This lake is so peaceful and relaxing. Great Bass fishing, averages about 3 -4 lbs that we caught during our stay. Kitchen is fully equipped that no matter what you cook or bake, they got it covered with pots/pans/utensils. Great view of the lake from the loft, livingroom and downstair bedroom. Lake is super clean but you may want to wear watershoes for comfort. Ralph was a super great host. Answered all questions within a timely fashion. Thank you Ralph and Kim for a great place to stay at.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Ralphs place. We swam and used the kayaks. Great floats available for our use. The kids loved fishing from the dock. Kitchen had anything that you could imagine you might need. We used the grill everyday and enjoyed the campfire. Peaceful area on quiet pond

Beautiful location for a retreat holiday. Enjoyed kayaking on the pond.

This property was absolutely wonderful. It was so very clean and well stocked with everything you can think of that you would need or want!
The location was great, so very peaceful and quiet. It was back a dirt road about 2.2 miles but that is one of the things my husband and I loved about it!!!!
Fishing was awesome for us, we caught over 80 bass, most were from 3 1/2 pound to 5 pound#!!! The resident eagles LOVED to follow us around the pond as we fished!
We traveled to Bangor, Greenville, Dexter, and Dover-Foxcroft for short little day trips, but we really hated to leave the "camp".
Ralph was great to deal with!
We stayed at the VRBO rental for 2 weeks and absolutely loved everything about it! We would LOVE to return in the future! We were sad to leave!

A beautiful cabin, fully stocked! The communication with the owners was excellent. A perfect get-a-way for some R&R. Definitely recommend staying here! So peaceful with the pond, the loons, fishing, kayaking, etc. Perfection!

Quiet, clean and relaxing setting. Great place to swim, kayak, play games or just sit and read while you listen to the loons.

Ralph and Kim are exceptional hosts! Great communication throughout the booking and check-in processes, including a detailed guide to the home and area and very helpful directions to the camp (with photos!). The house was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay and more. We took advantage of the 2 included kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the peaceful pond. We also enjoyed the use of the hammock, fire pit, and ample waterfront seating. The beds were extremely comfortable, which was a nice treat after days of hiking nearby.
We ventured to Peaks-Kenney State Park, Dover-Foxcroft, Bangor, and did a day trip to Acadia. You must try Butterfields Ice Cream, The Cluckin Moo, and Stutzmans for delicious options. We also took advantage of the day passes offered by Friends of Community Fitness for those missing their full workouts while we were vacationing, the facilities were great and the staff was friendly. The nearby Shaws supermarket in D-F had everything we needed.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay at the cabin and we would definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay at the cabin on the lakefront! The location was breathtaking with stunning views of the serene lake right from the cabin's doorstep. The host was extremely welcoming and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature and enjoying the beautiful sunsets made our stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. Five stars all the way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful spot! We never had a reason to contact the owners, as they have thought of everything, but they still reached out to make sure that we were all set. The wi-fi was excellent, even when we were outside watching for the daily loon and bald eagle sightings. The property is very private due to a nice buffer of trees on each side. The beds are very comfortable, which was appreciated at the end of a fun day of hiking, kayaking, geocaching and/or swimming. It's a short drive to groceries and fun yummy eating spots. Don't miss the pizza buffet at Stuzman's, Butterfield's homemade ice cream, or a visit to Abbot Bakery! This part of our state is beautiful and staying here was great to return to after doing some exploring. We would've loved to have stayed longer!!

This property offers everything you need for a terrific, relaxing getaway. The owner responds quickly to any questions. The place is set up so well, that anything you think you might need, is there for you. The kayaks are a plus, and the lake is big enough to explore without being too big. The loons serenaded us each day, and we were fortunate in having the bald eagle fly over as we fished. The dock has steps for easy entry into the chrystal clear pond. Sandy bottom with some rocks, but easy to walk in. Take west road directly off of Sangierville rd, down a well maintained, clearly marked dirt road to the cabin. There is direct tv with streaming services, and another upstairs with direct tv. Only 30 to 40 minutes from Greenville and Moosehead lake region. 2 hrs from Acadia. Cleanest vacation home we have rented. Pictures do not show how spacious it feels. Plenty of room to spread out. We hope to visit again.

The cabin and property were beautiful. It was clean, very well appointed and comfortable. Ralph was quick to respond to any questions or issues that arose. The kayaks, dock, hammock and firepit were the icing on the cake and where we spent most of our time given the perfect weather we had for the week. Highly recommend.

After a rough start right before the planned vacation, we made it to Sangerville. Ralph was so patient with us and so welcoming as we were a bit stressed around some family issues going on. It's a wonderful home with everything you can think of needing or desiring on a vacation. Beautiful location and so peaceful. Definitely recommend this home and host.

Excellent
Very comfortable, well stocked cottage. Website is very accurate. Owners are wonderful and respond to all emails within 24 hours.
Pond is very big and has BIG bass. You will have to have patience in finding out what they will bite but all the Bass that we caught average from 2.5 lbs to 4 lbs. We used a popper.

Center Pond
Excellent week at Center Pond. Very nice property and quiet. Owner is very attentive if needed. Beautiful area. Would recommend visiting Stutzman's Farm, Peace Love and Waffles. and Turning Page Farm. Mt. Kineo and Borestone Mountain (Audubon Sanctuary) are also great if you want some easy hikes (Note: somewhat physically challenging if not in decent shape).

Tranquil and peaceful
What a great experience we had in Sangerville ME! The camp we stayed at was centrally located to all the sites we wanted to visit such as Bangor, Bar Harbor, Baxter State Park, Moosehead Lake & Cadillac Mountain. It's a cozy cabin with a very homey feel, all that we needed minus food was onsite. Loved being able to kayak the pond daily, fire pit is a plus, reading my book on the hammock was so relaxing, hearing the loons, watching the eagles fly over and beautiful sunsets added to its allure. The host was awesome, he sent explicit directions and information about his place and the area. Little notes all over the house left nothing to guess about in regards to how things worked or what to do. It's a little off the beaten path, 2 miles down a gravel road. We should have rented a truck rather than a small car for that reason, but the little town has 2 great places we visited. Stutzmans Farm stand and bakery and Chew 62 restaurant. Both well worth the visit! Very beautiful spot and enjoyed our visit very much!

Wonderful Family Vacation on Center Pond
First, Ralph (the owner) is a pleasure to deal with. He explains everything about the house and area in great detail. We new exactly where to get our groceries and pick up our lobster before we even got there. The home is clean, comfy and well-stocked. We felt at home immediately! Center Pond (which is more like a small lake) is clear and warm. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. We saw local wildlife such as eagles, beavers, loons, frogs and chipmunks. We had day trips to the Moosehead Lake area and Bangor. Overall, a great family vacation!

Taking a breakfast with bald eagles
We were looking for a comfortable cabin, far from the city, in front of a lake, this is exactly what we got and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Nothing was missing, even sharing the neighborhood with loons and bald eagles.

Spotless and modern camp on a pristine, quiet lake in the middle of nowhere
This camp was amazing! Very clean, modern, and beautiful. The beds were really comfortable, and there was plenty of space inside (which, for a Maine camp, is rare!). Being right on the lake was fantastic! The water off the dock is quite shallow, 3' or so, and stays shallow for a long time - 30'+ out. This is great for little kids and lounging on floaties, but not so great for diving (impossible) and swimming. But the water was warm, clear, and the sandy and slightly rocky bottom was not mucky. Great fishing too - caught a 3 lb bass right off the dock at sunset! The camp location is right in the middle of nowhere - 20+ minutes to the nearest store, 1+ hrs to the nearest major activity (decent hiking, whitewater rafting, shopping), so a lot of driving is involved if you want to do more than stay at the lake. But that being said, this place was simply amazing and relaxing! Definitely worth the cost.

Vacation perfection.
From start to finish - absolute perfection. The Hosts attention to details made this vacation an absolute dream. The location and view were a literal breath of fresh air. If you crave a vacation where you can "get away from it all" this is the property for you. We have come home relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you Ralph and Kim!

Perfect & Peaceful
This property was absolutely perfect. Check in was easy and Ralph was very quick to respond to any questions I had. The home was super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need for the week. Our girls, aged 8 & 9, had so much fun with the water being steps away from the back door. I highly recommend this property and wouldn’t think twice about renting it again. Thank you Ralph & Kim for opening your home to our family.

Quiet Retreat
This Camp on Center Pond is the perfect vacation home. There were 6 of us including 2 adults and 4 kids -16-21. We all fit comfortably using the air bed and one we brought. We had everything we needed and rarely left the cabin. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could think of to cook a delicious lobster dinner. The kids used the kayaks and floats and went fishing every day. We saw the eagles in the trees across the pond and flying over as well. We enjoyed the fire pit as well and made use of the gas grill. For fresh fruit veggies and homemade pies and bread- Stutzmans is the place to go. Ralph was an excellent host and could not have been more helpful and responsive to any questions or concerns we had before and during our stay. We all hated leaving to go home and would definitely return and recommend this camp to anyone looking for quiet seclusion.

Wow!!!
Ralph is an awesome person to deal with and this property is just amazing. The location is so secluded and private. The house is so warm and inviting. It's very rare that I'm comfortable in someone else's home..... This was not the case here. You instantly feel like you belong. Beds are comfortable and the place has everything you need to relax and enjoy lakeside living. Center Pond is gorgeous. Bald Eagles, Loons and Osprey were around daily. Swimming was great in the pristine water. Kayaking was so relaxing and gave us a great opportunity to see the wildlife and beautiful lake. The fire pit was great for campfires and s'mores. We loved eating dinner at the picnic tables looking at the water. The sky at night was insane. We saw dozens of shooting stars and satellites orbiting while listening to the Loons calling back and forth. The property was located in a great spot for us to get our first Maine experience. We made trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We also spent a day in Baxter State Park driving the scenic roads and hiking. Overall, we loved this property. It's a great value and Ralph is so nice. Book this place and fall in love with Maine. After this trip, we are official Maine-iacs!!!

Perfect Retreat
This cottage was the most beautiful we have ever rented in both Vermont and Maine. The attention to providing guests the very best is appreciated! This trip we were able to visit a few new hiking/climbing spots in the area. There is so much to be explored in this quiet, beautiful area. The view every morning and evening on Center Pond is well worth the trip from NJ!

Perfect spot on Center Pond
We absolutely loved it at Center Pond camp. We literally had everything we needed there. We enjoyed the kayaks and watching the loons and eagles. During the week you basically have the pond to yourselves. It was perfect!

Fantastic secluded Maine camp with all the comforts of home
Absolutely loved the camp. Ralph keeps it stocked with all of the amenities, and it is close enough to the rest of the world that you can get what you need, but isolated enough that you really feel like you are getting away from it all. Lots to explore on the pond itself, but also close to a number of parks and places to hike if you feel like adventuring a bit. Ralph was the consummate host/owner, and was always available to answer questions when needed. It was my family's first time vacationing in Maine, and our time at this camp has turned us into "Mainers". We would come back to Ralph's home without hesitation. Well worth the drive up from Massachusetts. Thanks again for offering up your home for rental!

Tranquil getaway
This is a wonderful place. Well-equipped with everything you need for a lake vacation. Private and quiet, except for the loons who sound a symphony at times over the lake. We loved that part especially. Ralph was so easy to work with and very responsive to all of my questions before our stay. He provides you with lots of detailed information . The place was very clean and comfy. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for another relaxing week!

Great quiet cabin
Nice cabin for the 2 of us. Great view of the pond (more like a lake). Great metal dock. Kitchen was roomy and equipped with most everything you need. We cook a lot, so that was nice to have. Area was very quiet and secluded. Nice back yard with picnic tables, hammock and firepit. Ralph was a great host. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage and lake were exactly what the "Doctor Ordered". Could not have been any better!
We have travelled and stayed in many places but this was the best. The lake was great, kayaking was perfect. The cottage was immaculate, well supplied with linens, towels, kitchen utensils and great directions and instructions. The lake was great and the site was private, quiet and beautiful. Directions to the local area were right on, locations for restaurants, groceries and sightseeing were perfect. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your cottage!

Looking for quiet and secluded wrapped up in an amazing cabin? You found it!
One must travel 2 miles of unpaved roads through beautiful wooded land to reach this very well stocked cabin. The kitchen has everything you could think of. The cabin was beautiful inside with the master bedroom in a cozy and very comfortable loft. We used the kayaks, they and the PFDs and paddles were in great condition. We ate outside at the picnic tables and enjoyed watching the dragonflies. We listened to loons and used the fire pit to roast marshmellows. My husband finished 3 books just sitting on the dock enjoying the amazing weather. There were big floats and an electric pump to fill them. The water was warm enough to swim in and we were glad we took Ralphs advice and brought water shoes. It is a very clear big pond but the rocks were slippery. We have never stayed anywhere so organized! We went to decompress from stressful jobs but if we wanted restaurants and shops Bangor is not far away. In, Dover Foxcroft we ate homemade ice cream at Butterfields and in Sangerville we visited a farm stand and enjoyed fresh corn, delicious fruit pies, bread still hot from the ovens and yummy whoopie pies. Just outside of Sangerville there is a chamber of commerce with lots of info and friendly staff.

Beautiful property! Very clean, very private and well stocked with every convenience.
This place was immaculate and well maintained, inside an out. The owners really thought of everything. If you think you forgot something, they probably have it there. They even have a nice library if you like to read with a great reading chair with a fantastic view, my wife's favorite spot. Outside a firepit, picnic tables, chairs, hammock, kayaks and nice dock with stairs into the water, my kids favorite spot. For my family, this felt like home away from home, nobody wanted to leave!

A Peace of Heaven
The house and all that was shown on the web page was exactly what we expected, AMAZING. We loved the tranquility, peace, fresh air, the loons and amazed as to how clear the water on Center Pond was. The Bass fishing from the start was on fire caught two 4.5 lbs Large Mouth Bass and many 2 & 3 lbs. The 1st day we got their we knew we had made the perfect choice for our week vacation. Ralph the owner was amazing from the start. He was very informative and ensured we had all we needed prior and during our vacation. We'll keep this place in mind for future vacations.
