About this cabin rental

This DIAMOND PROPERTY has been complete renovated to meet the standards of "a cut above". Sticks n' Stones is brand new, renovated inside and out. There is a lower unit, "Sticks" and an upper unit, "Stones" . Combine both units for four bedrooms.

Fenced front yard makes for a happy pet!

Stones the upper unit, has 2 Bedrooms and two baths. The master has a king bed with an en suite bath. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a hall bath.

Each unit is equipped with a washer dryer, full kitchen, dinette, living room and fireplace.

The outdoor seating area has a gas grill, plenty of seating, and a large gas fire pit.

Step outside and take ten steps to Main Street and all the shops and restaurants.

This property provided a great place for our family to gather and visit around the fire pits and porches. The home was furnished with everything we needed and Karen was so friendly and made us feel at home. I highly recommend Stones!

We had a wonderful time in the cabin. Loved how close we were to everything. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We got to bring the dog along on this trip, I have to say that may have been the best part. Everything about this place is dog friendly!

Perfect location in Blowing Rock, kids enjoyed the playground and we walked to many restaurants. House was great, beds were comfortable and showers were nice!

This was our second stay at Stones. It is always exceptional. The 70-yr old hard woods are beautiful and spotless. We enjoyed the gas logs and the cozy living room. The kitchen was well equipped for a quick morning breakfast. The property was very quiet, despite having neighbors below us. And we appreciated the dedicated off-street parking. All the shops and restaurants were in short walking distance from us. We have stayed at a few of the Diamond properties and they never disappoint. We enjoyed our stay!

Great up/down duplex near the center of town. Our unit was clean, well decorated and well equipped. The whimsical wall art was a fun bonus. Will be perfect if you have pups or kids and expect a little noise in return for yours. There’s a open school field next door where you can tire out your noise makers when school’s out if the shopping, hiking, or skiing did not. The antler towel rack in the MBR bath will poke if you are klutzes like us.

What an amazing property that is literally steps away from all the action in Blowing Rock! You can walk to everything--to eat dinner, to shop, to go to the park...my children loved every second of it and we even got a little snow for them to experience while we were there. We will be back in the spring when we do our Tweetsie trip! The property has everything you'd want (a kcup machine! an ice maker! already stocked with all the basics!). Highly recommended!

Cute and cozy mountain rental close to everything in Blowing Rock! This was a perfect size for our family of 4 plus our family dog. The place was spotless, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfy. Thank you for having us and we would highly recommend this property. Looking forward to returning as a customer to Diamond properties!

We love Sticks and Stones! Both units are well appointed, comfortable and the location is ideal. The decor is mountain chic and perfect for a mountain get away. You can walk to Main Street which is a must during the busy fall season when traffic and parking is difficult. We love staying here and will be back many times to come.

Immaculately clean, well appointed, and perfectly located. Cheesecake at Flavia's and the Mountain Reuby at Storie Street are a short walk away. Bestie IPA at Blowing Rock Brewing and biscuits at Hellbenders are literally next door. Check in and check out couldn't have been simpler. We came with our dogs for a weekend and enjoyed sitting in a rocker and watching them explore the cute fenced in yard after long walks through a nice, quiet town. One editorial comment that has nothing to do with the property: the very pretty park in the center of town is NOT dog-friendly, even though basically the entire remainder of the town is. It used to be years ago, so not sure what happened. So if you are bringing dogs, definitely recommend staying at Sticks and Stones, but avoid the park!!

My 2nd time staying in this rental. It was just as amazing as I remembered from my last visit. It is conveniently located within walking distance to a number of great restaurants in Blowing Rock. Many allow dogs for outdoor dining. Minutes from several great hikes off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Walking distance to Bass Lake. Karen has created a super dog friendly rental. Small fenced in area for potty breaks. Supplies for baths. Well appointed all around. Loved it.

Perfect location! Lovely little cottage - wonderful property manager. We enjoyed our stay - walked to many restaurants and enjoyed live music across the street. The location is perfect. We had our family of 4 including our dog. Very pet friendly. Lovely park behind the property for the kids and dog. Karen was great - so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Lovely property that felt like home. The location was perfect for our family - we walked to Main Street for shopping/restaurants/Blowing Rock Park and the kids used the elementary school playground/sports field right behind the house. The landscaping is beautiful and we enjoyed hanging outside by the fire pit. Loved that we could bring our dog and he had a fenced yard to frolic in. Excellent experience all around.

This house is perfectly located within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. We enjoyed local watering holes and even ventured over to Grandfather Vineyards. The house is cozy, well-appointed and was perfect for 4 high school friends to gather many decades after graduation!

We stayed here for our Valentine's get-away and loved how close to town we were, less than 2 blocks away! This is one of the cleanest VRBO rentals we have EVER stayed in and the country-chic decor was a delight. If you're older or have small children, be aware that the stairs are narrow and steep with no way to block them off at the top. Our ONLY complaint is how much sound echoed.... we could hear everything happening in the downstairs unit and are sure they could hear our every move and word too... not great for a couples retreat.

This property does not disappoint! The property is conveniently located and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and hikes. The property is wonderfully appointed with fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, comfortable beds and warm and cozy living room with fireplace. We enjoyed dining out and cooking in around the dining table. Being dog lovers, we were delighted this property is dog friendly. I have stayed here before and will definitely be back!

Perfect central location if you want to walk to everything in Blowing Rock! We loved it! We listened to the Inn at Ragged Gardens Music on the Lawn concert while enjoying the fire pit provided with the rental. Decorated so cute, chic rustic, comfortable and clean. Make sure you bring some Kuerig cups for your morning coffee! Make reservations at Best Cellar for a nice meal far in advance! Speckled Trout yummy for casual, still need dinner reservations. But you can’t beat going to Blowing Rock Brewing company a few steps from rental for casual evening walk up meal. The location bonus for people that like to shop is once your bags get too heavy you’re not far away from this rental; take a break put the bags down regroup and head out again! My husband enjoyed watching the football game on the comfy couch while I stepped out again and finished shopping! Didn’t feel rushed because he was happy! Also, close to many great hiking trails and scenic views! Great park near by if you have little ones with you. It is an upstairs unit and they ask you to take shoes off and be mindful of not stomping around for people below.

This property set a new bar on "pet friendly". It had a fenced in yard for those early morning, late night potty breaks. Included dog shampoo and towels for baths after our hikes. The people had a blast too! We walked to almost all our dinners (and treats AKA ice cream) in Blowing Rock. We walked to the tennis courts and took a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway to kayak and to hike. It was super clean and well equipped. Karen obviously payed an incredible amount of attention to detail. This rental has raised the bar on my expectations that few if any other places can match. We HAVE to come back.
