About this house rental
We are a large newly renovated home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We have 4 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. There is a hot tub and a large screened in porch. 2 living rooms and large dining room with table for 10. Fireplace and outdoor fire pit.

Chris, our host, was so communicative and accommodating. We were a grandparent in wheelchair to toddler group, and all of us were comfortable in the space. The home has views from every window and a lovely outdoor space. The setting is very private, with trees surrounding the home. The large back yard and deck are so inviting; we spent every afternoon and evening outside, eating on the deck, and playing with the kids. The kitchen is a well-equipped dream with a large island. There are multiple spaces to gather, but our favorite was the enclosed sunporch. The private beach access is a bonus that we used one morning. We'll return for sure. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

Great family vacation spot. The kids loved the private beach across the street. Trailhead for Cobb hill just a short walk down the road - a lovely first hike for our 3 and 5 year old.
With multiple living areas, huge kitchen, and a large backyard, it never felt crowded with 2 families plus Grandma and Grandpa - who had their own bedroom and bathroom on the 1st floor.

My group and I had a great time, and the house was more than large enough for our entire group of 8. We were also pleasantly surprised at how modern all of the amenities were, including the full gas range, hot tub/jacuzzi, and very nice flatscreen TV. The fireplace was also very nice and cozy. It's in a quiet area but just 5 minutes from the center of town.

Chris the owner was easy to deal with. House was as advertised and worked great for our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). The hot tub was a big hit. I would recommend this house if you are looking for a nice private house just outside downtown Lake Placid.

This house was so perfect for our group. It never felt crowded, even when everyone wanted to hangout in the kitchen area. The large dining room table was great for family dinner and playing board games. Great location in a nice quiet neighborhood but still close to the action. Chris is a great host and quick to respond to emails.

We had a delightful time! The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect for walks around Mirror Lake and enjoying the town of Lake Placid. There was firewood in the garage for us to have cozy fires in the fireplace and play board games and make crafts on the dining room table. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked to make family meals. Wonderful place for our family New Year's long weekend.

Very cozy house, in great location close to Mirror Lake and Main St, but still in a quiet road.
Was very well equipped with anything we needed, from kitchen utensils, appliances and cleaning material.
Looks much better in person than pictures, some furniture has been replaced for newer.

This home is amazing for a large group looking to relax, but still be close to town and hiking.
The location of the home is perfect and you will love every feature of the home! You are close to town, golf, and hiking, but in a quiet neighborhood. We loved the large table for family game night and beach access during the day for kayaking.

Great property! We loved the house and had a blast ❤️ This rental was a a fun place to stay for our son’s graduation from Clarkson. Yes, it’s roughly an hour and half from Clarkson but a whole lot closer than where we’re from…and Lake Placid is so fun to explore. The house was perfect with tons of space, a great hot tub and a cornhole set that we thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful home!

My husband and three teenage boys stayed at this house for a week and it was perfect. Well equipped, clean and within walking distance to town and the lake. Quiet nights around the fire pit while the boys played wiffle ball were perfect. We hiked, rented a pontoon boat, road ATV’s, zip lined at Experience Outdoors (awesome) and visited the Olympic sites. All in all a great family vacation and a great house!

This is the perfect house and perfect location for triathlon training. A group of friends and I stayed here so that we could swim, bike, and run the IMLP course just for general training for future races. We had an amazing time! The house is very roomy with tons of space for lots of different people. The kitchen is enormous and updated which enabled us to easily prepare meals. The private beach was perfect for swimming the LP course! It was relaxing, convenient, and the property managers are friendly, responsive individuals. Loved it! We will be back!!

This was the perfect place for a vacation! The home provided enough space for us all to spend time together without feeling like we were on top of each other. The yard, kitchen, bathrooms, large dining table & hot tub all accommodated our group of 6 adults very comfortably. The small extra's were wonderful, firewood for the fireplace & fire pit, coffee, some spices and all the cooking tools you may need were available. The boats were a fantastic addition! Plenty to do close by, the town was within a comfortable walk, and short drives to great hiking. Check in and out was very easy. Communication with owners was also very good. Overall their home was perfect for our group and I would highly recommend!

Hot tub a step outside the door was AMAZING and the garage was perfect for working out.Location was perfect - a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Main St. Quick trip to Whiteface and Porter/Cascade mountain trail.You CAN NOT go wrong with this rental/host !

The house was perfect for our group of 7! We loved lake placid and all it had to offer. We made good use of the fire pit, hot tub (and loved its location so easy to access from house) the fire place and cooked every meal! Our main purpose for the trip was skiing and Whiteface did not disappoint. From beginners in our group learning at bears den to better skiers going up Whiteface and little Whiteface. Very Covid safe - felt like we were the only ones on the mountain! We will be back to enjoy your beautiful home and town. Thank you.

House has a large kitchen with a comfy sitting area four nice bedrooms two bathrooms have walk in showers one bathroom has a bath, large dining living room with fireplace, great hot tub just outside the sliding door to enjoy in the snow or cold weather. We greatly enjoyed our time in Lake Placid. Chris met us upon arrival and showed us the house. Chris was very friendly. The house was clean and beautiful. It had everything you would need for a nice stay. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit was fantastic. We were very close to the shops and restaurants in town. I really appreciated how easy everything was from booking the property to leaving on our final day. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

My family rented this house for a week long vacation. The owner is very nice and personally stopped by to greet us. The location of the house is great. The private beach on Mirror Lake is very nice. The backyard is great - big and private. The use of a canoe is nice. However, here are a few ways this property came up short for us:
1. The house is not a rental property - it is the full-time home of the owners and when they rent it they move out to another property they have in the area. The owner did tell me that the house would have some of their things in it when I spoke with her before making the reservation. The house had many (most) of their things in it since they live their full-time. For us it was a bit weird.
2. The house was not very clean. Lots of dog hair on the floors and furniture in the family room. I had to vacuum the entire house and the furniture in the family room the second day we were there. I also wiped down the kitchen cabinet fronts and handles because they were dirty. The screen porch had what looked like some animal droppings on some of the chair cushions and the floor needed sweeping.
3. The screen porch has multiple screens that were in poor repair and were not fully attached/sealed. No only did this let insects in but a chipmunk appeared several times who looked like he/she was very comfortable hanging out. Maybe the source of the animal droppings mentioned above.
4. The canoe was available for use but the front seat support was broken and had been fixed with a section of electrical cord. There were 4 life jackets available as advertised; but they were all youth sizes so no use to 4 adults in our group.
5. The ad said a kayak was available. Technically it was but the owner said it was her personal kayak and that she would be happy to bring it over when we wanted to use it - just call. I didn't think that was right. We rented instead.
6. The house is not really decorated in an Adirondack theme so if you are expected that you will be disappointed. There is some of that but much of the house is like any neighborhood house anywhere.
7. One of the bedrooms upstairs had a mural that was being painted that was halfway done. That was strange. The room really was not appealing with that big wall not fully painted and some of the other wall's paint not in good shape.
8. We couldn't get all of the burners on the gas grill to work so we only used it once.

The house is better than advertised. Everything needed for the stay was at the house. Washer & dryer were especially convenient. Location was great & kids loved the private beach and canoe.
