The beds are super comfy. And the hot water was awesome for showers. The downside was no air conditioning and it had a musty smell the back porch was falling apart. Couldn’t get the coffee pot to work. Kept tripping in the kitchen.

Absolutely loved our stay at this lovely location. A lot of room.

House is so much bigger than I thought it would be, I was pleasantly surprised. Nice updates to the bathroom, living room and kitchen; the beds were alright, but the bedding was super comfy! Only negative I can think of is the smell, smelled a bit like old pot or cigarellos, but it’s not off-putting. Would rent again.

We arrived during a heat wave and expected it to be warm but we’re very surprised when we opened the door to the house and it was like an oven inside. The host knew we were coming and didn't have a single window cracked to ventilate the heat, and even after we arrived and opened all the windows and doors and turned on the 2 tiny fans provided, the house was still over 100 degrees inside 2 hours later (at 10pm at night!) We were miserable. I contacted the host immediately upon arrival to ask if we could cancel the reservation because I was NOT comfortable sleeping with all the windows and doors open with sketchy activity going on outside the front door (person scanning a flashlight out front and a car stopped in the middle of the road looking towards the house for no apparent reason). The host replied saying I should have known it would be hot in August and should have booked somewhere with AC if it was a concern and offered no other assistance. Another fan or 2 or a little compassion would have been nice, but instead all I got was excuses and a bit of an attitude! I ended up staying awake most of the night because it was too hot for me to sleep and so my daughter would feel safer with the house being unsecured. The house is cute and clean but make sure you're comfortable sleeping with open windows at night if you book this place, and I'd advise against reserving it in July/August. We tried to make the most of it, but overall it was a very uncomfortable experience!

This was a great stay. House is much bigger than it looks from the outside and in the pictures. Eveything was clean and ready for us to stay.
Communication was good before check in and there were no issues once settled in the house so we had no need to reach back out to owner.
Didn't have any issues with the on street parking, even with a party happening across the street one night. Neighbors we intereacted with were polite and, even though we were exhaused after a day of exploring, the party was not a negative.
Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.

What a sweet little home. Comfortable beds, linens and just right for 4 to 6 people. We felt safe and it was very convenient to shopping and getting around in general. Kitchen utensils and necessities could use an upgrade, but it was fairly sufficient. We would definitely use this property again.

We love staying in the little blue house. The house has everything you need. The location is great and we love walking to grab coffee and food.

The house was nice for a weekend getaway to visit family. The location is actually quiet compared to the surrounding area. The house is cute and has charm. There are a couple downfalls 1) the king bed is incredibly uncomfortable it’s like sleeping on a lumpy rock. 2) the flooring is uneven from the kitchen to where the addition on the house is. So just remember that so you don’t trip over it which I did multiple times. There is also a two inch step into the master bedroom from the bathroom.
Overall though the house is cute and I would rent it again because it’s so close to our families house.

Staying in a home as supposed to a hotel was perfect for our family. It had been several years since we had all been together. It was just like old times.

What a great house! We kept saying we would could live there. Very clean, tastefully decorated, and well appointed. My favorite room was the living room; full of natural light and comfortable furniture. We didn't use the back yard but it was large with a nice shade tree. We had a wedding on Vashon and the ferry was less than 15 minutes away. Very close to the fabulous zoo and aquarium. Also 5 minutes to Target and Walmart. We went back and forth to Seattle as well and had easy proximity to I-5. The beds were very comfortable as well. Very glad we chose this place.

We enjoyed this home very much. The king bed was very comfy and there was plenty of space to spread out! The washer and dryer were fabulous! On street parking only. The house was the nicest one on the street and likely in the entire neighborhood!

Beautiful house, centrally located. Clean, well-supplied and inviting. Perfect for our short stay in Tacoma—and would have been perfect had we wanted to stay for a week or a month, too.

Home away from home
Had everything we needed. Great location. House layout was great- our kids are not excited about staying away from home- but open layout of house really put them at ease- they had their own space but didn't feel "away" from the family:)

Great cottage!
This cottage was perfect for our family! It was centrally located, had a fully stocked kitchen, and games/puzzles/movies for the kids. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the Seattle/Tacoma area.

Love it every time
I have rented this house quite a few times and I always feel like I’m coming “home” when I arrive. The kitchen is stocked well with all the things you need. The house is clean and thoughtfully decorated. The beds are comfy. The location is great. I love walking to 6th Street for coffee every morning. The proximity to University of Puget Sound is perfect. I can walk to campus to meet my daughter after class or just stroll through the beautiful campus on my daily walks. Can’t wait to be back a couple more times before graduation in May!

Deceptively lovely
This place
Looks tiny from the outside, but is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with a good supply of spices. My only complaint, as with many VRBO properties, is that there weren't any truly sharp carving knives. The dining table is small and the chairs not very substantial, but we managed a dinner for 6 easily.
I would stay here again and would hope to be able to use the ample fenced in yard.

Cozy house in Central Tacoma
We stayed at this house for the month of August. The house is nicely appointed and has a lot of nice conveniences (Tupperware, Keurig, etc.). The house is much larger than it appears from the pictures. The back yard is a nice place to relax. Would definitely return.

UPS Drop Off
We dropped our child off at University of Puget Sound and stayed at this property. It was PERFECT for our stay. The weekend was emotional so having this place to organize her things before moving her in to her dorm, make diner for a few of her new friends, and process this epic transition was so helpful. The property owner, Amy Jo, was friendly, engaging, helpful, and generous when COVID interrupted our original reservation. Highly recommend this listing. We will certainly reserve again when visiting Tacoma next

Nice home, great owners
We stayed here for a mini staycation and enjoyed the home. It’s kept up well. We did have a few issues with cleanliness but the owners were very communicative and took care of what we needed. There is a big yard and fairly quiet neighbors, with a decent location.
