This home was perfect for us. Our family attended a 3 day wedding in Germantown. We had 3 groups and each had their own bedroom and bathroom. A perfect layout for our situation.
Thank you to Amelia for the use of her beautiful home.

Beautiful home with a fabulous wrap around upper deck. Every sunset was gorgeous!. A very tidy house with everything you could need. We had a lovely time.

We put our friends up for the weekend - 3 couples plus 4 adult children and one dog. Everyone had lots of private space, comfy beds, all kitchen needs, and magnificent views. The downstairs media room worked perfectly as bedroom #5. Amelia was responsive and helpful. Grateful to have such a lovely place nearby.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! The house was spacious and full of natural light, quiet and well kept. The owner was available and bent over backwards to help us when we reached out. I definitely recommend visiting this property!

We had a great stay at Amelia's house. There was plenty of space for 3 adult couples, 3 kids, and one dog. The house was clean and well equipped. I would recommend it to anyone!

You know how property pictures look so inviting... until you show up -- and are disappointed? Fear not: this property wows and exceeds expectations. While talking to others, it was difficult to refrain from gazing out the huge picturesque windows overlooking the Catskill mountains. The roomy house is situated near the top of the treeline, quite private, and stunning. And it doesn't stop there: the owner has thoughtfully provided all one needs for meals, although we only ate breakfasts there, but the coffee grinder was much appreciated. Warm, comfy and we'd love to return. Owner response excellent.

Our stay here was great - everything pre-arrival and upon arrival was easy to coordinate. We had no issues and found the home to be well-equipped with kitchen appliances, etc. and anything else we needed. Thank you!

This home was easily the best temporary rental anyone in my party had ever experienced and it was perfect for what we wanted: a spacious and comfortable spot out of the city to enjoy nature and a relaxed, fun time with family. The house was comfortable and very well stocked with everything we needed. The property itself is nestled away in the trees, the balcony view is beautiful, even when it was raining the huge windows made the house a lovely place to be. It was easy to check in, instructions were clear and the owner gave us helpful notes about hiking/restaurants/fun stuff near by. I hope we can return to this house one day.

There are beautiful views from the windows and deck of this lovely home that look out onto a peaceful landscape. The sounds of birds, and the occasional glimpse of young deer scampering by add to the feeling of tranquility - a very soothing location with easy access to nearby state parks, and the city of Hudson, which has many choices for dining. Inside, the house is extremely comfortable. The great room is wonderful for gathering, and watching a summer shower, the kitchen is well-appointed with plenty of cookware and utensils. The primary bedroom is on the top level, en-suite, and a loft area with desk for working. Main floor bedrooms are a good size. The ground floor is like having a separate apartment available, with a bathroom and a den (including a sofa bed if needed). Wifi and air conditioning. Directions were clear, labels on switches in the house are very helpful, and suggestions for nearby attractions useful - we are grateful for the host's thoughtful planning in preparing her home for guests. My family and I had a lovely stay, and recommend the property whole-heartedly.

Great house for a quiet getaway

This home was incredible! Absolutely perfect for a family gathering where we wanted to just be together whether lounging, eating, playing games or cooking. The open floor plan made it possible and cozy. All the needs were thought of and we had a great stay. My one complaint, and it feels significant, is that the sofa bed in the den was practically not useable. It sloped at such an angle down that those who were forced to sleep there did not really sleep. The mattress was not supportive and the springs were very uncomfortable. I felt really bad for the family members who got stuck with that bed. Obviously expectations for a sofa bed are always low but this was not and should not have been considered in the number of places to sleep especially when we paid so much to be there. That being said, if four bedrooms are all you need, this house is perfect. The ping pong table adds a fun touch and the view of the mountains is incredible. We’d come back in a slightly smaller group for sure!

This place was a perfect getaway. We spent about 10 days here and were very sad to leave. The house is outstanding: gorgeous views, fall colors, plenty of space, perfectly stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and seating areas, lovely sunset and excellent host. Truly perfect. We were here as a couple, but also had guests for a few days. It worked well in both instances. The surrounding area is full of stuff to do and everything you need isn't far away including supermarket and farm stands. Note that you must go up stairs for most of the house, just in case there are any mobility issues in your party.

My friends and I had an excellent time at the cabin. The house is beautiful and relaxing, and we had perfect Fall weather. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

All I can say is the house was beautiful set back on a dirt road in the mountains. My family enjoyed there stay and we will for sure be coming back to enjoy it again. The view for the sunset from the living room was breathtaking. And so refreshing not to have a TV in the living room made it great family time. And just sitting on the deck was so relaxing. Perfect place to rent.

We were there for our 50th anniversary with 4 grown kids and 3 grandchildren. The layout of the house was ideal, with a master suite upstairs, 2 bedrooms on the main floor and 1 downstairs, with a separate living area. The highlight is the spacious and open great room, with tall windows and a lovely view. The kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked meals three evenings. It also has a nice fire pit with 6 Adirondack chairs. Although the property is remote, it is convenient to a supermarket (5 miles) and the lovely town of Hudson, with lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Bottom line: We made a great choice and will return again!

Great family home with beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Limited yard for children to play.
Easy check-in and communication with owner was prompt. House could have been cleaner for my liking and disappointed gas grill was not fully functional. Location is close to Lake Taghkanic State Park which we enjoyed on a couple of occasions. Fire pit was an evening ritual along with s'mores!

Great stay in Elizaville
In town for Triform Camphill Graduation with family. The house was spotless, kitchen had every utensil & appliance, love that the house had well water and a refrigerator filter, plenty of towels and linens for the comfortable beds, close to Hudson. House is on a dirt road, set back with beautiful sunset view from the deck and excellent wifi. Would highly recommend and would rent again.

What a gem in the mountains!
I've been hesitant to write a raving review because I want to keep this house a secret - it is truly amazing! We spent a relaxing long snowy weekend for my birthday, just my wife and 5 year old son. Everything was exactly as stated. In fact the it was even more amazing in the real life than the pictures convey. Fully stocked and cozy, we didn't want to leave. If you must venture out for food, the West Taghkanic Diner down the hill on the main road was so good. Diner food, but for foodies. To top it off, the host was extremely responsive and even let us check in a little early. We will be back!

A blissful long weekend in the woods
Amelia's home in Elizaville was the perfect place to relax for a long weekend! We were a group of eight humans and three dogs, and there was plenty of space for everyone to both spread out and be together. One particularly delightful part of the house was the openness of the main room -- kitchen, living, and dining areas were all connected, with an absolutely gorgeous view of the mountains out the floor-to-very-high-ceiling windows.
Another thing we loved: the outdoor shower! It was so relaxing to take a hot rinse on a cool evening under a full moon -- and there is plenty of ecologically-friendly soap provided.
It turned out to be surprisingly warm when we visited, and Amelia was in touch about the newly-installed mini-split units in the house; in addition to the two units in the main space, each bedroom had their own unit, which made it so easy to cool the spaces we were actively using.
One thing to note -- and Amelia responded quickly to our message about this! -- there are many carpenter bees who have made their home(s) in the wood on the outside of the home, which rendered the beautiful deck difficult to use during the day.
We will absolutely be back!

Great place to stay!
We loved this house! It had just enough space for everyone while still feeling cozy and had great amenities (kitchen was stock with pans, pantry items, board games/puzzles, lots of towels/washer and dryer)! The view is awesome from the great room! It was one of our favorite places that we’ve stayed so far and would love to stay again!

Beautiful home
Everything about this place was nice for a nice winter stay! House was clean and had everything you would need! Games, ping pong table and great collection of CDs. Great Location to different activities, skiing was 30mins away, quaint towns were 10 mins away. The owner was also very easy to communicate to answer any questions we had.

Clean, spacious house, everything you need
We had a great stay at this property. Amelia was extremely responsive and helpful in the planning and the house itself had everything we needed and more. The games, books, etc. throughout the house gave us many options for all ages. The rooms are spread over three floors and the house overall is bigger than it seems in the pictures- plenty of space for groups. We hope to stay again.

Amazing Stay!
Could not have asked for a more perfect place for my family to get together to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The house was so warm and cozy with ample space for our group of 8 adults and 1 toddler. The views were simply GORGEOUS! Will definitely be booking again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Perfect for our Multi Generational Family Trip
We booked this home for three nights because we had a family wedding close by (it actually ended up being only ten minutes away which was such a bonus!).
The location was great and the house is just as described. It was nice for my daughter and her husband and three little ones to have the space downstairs...bedroom, bathroom, and room with a large pull-out couch. There was even a pack 'n play for the baby (although we already packed ours so didn't need it).
The bedrooms were all comfy and plenty of linens and extra towels if needed. It was really nice to have such a well appointed kitchen! And very thoughtful to have extra toys and games for evenings of family fun.
We mostly appreciated the beautiful location with mountain and autumn leaves views and the quiet. When we checked out I had a question about the trash (the can was already full and I didn't want to leave a bag on top without lid closed) and the host responded within minutes!
I would happily stay here again for an event like this or just to be with family or friends. Such a pretty area of the country to stay in with lots to do besides weddings lol

Perfect getaway location
A group of 6 of us have been meeting centrally in the Hudson Valley to enjoy a long weekend together for a decade and Amelia's place is perfect for us! The rooms feel cozy without being claustrophobic, there's plenty of space for hanging out, and the kitchen is stocked with all the pots and pans you need to prep up a feast after a day of raucous laughter.

This home is perfect for a family who wants to get away from it all and have a relaxing vacation. We had 8 adults and a dog the space was plenty big and very comfortable. The views were gorgeous and the quiet was just what we needed. It's the kind of place you can find plenty to do or simply do nothing. The host, Amelia was available for any issues we had.
