We stayed in this house for my son's wedding. There were 8 adults in total, allowing all of us to be very comfortable. The house is beautiful and very clean. Since this was just built within the last few years, there's nothing tired about the property that you can find with so many homes. The design of the bathrooms on the top two floors is great with the shower/sink/mirror in one room, toilet in another and then a third with another sink and mirror. Let's multiple people utilize at the same time. The location is great, an easy walk to everything.
The only thing worth mentioning is if you need outdoor space for kids, there isn't any yard to play in. There's a small deck with a grill, which was totally sufficient for us. If you need more than that, just something to keep in mind.
Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others coming to the area.

Our stay at Little bear lodge was fantastic. Brought family and friends together for NCAA figure skating nationals and the location was perfect! Walked to everything needed and a quick trip for groceries. The house was clean, tidy and perfect for our group. Highly recommend

The location is great for enjoying the village. The house is charming and modern. It’s nice that it’s set back from Main St. as it’s close to everything but quite and relaxing at the same time.

We stayed for 5 nights with 10 adults. The place was spotless! Great location within walking distance to Main Street, shopping, restaurants, etc. It’s a 15-20 min drive to Whiteface and short drive to the Olympic attractions. Having 3 levels was great as everyone was spread out and there were enough beds/bedrooms/baths to accommodate 4 couples/2 singles. There is limited storage/closet space in each room but we didn’t have an issue with it and there is a larger closet on basement level if need to store things. Unique bathroom set-up and really convenient for large groups. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We highly recommend staying here. We plan to book again next year.

The house was beautiful , clean and spacious. My only suggestion is to put padding on the kitchen chair legs because they are very noisy when sleeping on the lower level.

Beautiful property extremely clean. 6 adults, a 20 year old and two 18 year olds were very comfortable with every amenity thought of. Excellent location. Spent Christmas there. Super time !

Stay was excellent with one major recommendation. This property should have a plowing service. We had approximately 4” of snow when we arrived. The driveway is extremely steep and if you don’t four wheel drive you can not get up driveway. With the temperature changes there was ice. There was no ice melt available and one of our family members fell and hit his head in the driveway. Called owner and he said purchase and we would be reimbursed.

Every detail listed on VRBO was spot on. We had 11 guests. The beds were very comfortable. Each room was spacious. The rental had every convenience available. The decor was beautiful along with the view from the abundance of windows. Thank you we will book again.

We were in Lake Placid for our daughter’s wedding. Our stay at Little Bear Lodge was exceptional! There were so many little amenities that made our stay so pleasant; extra towels in each of the 2 linen closets, extra blankets, sheets, pillows, everything we needed in the kitchen, TVs in almost every bedroom and lots of space to sit and relax. The location was within walking distance to every place that we needed to be! Many thanks to the owners for their quick response to any of our questions! Definitely would recommend to my friends! And we will be back!

We just got back from 4 days in Lake Placid for a wedding. Three couples shared this rental. Plenty of room for everyone and the location location location! Walked to coffee shop, restaurants and tons of shops. Walk around Mirror Lake 2.7 miles. Check in process and communication was a breeze.

Lovely house and location. Across the street is an upscale bar/bowling alley/game room and live music. Heard the music from the house, but it wasn't offensive.
However, if you are looking for a house with a yard for the kids to throw a ball and for a dog to run, this isn't the house for you. There is no outdoor space other than a small deck with a gas grill leading to the front door that is surrounded by other homes and parking. The posted photo is misleading in that they show what could be a yard covered with snow, but is actually parking spots covered with snow.
Also, the kitchen is tight. Kitchen island is for 8 people, not 10 people as described. It was difficult to open the refrigerator because the chairs are in the way. Not a deterrent for our party of 7, but would be if we were a larger party.

Couldn’t ask for anything better, house is clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, all the amenities imaginable, short walk to town, even though you’re on Main Street, you can’t hear any traffic noise inside the house, no complaints whatsoever, would definitely stay here again, highly recommended!

The house was in a perfect location for walking to town. We loved the cabin feel and the spread of bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor. It allowed our full family to spread out and accommodated all age ranges perfectly. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable and we plan on being back!

Very nice new home! We enjoyed being able to walk on the sidewalks to town and around Mirror Lake! Very central location with great sunset views of the mountains. I would recommend it because of the clean new condition of the home!

This home is beautiful and in a fantastic location. Beds were very comfortable and those incredibly large windows allowed for optimal views of the snow that fell every day. It was like living in a snow globe for 3 days! The owner was very responsive and very kind with answering questions and helping during the reservation process. Will definitely reserve this property again!!!

This is our family’s second time staying in the beautiful “Bear House”. Beautifully detailed new home with great living space and very clean, all in a perfect location to Main Street. My husband and I come to Lake Placid every year for New Years. We wanted to include my parents, siblings, and their kids so we booked little bear lodge. The house was spacious, clean, and conveniently located. We had a blast! The house’s rustic decor was charming and welcoming. Ray and Claire responded quickly to all inquiries and made the process easy for us. We would definitely love to stay here again!

The house was beautiful and well appointed. The beds & bedding were super comfy. We enjoyed the warm fire place & cozy furniture in the hearth room. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was adequate parking. Our host was easy to communicate with. We would definitely book this house again if we were gathering as a family in Lake Placid.
