My girls and I have been staying here for years. It’s close to everything we want to see and do. Love the new driveway, it made the whole place feel different. More private.

Beautiful location. So much to do within 30 minutes… Convenient for Kayaking, hiking, shopping, breweries, wineries, restaurants and breathtaking scenery.
Cottage was nice. We were out exploring most of the time but was perfect to come back after a days activity and have a comfortable place to get a nights rest.

I have stayed a week here for about four years in a row. The hosts are always helpful. I love this location. You can hear live music at the Lake Ann Brewery or explore the attractions in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is wonderful with food, grocery, and a brewery just a ten minute walk away and the property itself was just wonderful. The enclosed porch and gorgeous lake views were my favorite and my husband had a blast fishing on the dock and with the row boat. We also enjoyed the quietness of the area, as well as the plentiful outdoor seating and made use of the gas grill twice! We drove to the Traverse City Cherry Festival twice and then also went to Sleeping Bear Dunes and both were just 20-30 min away. My son loved playing outside, sleeping in the porch, and really enjoyed the playground and ice cream that were ten minutes away! We will hopefully be back soon!

My wife and I came up for our 31st anniversary. We usually stay right in or very near TC. We found this place online and it was amazing! Beautiful quiet lake, the house was very nice and we had everything we needed. The little town right around the block was amazing from the Lake Ann Grocery to the Lake Ann Brewery and the restaurant next door. Live music every night at the brewery and great food you can pick up and eat at the surprisingly large venue behind. We will definitely be back!

I have stayed here several times. I enjoy fishing on the lake, but there is always something happening in Lake Ann. The microbrewery, restaurant and well stocked country store are within walking distance.

Out of our many trips back to visit Northern MI since moving away, this rental is our new favorite! Bryan Lake access was blissful and the host’s thoughtfulness was unrivaled - we had everything we needed! My husband , son, and I had just the right space and the reliable internet connection made working remotely a breeze. The Sun room and outdoor spaces make the property feel much larger than expected. Easy access to Lake Ann and the quick trek to TC were perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We’ll certainly be back! 😊

What a lovely spot! This cozy cabin is a perfect location for visiting all the Traverse area spots...Everything was within 20 minutes to a half hour away. A perfect base camp for a great week. Lake Brian, on which the cabin sits, is peaceful and just lovely. We sat out every morning and evening just enjoying the serenity of the lake. We loved having the use of the rowboat and went fishing several times. (If you fish be sure to bring a filet knife, that was the one thing we missed and the one we bought at the store was dull). To our delight, we made friends with a turtle who visited us daily for worm treats (I know it's silly, but it made our vacation...his name is Ernesto btw ;) ) Lake Ann is a small town with everything you need. The grocery is amazing, the Brewery and The Stone Oven were awesome for food, beer, and music and we went several times during the week. The cabin itself is just adorable and very cozy. The pictures are accurate. The place is nicely appointed and perfect for a couple. If you cook at home a lot as we do, I suggest bringing some of your favorite spices, some olive oil and butter, and other things you use regularly. This place is a gem. I would have loved to have met the host but they sure know how to make a guest comfortable. Thanks for the perfect retreat before the start of a busy school year. I do hope that we can come back someday. I highly recommend!.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage! Very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed using the kayaks, row boat, grill, and fire pit. Owners met us at check in and were delightful, we will definitely come back!

The cabin is small - it would fit 2 adults better than a family, but we made it work just fine with 2 adults and 2 kids (10 & 5). The cabin itself is in a little village and a short ways down a more secluded drive (very little traffic). That being said, you are walking distance from the store/park/ice cream/pizza/brewery. The screened porch is awesome, and the fact you can walk down to the water & dock is also great. The owners had provided a rowboat and 2 kayaks for us. We made s’mores with the fire pit too. The owner(s) were responsive and kind. We would definitely stay again. I do wish there was a door instead of a curtain for the bedroom, but it is a small doorway (not sure if a door would fit?) and not a deal breaker. Thank you guys again!

We’ve been here for two years now, a week each time, and we are booked for next year! Great location and super comfortable for us two.

Cute house on the lake
Very cute place. Loved being right on the lake. Needed a fan and the owner had one at the house in under 10 minutes. There is a twin bed on the 3 season room which I loved. The little town of Lake Ann is great and has it's own brewery. The old fashioned grocery store is fantastic as is the coffee house.

Charming little cabin in a serene setting.
Owner was very personable, did a nice job decorating and anticipating our needs during our stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful water and wooded setting. Great "up-north" feel. Definitely would rent again.

Exactly as advertised.
Very quiet setting. We sat on the dock only a few feet from a blue heron fishing. Magical. Also had a spotted deer walking around the property eating while we relaxed on the deck. Cabin was well appointed and we needn't have brought a lot of things because they already provided them (i.e. kitchen equipment).

Relaxation at a perfect place
We really loved our stay at the property. The house is perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed the times when we just relaxed and read on the porch or sat on the dock. But we also could explore the area, because there are so many beautiful places just within half an hour or an hour drive. The owners were kind and very accomodating. Highly recommend the place to those, who want a quiet relaxing vacation.

Great Place!
This was a great place for my husband and I to go to. We loved that there was a little beach and dock area at the cabin for us to use. There was also access to Lake Ann and a larger beach. The cabin was in a great location and centrally located for trips to TC, Sleeping Bear, and Glen Arbor. It’s a great cabin for two people!

Third stay here!
The location is perfect for all the things we love to do. The porch is beautiful for playing games in the evening.

Ameneties
Clean with plenty of ameneties for kitchen, bathroom, use of outdoor grilling, boat and kayak with clear instructions for use. Also, good information regarding the local establishments. I looked for a cupcake pan (6) for toaster oven to make muffins but didn't find one. I would have used it had there been one. I enjoyed my stay.

Great Cabin for a Couple or Small Family
More than happy with our experience. Cabin was clean and had everything you would need. Owners were friendly and responsive. Although it is a bit on the small side, the layout and the extra space with the screened porch makes it feel larger than advertised. The lake is beautiful and the setting is very peaceful and relaxing. A wonderful location for a quiet vacation exploring Northern Michigan.

Great little cabin near town to relax, have a campfire, and fish - but can't recommend for swimming
If you want a small cabin to relax and sleep at in-between trips to the Traverse City area, this place is great! We enjoyed the campfire area, fishing, and kayaking (pretty bad swimmer's itch in Bryan Lake though - more on that later).
I've been going to the Lake Ann area one week per summer for almost 30 years (mostly up the road at Lake View), and this place had some nice comforts that some cabins don't have in the area: a TV, private WiFi, and 1 window unit AC. It unfortunately doesn't have an oven, but it does have a range, grill (on the deck), little toaster oven, and everything else you'd expect in a kitchen.
The deck is shaded and has a nice view.
Me and my wife brought our kids (6 and 8). The cabin is small, but it worked for us. Due to space, I wouldn't advise 2 adult couples staying there though.
For our kids, we were hoping for a nicer swimming area. While there was a nice dock to fish off of, there is no beach at all and the weeds go right up to shore. Also, my daughter got swimmer's itch on her legs early in the week (which we mistook for mosquito bites) while trying to catch minnows. I then got it REALLY bad after kayaking with my legs in the water later in the week. This was the first time I ever got this - apparently it would have helped if I showered and/or toweled off really well afterwards. We never saw a single person swimming in the lake during our trip - and maybe the swimmer's itch was part of the reason.
The little rowboat was nice for fishing - I attached my trolling motor and it took around 2 hours on the lowest reverse setting to get around the lake. We were fishing for bass, and caught many 12" - 14" largemouth, and even caught one that was 21".
The owners were very nice and easy to talk with. They answered all of our questions over email and phone before we got there, and chatted with us in-person on the day we left. Except for the swimming situation, this was a great stay for our family!

Lone Pine Cottage
This cottage was absolutely lovely! Just steps from Bryan Lake; the views were breathtaking! The firepit was cozy with great Adirondack chairs; loved the screened in porch, just can't say enough. It was very well kept & Dan was informative & very friendly, we didn't meet Jeanine. The only slight negative, was the bed mattress, seems to be worn out. We look forward to our return. Thanks Jeanine & Dan for sharing this slice of heaven!
