This is a perfect place to come with multiple age family members.
Beautiful views, relaxing for adults . Huge lawn for outdoor games, lovely swimming hole big enough to paddle board. We love it here!

We recently held a retreat at Bodhana, the grounds were perfect! the home & sleeping accomodations were comfortable and clean. We really could not have asked for a better place to hold our retreat! I'm very grateful for the owners grace and ease of communication. Everyone attending was in awe of the view, they loved the trail, creeks, beach and the general vibe! It is my hope that we can come back and do it again! Namaste

What a beautiful property and close to the heart of town. We enjoyed the ease of living the house offered. However, the oven under the stove would turn on by itself, especially concerning when we were out for the day. The microwave oven does not heat well and the stovetop poorly conducts heat. Replacing these appliances would be well worth the safety of future guests. Thank you for the gift of this precious space. All of us are grateful.

We’ve stayed at Bodhana before and it was great both times. We boarded and skied at Shasta Ski Park and had a fantastic weekend.

We loved this place so much. It was very family friendly, equipped with all of the necessities plus snow toys and lots of games. Perfect getaway with the kids and grandkids. Close to lots of snow play areas and to town for supplies or restaurants .
And the venue itself is like a secluded retreat .

Great place to have a small family reunion. Cozy hideaway. Comfortable furnishings. Stunning view of Mt. Shasta. Family enjoyed the pond, the zipline and the trail. Fully stocked, kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Game room was a nice added bonus. Owner responded immediately to communications. Thank you Wendy for an amazing stay.

What a lovely and serene place! The fun is built in with the lake, the beach, the zip line, the decks, balconies, and surrounding paths into the wilderness. We used the big tables for eating, creating and game playing. We enjoyed the game room and the piano too. Loved the sound of the creek from our bedrooms. Such a fun and well equipped kitchen. We could not have enjoyed our stay more! Everything was beyond perfect. Thank you thank you thank you Wendy. We hope to make it an annual event.

This property is a special one. It is very spacious, with our group of 9 easily finding their own bed, with options to spare. The grounds are superb, with the highlight being the huge green lawn and pond. We spend most of our time playing lawn games and eating on the patio during our Sept visit. The kitchen was stocked with every amenity most will ever need, including less common items for rentals like parchment paper, a microplane, cast iron dutch oven, etc. The oven was a little tricky to figure out as I think the selector knob must be off (bake, broil, etc). Nevertheless, we easily made every meal during our 3 night stay.
I've never stayed in a rental that had this many activities in one place. If you have a wide and varied group, there is space and something for everyone to do. I didn't even find the 2nd creekside deck until the morning we left!
If I have a multi-family trip up to Shasta again, this will be the first place I look.

Absolutely beautiful Northern California property became a family favorite! Quiet, peaceful, and welcoming, Bodhana is perfectly set up for families. Large indoor and outdoor dining tables accommodated our 8 adults and 1 toddler, huge grassy area to run and play, pond with a sandy beach, paddle boards and zip line, garage with ping pong, foozball, air hockey, many places to hang out inside the house and out, and the most incredible view of Mt. Shasta. We walked or rode bikes to Lake Siskiyou where the fishermen had lots of luck, enjoyed a day on the McCloud River, visited the fish hatchery and museum, and spent hours lounging and looking at the trees. The house is perfect and the kitchen is stocked with cooking pans, pots, utensils…anything a person might need to prepare breakfasts, lunches, or dinners. We were sad to leave!

So fun. Great people, great place and the location was perfect. Super close to town and only a quick drive to Shasta ski resort. We hope to come back in the summertime for some fly fishing and fun times. Love that the kitchen was so well equipped for the size of our group and the master sweet bed, linens and pillows were dreamy.

We enjoyed staying on this beautiful property. Lots of details in the house were well thought out (like maps of the kitchen and lots of power strips for easy outlet access). Great view of Shasta. We went sledding and played in the little bit of snow on the ground at the house. Thank you for a fun weekend for our big group of adults and little ones.

Property was gorgeous! House interior was a bit dated, but that only added to the charm of the week cozied up by the wood burning stove and reconnecting with the family. House has everything you can think of for cooking and supplies (and no shortage of essentials like laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid, TP, etc). Really was a great relaxing week and I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Wendy!

Bodhana had everything we needed, from kitchenware to games/books, and outdoor activities for the kids. The location is private, yet close to Lake Siskiyou and town. The kids loved the pond and the zip line. Darts and ping pong were loved by adults and kids alike. Thank you for a great vacation!

Peaceful Place
The place and space was amazing. We had such a relaxing time catching up with family, moms 80th and sisters 60 birthdays made for fun celebrations and lots of old stories. The property and views provided fun walks down to the creek and the lake, and when the wind shifted and came off Mt Shasta our 80 degree day had shots of very cool air conditioning! Plenty of of amenities from town just a few miles away. Even got in some great singletrack Mt biking at nearby Gateway Trails. So much fun.

Great place
The property is very very nice and spacious. We spent most of our time in the lake doing zip line, riding the rubber boat, relaxing and our Labrador had so much fun swimming. Kids had a blast since there are so many toys for them to play. There is also a short trail to the creek. Nice view of Mount Shasta. We will definitely book this property again. We are already planning to visit again this summer.

Perfect getaway
Words cannot describe how much we loved or stay at Bodhana! There were six of us in our group, four adults and two young children, and there was enough space for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves but also come together for group activities and meals. The amenities were amazing, an entire game room full of air hockey, pool table, foosball and plenty of toys for our younger kids to play with as well. Not to mention the entire outdoor space, including the zip line! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed to cook and the views of Mt. Shasta were breathtaking. We also enjoyed the proximity of the house to many other things. The drive to town was very short if we needed anything and just a short drive down the road from Lake Siskiyou. Needless to say we can’t wait to return again someday!

Great birthday getaway!
Spent my birthday weekend with my wife and two other couples. Can't say enough about Bodhana. The location is wonderful. It rained a great deal while we were there, but when it was clear, the views of Mt. Shasta were spectacular. The location is close to town, but completely secluded when you are at the property. The house and outbuilding were more than adequate for all of us. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The place is fully stocked including lots of dry wood for the very easy to light wood stove. The kitchen is ample and with everything you need. Communication with the owners was stellar. All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended.

Works great for groups of 6-10
Many areas in and outside the house and adjacent buildings to interact and conversely, plenty of space for privacy. Well appointed. Close to downtown Mt. Shasta - food, emergency care, sports shops, golf ... beautiful grounds.

Paradise for small family gatherings
We have stayed at this property several times. It is so lovely
with the creek and pond, the expansive green lawn and backdrop of Mount Shasta. We go out for golf, hiking, skiing or we stay in for berry or apple picking, lawn games, floating on the pond.
There is nice central gathering space as well as private spots to "chill". I especially like mornings on the yoga deck hidden in the trees next to the babbling brook.
Every time we come we discover another area or activity we hadn't noticed before.
The hosts are lovely, gracious people who have created a low key relaxing vacation spot that gives us great pleasure.

Beautiful, tranquil location at Lake Siskiyou
This was our second stay at Bodhana and certainly not our last. The owners are great to work with and the property itself is an idyllic space uniquely oriented between Mt Shasta and Lake Siskiyou. We had a great time *at* Bodhana, and also using it as a launch point for adventures around the region. This time we focused on waterfall hikes, and had a great time. The kids particularly enjoyed the onsite pond in the afternoons, to cool off after a challenging hike.

Absolutely phenomenal stay
Bodhana is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever had the pleaser to stay in. The property in itself is huge and has enough activities to last for days. Highly recommend doing some of the small hikes that start from within the property. The views from the house are absolutely breathtaking. Close to groceries and local services. And yes, the night sky is not to be missed!! Highly recommend Bodhana for an amazing stay at Shasta
