private marina, gulf of Mexico and the wonderful sunsets are stunning. Pirates Bay is truly a unique resort, which offers a quiet getaway from normal life.

A306 is decorated to a very high standard, perfect for a couple or a small family of up to four. There is a queen size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa. Everything you need is provided for short or long term stays including a kitchenette with a small 2 burner glass stove, microwave and full size refrigerator; note there is no oven. There is a 40" LED TV with cable/HBO, DVD player, free high speed Wi-Fi, tea/coffee (Keurig) making facilities and a full ensuite bathroom.

The views from the private 3rd floor balcony are one of the great features for a relaxing waterfront stay. Enjoy the two seat bistro set and watch the boats on the Intracoastal Waterway while enjoying a cold drink.

There are two large pools to cool down in or simply lounge around the edge and soak up the sunshine.

A picnic and grilling area is available for guest use. Two grilling stations and two table sets are waiting for a relaxing BBQ whilst watching the boats come and go in the private marina.

Stroll along the marina or take a fishing pole down to the docks and catch some fish, children under the age of 16 do not require a license (please see local regulations for fishing). There are grouper, mullet, sea trout, sting ray and flounder year round (especially during the summer months).

The resort has an elevator, guest laundry facilities, vending machines and free parking.

The cleanness was exceptional. Great place for a couple to stay. Location is on the bay we expected beach access. Elevator was especially slow and HOT. Having luggage cart to bring your luggage to the end of the third floor would have helped. Over all nice place for a couple.

We loved this location! It was perfect! Pool was clean and pretty big. The easy access to the docks was a huge plus for my husband, myself, and our 2 boys (10 & 13). We enjoyed being able to fish at our leisure. Do keep in mind it is a studio sized unit, but my family of managed just fine. Would absolutely stay here again.

The space was clean and well stocked. Host was attentive and available if we had questions. The only problem was the listing should have said "studio". It appeared to be 1 bedroom because it showed 2 different pictures with different blankets on the beds. It was very cramped for 3 adults. Otherwise we loved it and would stay again.

Everything was wonderful. Quiet and very wonderful. From the 3rd floor spectacular view of sunsets and such. The only thing which will keep us from coming back again…though this is a pet friendly facility, there is no acceptable place to have your dog (we brought a 12 pound Shitzu) to relax or run a bit. Only place the dog could get out to was out on the parking lot ar a. That was a bummer.

Just like my rating. The property could have been cleaned better. This studio is as advertised. Great for a short stay with one or two people. As for the community grills, they really need an upgrade. Overall well worth the expense.

This was a small but comfortable studio condo with plenty of amenities. I loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with absolutely anything that you would need for a long or short stay. The balcony and view is spectacular. The only reason for the slightly lower rating is that there was a mix up with cleaning that involved us having to change out dirty sheets from the previous tenant and clean a filthy bathroom. I would also recommend a new pullout couch soon, as it was stained and not very comfortable. The owners, however, apologized for the mix up and had great communication before and during our stay. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Rental was clean and well prepared for our visit. We had trouble with access code and our hosts were very helpful in getting us the information we needed. The weather in early March was wet, windy, and cool on most days but that was to be expected. Tenants around us were a little loud on several nights but we were able to deal with it. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay.

Inside of studio was very nice. Very nice remodeled bathroom. Enjoyed balcony when it was warm enough. Nice sunsets. Nice view of sound. Elevator needed new light. Very much appreciated that they are pet friendly, but dog yard needed to be picked up. Parking lot well lit. Nice to have Olive Garden next door. Very short drive to beach. Short walk to nice park - Liza Jackson; although very busy road. Aimee was great at communication.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very nice and had everything that we needed. The view was great and pool area was very nice. It was close to the ball fields for my granddaughter's softball tournament. It was very convenient to great restaurants and the beach. The hosts were very helpful. We would stay here again.

Had a great time staying at this property. It was nice to have access to the pool and boat docks. The location of the property was perfect to drive a short distance to the beaches. The property is close to everything. The owners area fantastic too!!! Great communication with them. It was a great trip!

This condo was lovely with a beautiful view of the marina and pool. I did think from the listing that it was a 1 bedroom and found that it was a studio. The owners have outfitted the room with many thoughtful items including coffee, dish/hand soap and shampoo. The Olive Garden is right next door and we used their take out each night as we had our little dog with us. This condo is not right in the heart of the action, but a short drive to Fort Walton Beach and the more active area of Destin and their beaches.

We enjoyed our long term (60 days) stay in this studio condo. The unit was well kept and suppled well. We discovered that a long term stay in a studio can be challenging. This unit is excellent for a shorter stay. Lovely views from balcony which faces west. The owners were excellent to work with.

The property was great; however, it was so cold I couldn't enjoy my visit in the way I had intended. Stayed inside all but one day. The park nearby was a nice .5 mile walk. My dog and I enjoyed it. Owners were great. Communicated well and answered all questions in a timely manner.

Our little condo was perfect! We had two couples staying for the weekend so we utilized the sleeper sofa and the bed. The bed was comfortable and the sleeper sofa was about as comfortable as any sleeper sofa can get. Our dog Elsa came along and stayed with us too. The location was perfect and close to everything. The pool was amazing and we utilized the grill and cooked out one evening. If you want a clean, comfortable, and safe place to stay that is in a good location , then this is a great place to stay. We will rebook!
