About this cottage rental
This two story camp was built in 1942 with a western exposure. The camp is surrounded by whispering tall red pines overlooking spring fed Lake Brantingham. There are three bedrooms (two with double beds and one with bunk beds), washer, dryer and a two piece bathroom upstairs. On the main level there is a full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and an open concept dining room/living room with a fireplace. On the lakeside there is a fully screened in porch overlooking picturesque Lake Brantingham. Steps lead down to the boathouse where there is a sundrenched deck with a panoramic view of the lake. On the deck there are built in benches and patio furniture. Here you can enjoy the sun from 10am until it sets. Dinners on the deck overlooking the lake are spectacular and memorable. Two steps from the side deck lead to clear, clean and sparkling water where you can swim and fish. During the late evening star gazing is a must from the upper deck. The camp is located at the end of Cottage Road where is is quiet with less traffic and neighbors are friendly. A canoe, rowboat and life jackets are included. My family had a wonderful time, spending most of it soaking up the sun on the boat house deck. The cottage offered everything we needed, which really only meant a place to lay our heads down at night. We took advantage of everything the outdoors had to offer. In the evenings after the sun went down, we loved to sit on the screened in porch enjoying the quiet night life and time together as a family. The lake was fabulous, perfect for swimming and kayaking. The beautiful sunsets may have been the best part and being able to enjoy them from the boat house deck was amazing! All around is was a top ten vacation and we hope to be back someday!

Great place on the lake with everything you need. My wife and I rented this property for the week after Labor Day weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. We caught the last night of the drive-in, a triple feature, and then spent the week listening to the loons, coyotes, and geese. The weather was a bit changeable so we didn't get to spend as much time on the lake as we wanted but it was still a perfect experience.

Spent summers as a child at this camp (was my Grandma's) I loved my week there. Very relaxing and beautiful evenings on the porch. Sparkling Waters, great name when the sun is going down. Loved every minute of my time there. Can't wait till next year!!!!

We spent a week in July at Sparkling Waters and had a wonderful time. The cottage was spacious & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pans/bowls/griddle - anything I needed to prepare meals was there. The deck over the boathouse was great - we had most of our meals out there and would sit out well after sunset, enjoying the peace, watching the moon rise & the nightly fireworks from one of the neighbors. The two teenage boys kept themselves entertained with fishing, canoeing, swimming & shuttlecock. One day we hiked around the gorge at Whetstone Gulf State Park (only 10 minutes away), and another day we drove the hour to Old Forge Water Safari, The Screamen Eagle in Inlet for pizza/wings & a round of miniature golf at Nutty Putty's before heading back. It was a nice week; we hated for it to end. Sparkling Waters is definitely a beautiful place.

We just returned from 2 weeks at Sparkling Waters. We have been going to Brantingham Lake for over 10 years because the area is so great for families. Sparking Waters camp was great, everything you could want for a home away from home. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the bathroom was recently renovated, and the view of the lake from the boat house could not be better. There is easy access to the lake and it is shallow enough for little ones to swim (and warm enough!). If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax and have fun with your family this is the place for you. You can canoe, hike, and swim all day long if you like, or relax on the deck with a good book and watch the sun set over the lake.
I have rented many houses on the lake and this was one of the best.
Some great summer day trips from Brantingham are; Old Forge, Alexandria Bay (Bolt castle is worth the drive), and Stillwater. If you get a chance to go to the Drive In movie, pack the car with blankets and pillows and watch the kids have the best time watching a movie outside.

This is the first time we recided to rent a cottage in the Adirondack Mountain area and as we were driving in from Toronto, we were a little reticent about staying in a totally unknown vacation spot. We booked our stay at beautiful Brantingham Lake in the last week of June and had a lovely time. The cottage is well equipped with a well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, linens and the staples (sugar, spices, garbage bags), so we didn't have to bring everything down. The screened-in porch has a beautiful view of the lake and there is a boathouse where we were able to park the canoe. This is a well loved place with lots of family history so we felt we were staying in a summer home. The owners are extremely helpful in providing info before you get there, as well as leaving local maps on site.
For a day trip, we drove to the Adirondack Museum on Blue Moutain Lake. It's a bit of a hike-2hours but the desination is beautiful with lots of interesting galleries and exhibits and a cafe. There are also a golfcourse minutes away from the cottage, as well as a store to get the newspaper, beer, and delicious local ice cream, as well as the bigger stores like Tops and Walmart just 20 minutes away in Lowville.
This is a great place for families, retired folks or anyone interested in stay in a quiet spot on Lake Brantingham!
